Light to medium novelty prints (The sample quilt uses 1¼ yards of Cityscape Stella- SRR607 Multi, and 3/4 yards each of City Life Stella-SRR606 Multi, Windowsill Cats Stella- SRR610 Grey, Houseplants Stella-SRR612 Multi, and Bicycles Stella-SRR608 Multi from Dear Stella's City Life collection.) Bright green print (The sample quilt uses 7/8 yard of Triangle Dot Stella-SRR613 Olive from Dear Stella's City Life collection.) 1 5 /8 yards 3¼ yards minimum total. Note: 4¼ yards were used for the sample quilt, with some yardage left over. 3/4 yard Number of Shapes to Cut Cut 4 5½" x WOF (width of fabric) strips. Fanfold into 3¼" widths and sub cut 48 quarter square triangles (QSTs). Cut 8 4" x WOF strips. Fanfold into 3¼" widths and sub cut 192 half square triangles (HSTs). Cut 21 5½" x WOF strips. Fanfold into 5½" widths and sub cut a total of 144 signature blocks. (Note: The sample quilt uses 48 blocks from 8 strips of Cityscape Stella-SRR607 Multi, and 24 blocks each from 4 strips each of City Life Stella-SRR606 Multi, Windowsill Cats Stella-SRR610 Grey, Houseplants Stella-SRR612 Multi, and Bicycles Stella-SRR608 Multi.) Cut 2 4" x WOF strips. Fanfold into 3¼" widths and sub cut a total of 48 HSTs. Cut 6 2¼" x WOF strips for binding using GO! Strip Cutter-2¼" (1¾" Finished) (55053) Novelty print for backing (The sample quilt uses 3 yards of Windowsill Cats Stella- SRR610 Grey from Dear Stella's City Life collection.) 3 yards Remove selvages. Cut 1 yard from yardage. Sub cut the cut yard into two 22" x 36" sections. Join the sections together along one short edge. Join the sections to the remaining yardage along one long edge. Press the seams open. Batting 56" x 72" Page 2 of 5

Arrange the patches as shown, making sure to place the green HST at the top. Join the green HST to one long edge of the signature block.

3 Sewing Instructions Press seams open and use ¼" seams, unless otherwise indicated. Be careful not to stretch bias edges. Make the Triangle Units 1. Select one 4½" finished signature block (Shape 10), one green 2¼" finished half square triangle (HST) (Shape 5) and two grey 2¼" finished HSTs (Shape 5) for each upper triangle unit. Arrange the patches as shown, making sure to place the green HST at the top. Join the green HST to one long edge of the signature block. Join one grey HST to either lower short edge of the signature block. Press the seams open. 2. Select two 4½" finished signature blocks (Shape 10) and two grey 2¼" finished HSTs (Shape 5) for each lower triangle unit. Arrange the patches as shown. Join one grey HST to each signature block along the adjacent edges. Press the seams open. Sew the two signature block/hst units together along the diagonal edge, matching the center seams. Press the seam open. 3. Join the upper and lower triangle units together, matching seams, to complete the triangle unit. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 to make a total of 48 triangle units. Make the Blocks 1. Arrange four triangle units in two diagonal rows of two units each as shown. Join the units in each row along adjacent edges, matching all seamlines. Press the seams open. Join the rows together, and press the seam open. Page 3 of 5

Arrange the blocks into four rows of three blocks each. Join the blocks in each row along adjacent edges, matching seamlines. Press the seams open. 2. Join the rows together along adjacent edges, matching seamlines. Press the seams open or in one direction. Page 4 of 5

Finishing and Quilting 1. Layer the batting between the quilt top and backing, with the wrong sides facing the batting. Pin or baste the layers together. Quilt as desired. 2.

Press the strip in half lengthwise, with wrong sides together. Stitch the binding to the quilt front, matching raw edges and mitering corners. Fold the binding to the quilt back, encasing the raw edges. Hand stitch the binding to the quilt back. Page 5 of 5
