1 Dragn Fall Age f Sigmar Event Welcme t the first annual Age f Sigmar event at Dragn-Fall. We are very excited abut this year s narrative event and what it means t the new cmmunity frming arund the Age f Sigmar. The gal fr this year is t create an rganized, but relaxed, atmsphere where players can enjy a weekend f friendly gaming with friends. T this end, we want t encurage everyne that cmes t bring their casual lists and plan n enjying the birth f a new era in Warhammer. Basic Rules The mdels used in yur army MUST be WYSIWYG and have a minimum f 3-clrs (Black & White primers are nt cnsidered clrs fr this event). Dragn-Fall als cnsiders WYSIWYG t mean that a player must field an army apprpriate t the mdels being used. Nte: Any summned mdels MUST be fully painted and based t match yur army as per the nrmal rules. Turnament judge rulings are final and arguments r pr cnduct by players will nt be tlerated. Dragn-Fall reserves the right t remve players frm the event r the cnventin itself with n refunds allwed. The Dragn-Fall GT is a Full Disclsure turnament. Players must answer all questins and prvide relevant rulebks/infrmatin at their ppnent s request. Army Cmpsitin Rules All players must bring an army that cnfrms t the fllwing limitatins: All armies are limited t 70 wunds The fllwing Keywrd restrictins are in place fr the event: All Warscrlls must have the same Grand Alliance keywrd (Order, Chas, etc ) - mdels with the keywrd Her N duplicate mdels with the Her keywrd 0- mdels with the keywrd Mnster 0- mdels with the keywrd War Machine 0- mdels with the keywrd Wizard 0- mdels with the keywrd Priest Warscrll Battalins may nt be used in the event Warscrlls must be released n r befre 09/8/05 Gameplay Rules General Rules Mdificatins Dice rlls A rll f a is always cnsidered a failure Saves cannt be imprved past + by any means Special rules cannt be used t create a result that cannt ccur natural (i.e. rll a 3 n d6) Measuring & Base Size All measuring is t be dne frm the base f the mdel and nt the actual mdel At n pint during a game, may bases verlap fr any reasn Age f Sigmar Event P a g e

2 All mdels shuld be n the base that riginally came with it r n ne that is reasnably the same size as the riginal base. (Example: A GW skeletn mdel can be munted n a 0 mm square base r a 0/5 mm rund.) Mystic Shield Mystic Shield cannt be stacked. Summning Only warscrlls included in a player s army may be summned t the battlefield. Only a single warscrll can be successfully summned each battle rund. A warscrll that has been summned may nt attempt t summn during the same battle rund. Keywrds accunt fr things like "DEATH WIZARDS" if the mdel cntains the Keywrds "Death" & "Wizard". Fr example, fr Epidemius' tally "Nurgle mdels" refers t mdels with the "NURGLE" keywrd. Games Frmat The Dragn-Fall Age f Sigmar Event will cnsist f 3 games with the fllwing time restrictins. All games will last n lnger than hurs. At the hur mark, dice dwn will be called and enfrced. All games will play n mre than six battle runds. After six turns, the game is ver regardless f actual time remaining n the clck. All games will be played n a 4 x 6 table with apprximately ne piece f terrain per x area f the table. When setting up during a game, a player may deply up t 50 wunds frm his army. This is knwn as a player s Deplyed Frce. (credit t Hlywars.cm fr the rule) Each rund f the event will use the fllwing rules fr determining the utcme f each game: Grand Alliances: At the start f each turnament rund, each Grand Alliance will be given a gal that is unique t their alliance. During each game, players will attempt t cmplete their alliance s gal in an effrt t help them achieve victry at the end f the event. Spils f War: As part f each scenari, there will be a Spils f War table that will be used t earn battle pints. At the start f each player s first turn, rll a d6 and cmpare the result with the Spils f War table n the scenari (See example belw). At the end f that player s turn, check t see if they have achieved the bjective. If the answer is YES, the player earns the number f battle pints specified in the scenari. After scring the bjective, the player must rll fr a new Spils f War (re-rll if it is the same bjective frm that turn). The new bjective cannt be achieved until the end f that player s next turn. If the answer is NO, the player must declare if they are keeping the same bjective r rlling fr a new ne. In either case, the player cannt achieve the bjective until the end f their next turn. 3 Narrative Rules: As part f registratin, each player must declare which Grand Alliance they will be playing as fr the event. The event is brken int three chapters, each chapter is cnsidered a turnament rund fr the purpses f pairings and such. Pairing fr each chapter will based n Grand Alliances (see belw) and prir results. Chapter One Tw Three Grand Alliances Chas vs Destructin; Death vs Order Chas vs Death; Destructin vs Order Chas vs Order; Death vs Destructin Sprtsmanship Scring Dragn-Fall will use a basic sprtsmanship scring system that will factr int each player s verall scre and be used t determine the Sprtsmanship Award. At the end f each game, yur ppnent will rate yur Sprtsmanship using the guidelines prvided belw. Each yes is wrth pint twards a player s sprtsmanship scre and will factr int their verall scre fr the turnament.. Was yur ppnent prmpt t reprt fr the start f the rund, and did yur ppnent share their army list with yu befre the game? YES/NO. Did yur ppnent cme prepared t play and bring all required items t play (dice, templates, rulers, rulebks, army bks, tactical bjective cards, pens, etc.) YES/NO 3. Were rules issues that may have arisen during the game handled amicably by yur ppnent? YES/NO 4. Wuld yu cnsider yur ppnent s army list t be in the spirit f Dragn-Fall (i.e. casual, friendly, etc )? YES/NO 5. Wuld yu vluntarily play this persn again? 4 Dragn-Fall Appearance Screcard: The Dragn-Fall Age f Sigmar event will use the fllwing appearance rubric t scre each army during the event. (X) Basic Appearance Scring All mdels in the army (including thse that can be summned) meet the minimum f three different clrs (primer black/white d nt cunt). (Nte: Any army fund t nt meet this requirement will be disqualified frm the event.) All mdels in the army meet the minimum basing requirements (either painted bases r flcked). 5 At a minimum, the army cntains ne nticeable cnversin. 5 The army meets the minimum requirements fr being cnsidered prperly displayed fr 5 appearance scring. The minimum requirements are: All mdels being used must be n display The name f the player using the army must visibly be with the army (If we have t ask wh the wner f an army is, the army is nt cnsidered t be prperly displayed.) All mdels must be displayed n sme type f display bard that has had sme degree f custmizatin (n unpainted plastic lids r mdels just sitting n the table) Advance Paint Scring All mdels in the army have been painted t a standard abve the minimum requirement fr the 4 turnament (highlighting, washes, drybrushing, etc ). All mdels in the army have been painted t an advanced level (layering f highlights, blending, 3 etc ). The army cntains bvius examples f freehand wrk, weathering, and/r fine details (painted eyes, gems, etc ). Overall, the whle army is painted t a standard well abve ther armies in attendance at the event. (Judge s discretin) Advance Basing Scring The basing n all mdels in the army is cnsistent r apprpriate t the verall display. The basing was cmpleted t a standard that is abve the minimum requirement fr the turnament (multiple flcks, painted edges, etc ) The basing was dirama-like with a high attentin t detail. (Judge s discretin) Advance Cnversin Scring The army cntains multiple nticeable cnversins (5% r mre f the army). 3 The army cntains at least ne nticeable cnversin that requires advance technique (sculpting, cmplex drilling/sawing, etc ) Overall, the whle army demnstrates cnversin wrk that is well abve the ther armies in attendance at the event. The display cntains advance techniques (LEDs, cmplex terrain elements, Overall, the army is displayed t a standard well abve the ther armies in attendance at the event. 5 Awards: The main fcus f the narrative event is fr each player t help their Grand Alliance achieve victry while having a gd time ding it. Grand Alliance: The Grand Alliance that is mst successful at achieving their alliance s gal. Her f the Alliance: The player frm the winning alliance with the highest sprtsmanship scre. Tiebreakers: st Appearance Pints, nd Battle Pints. The fllwing individual awards will be given ut at this year s event: Best Overall: The player with the highest cmbined pint ttal. Tiebreakers: st Sprtsmanship Pints, nd Appearance Pints, 3 rd Battle Pints. Best Appearance: The army with the highest judged Appearance scre. Tiebreakers: Judges decisin.
