This will allow time for admin and light check. Start Location: Freshwater, 7/2 Carlton St. Please assemble on the street nearby. Car parking is available in the surrounding streets. Allow time to find a spot. Please note that there is a daily charge for parking in the car park at Freshwater Beach. Finish Location: Freshwater Village, Albert/Lawrence St. Page 1

2 Lighting: The ride starts and finishes within daylight hours therefore audax lighting rules are not In effect. However, the prudent rider would not don their cloak of invisibility. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: I was considering making Andy s cafe a checkpoint when passing by in the morning, however, potential problems with opening times made this problematic. So, the first checkpoint, Cliftonville Lodge Cafe is at 96.5km. Places to get water between Andy s and the Cliftonville Lodge Cafe are few and far between, if there are any at all, so take this into consideration, particularly on a hot day. In other words, it might be a good idea to stop here on the way out and top up your bidons. Note that there are no food and water stops between Andy s Cafe and the Cliftonville Lodge Cafe. The ride organiser suggests filling up your bidons at Andy s cafe on the way out to Cliftonville. There are plenty of food options at the end in Freshwater Village. There are also showers at the beach should you wish to freshen up before dining. Entry Fees: Audax or Cycling Australia members $6 (please bring your membership card). Non-members $16 (includes a $10 temporary membership surcharge which is required for insurance purposes).
