Depending on how many blocks you are using in the hanging, fold strips in half wrong sides together and pin to the edges of the bottom of one block and the top of the next.

Cut strips 1 ½ wide on the bias or straight of chosen fabric for the finished edges. 4. Depending on how many blocks you are using in the hanging, fold strips in half wrong sides together and pin to the edges of the bottom of one block and the top of the next. Stitch with a ¼ seam until the finished size is desired. 5. Press seams open lightly on the back side, turn over and press down evenly on the front side. 6. Cut batting and fabric for backing the size of your finished block hanging, 7. Baste all together with the batting in the middle, wrong sides of fabric and blocks facing into the middle. 8. Sew the strips to the edges with ¼ seams. 9. The neatest finish is to place the strips on the front side, right sides together and fold over to the back and hand stitch down. 10. Or you may place the strips on the back side, right sides together and fold over to the front and top stitch down with sewing machine. 11. The illustrated hangings had a case sewn to the top side for a cardboard stiffening to be inserted, and cording was sewn on as shown. Or you may buy a bell pull hanger to insert into the case.
