There are a large number of engineering drawings in port design, it takes a lot of manpower and resources to manage and plot drawings, with the development of computer networks and related technologies and the use of network and database technology, the drawings designed by designers are sent to the server through the network for centralized management and plot, which can greatly improve the utilization of large-scale project plotter, and is significant to improve the drawings management level and standardization drawings and so on. Combining the needs of the port engineering design and production, we develop engineering drawing network plotting management system based on intelligent print queue management. Use the print queue which is independent of device to automatically control the drawing output. Ten years of use has proven a reasonable structure, flexible, adaptable characteristics, running through escalating perfect provides our institute information technology with a useful support, and lays a solid foundation. Introduction With popularization of computer technology and the development of computer network technology, design institute use computer software to draw the entire design drawings and production drawings has a corresponding electronic document. Commitments port design institute has professional multi (such as overall, hydraulic, process, civil engineering, port machinery, communications, etc. more than 30), a large number of drawings, design projects at the same time, so scientific management of the output print of engineering drawings improves design efficiency. Plotting drawing is an important part of the institute production design process. In this paper, In combination with needs of Zhongjiao First Harbor Engineering Investigation and Design Institute of Engineering production, engineering drawing network plotting management system based on intelligent print queue management. Use the print queue is developed. System network architecture Institute's computer network infrastructure and computer applications in the decades of reform and opening makes design and production process have earthshaking changes, From getting rid of the drawing board to the use of computer-aided design, an increase of tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands drawings every year is the unthinkable drawing amount of manual drawing era. System structure and main functions System structure Fig. 1 Main Function Modules Main functions The system is designed for the graphics manager, design objectives are: to facilitate control, management and statistics of the drawing management operation and automatically control graphics plotter to print out the drawings which came through the network by designers, the main function modules are as follows: 1) The system displaying management function Real-time display graphics job processing status (submitted, wait, pause, draw, complete, delete, demolition plans, etc) according to the sequence number of operation uploaded to the system,; Display case of drawing operations according to the job attribute (such as: all jobs, jobs ink figure, white figure job, color jobs). Display graphics cohort (plotter queue) operating: execution, pause, draw. 2)Drawing queue management The following functions are designed in the Plotter queue management (Fig. 2) (1)New Drawing Queue: notify system to add a drawing queue ( add a plotter to the system). (2)Delete drawing queue: notify system to delete a drawing queue. (3)Pause drawing queue: notify system to stop sending print jobs request to the plotter that is the suspension of the drawing. (4)Start drawing queues: notify system to activate the suspended queue and start processing operations and sending a print request to the corresponding plotter (5)Drawing queue properties (see Fig.3): Attributes include: the name of the connected plotter, plotters media types: white paper, sulfuric acid paper. White color chart types, ink figure, color. (6)Drawings queue details: record of each queue being drawn and conditions of operating had been drawn.

Modify job waiting state, in addition to jobs being in state of drawing, users pause the system for processing jobs, delete jobs, change job attributes (map sheets, graphs, proportion, lengthening factor, whether to human intervention, the project encoding a light-colored paint, etc.). 4)System Management Tools (1)Project code library management function (2)User Information Management:Users can use this system through empowerment. Administrator reserves the right to add or delete users, such as changing a user's department. (3)System parameters management function: You can set the default condition of system operation. For example the system is running which queue, and the initial startup parameters of job attributes. 5)Statistics Management The system can automatically count the quantity of drawings, through multi-dimensional combination of project coding, user personal user units, time, plot queues, graphs (Figure white ink figure, color) map sheet. And points automatically converted standard frame number of sheets. 6)Log Management For each job, systems process logs; user log; drawing queue log, because there are powerful log management system can provide multi-dimensional statistical information. System software development System architecture is C/S. Microsoft visual studio is a development tool. And MSsqlserver database is the database. Currently, the types of client have three: the client for designer, the client for drawing office manager, and the client for leadership to monitor and manage. This article describes the client system for drawing office manager. The system is not limited to the number of large projects plotter and the number of clients. The machine of client is an ordinary computer. Intelligent queue and plotters Due to the rapid development of computer technology, the input and output devices has also been led to update quickly. In ten years, the large plotter of the system using in project has changed from the pen plotter, thermal plotter to inkjet plotters constantly, the color of the picture from plotter has

4 692 Advances in Mechatronics and Control Engineering III changed from monochrome color, four-color, 16-color, 256 colors to true color, the number that roll paper plotters bring has came from one to many, the data line connector between the plotters and computers for interfacing has changed com port, parallel port, USB port to the network cable. However, because of our independent designing, our system and device have not been affected the by the changes mentioned above of these devices. Using the mother that the plotter is managed by drawing queue indirectly, the system is not limited to the number of printers connected to the system and the printer types (white, acid paper, photo paper, etc.) installed in the print media. The properties drawing queue can demand change. System Operation drawing queue attributes associated with plotter through variable parameters; one plotter may correspond to one or more drawing queues, drawing queues are also associated with the attributes of the work, the system associate through these attributes, automatically determining and the classified transmitting of the corresponding control commands make the drawing queens intelligent, according to the difference of graphs, map sheet, and color, the system will send the different work to the different plotter plot. Conclusions Drawings is the main product of institute, Plot management automation plays an important role in improving production efficiency. Based on the intelligent plot queue and device-independent design, the system uses the network and database technology, to solve the resource sharing and frequent replacement of equipment problems, while plays an important role IN improving the level of drawing management and standardization. In 2010,we completed function archive of automatic adding barcode, further it reduces the labor intensity of designers and file manager, which greatly improves work efficiency. From a long-term perspective, the of system will have a very important sense for establishment of design knowledge production and future development of our institute, which will bring immeasurable economy benefits.
