1 Stash Away Quilt Shoppe Newsletter ~September~ 2014 I can't believe that we are heading to the end of 2014, where did the time go? Row by Row is winding down, as of this writing we have not had a winner. October 31 st is the final date to present your quilt for the prize. September 2, is the final day for receiving your free pattern. There are a few new classes and events in this end of the year newsletter. I hope that we have something to offer you. MVCQ Quilt Show Beginning in September until the end of March, the Stash Away will be offering the use of classroom, equipment (irons, ironing boards, sandwiching table), design walls. The second Sunday of every month from 11:00am-5:00pm will be open for any member of MVCQ, who is working on a quilt, challenge or Boutique item, to use for no charge. Knitting Group The Knitting group continues to meet on Thursdays each week from 5:00-8:00pm. If you like to knit, crochet this social group is the group to visit. Someone is usually available to assist those who need some assistance. Fee: $200 Needle Felting Group This group meets the second Thursday of each month from 5:00-8:00. This group is for those the felters who might need some assitance with a project or a felter who can offer some tips or share some ideas with fellow felters. Fee: $2.00

2 Quilt Camps Quilt Camps are scheduled each month on a Monday. The camps are made avaiable for those who like quilting with others or a special group. The cost is $10.00 per person and a dish to pass or $20.00 per person if the Stash Away privides meals. If you have a group that wants to meet at another Monday than the scheduled camp you can choose your own Monday, you must have 7-12 quilters for your own group. For further information call Lynn at Pilates Kathy Angelton teaches this class every Friday from 11:30am- 12:30pm. The group does stretching and balancing in a low impact setting. 8 week sessions, $25.00 per session. No special equipment needed. Open Sewing Open Sewing is open to anyone at anytime that there is not a scheduled class. The cost to use the classroom and equipment is $5.00 for the day. Check the calendar and stop by and sew, socialization, and complete that special project that you have wanted to complete. Watch for October's Calendar and classes September 15 th or sooner.
