2 Place Value 100 square Everyone needs a counter Start on zero Roll a 1 move to the next even number Roll a 2 move to the next odd number Roll a 3 move to the next number with 2 tens Roll a 4 move to the next number with 3 tens Roll a 5 move to the next number with 2 units Roll a 6 move to the next number with 8 units The first to land on 100 is the winner but you must roll the correct number!
3 Number Bonds Number bonds are really important for all aged children. You need two counters, one for each person. Roll the dice, add quickly and place a counter on the answer. Who can cover the most answers?
4 Place Value Hoops Making Hundreds have 3 hoops Making tens have 2 hoops Have you guessed how many hoops you need if you are making a millions number? Your partner thinks of a number you have to throw the right amount of bean bags into each hoop to make that number. That means being accurate in your throwing too!
5 Place Value Riddle Cards Around the school there are question cards relating to your list of numbers. Try and find all the cards and solve the questions.
6 Number Problems Work in twos, take it in turns to be the asker and then the solver Make 6 six digit numbers. Read the numbers with your partner, make sure that you both are getting it right! Ask your partner to sort them from smallest to largest or largest to smallest Choose one of the numbers and ask for the number after / before / between Choose another of the numbers and ask your partner to read the number then point to one of the digits and ask for its value
7 Roll the Place Value Dice Roll the dice to make a number and then complete some of the number cards
