Hwever t increase Bible knwledge and Christian fellwship we will meet 2 additinal times thrughut the year. The pre-test lectures will cver the meaning and message f the bks, review difficult passages, and answering alleged false teaching frm the bk. In additin t the gd Bible study, we will eat and visit afterward. There is n registratin required fr lectures but please let us knw an apprximate number that will be attending fr planning purpses. 4 VIDOR BIBLE SEARCH 2016 GENERAL INFORMATION Page 4 The mst imprtant key t starting and participating in Bible Search is the selectin f an adult(s) wh will take charge and crdinate the yuth f yur cngregatin fr this event. Once a persn(s) is chsen, the crdinatr will need t d the fllwing: Carefully read the enclsed material t learn the rules and structure f the Bible Search Prgram. Prmte the Bible Search prgram by encuraging the yuth t participate. Meet with the yuth a minimum f nce per week t help prepare them fr the exams. Supply parents with a cpy f the rules and guidelines. Accmpany the yuth t the Vidr Church f Christ in Vidr, Texas fr the final exam. Encurage the yuth t attend the preceding yuth lectures. Exam questins and answers will be based n the New King James (NKJV) translatin, but there shuld be n disadvantage using the KJV. Memry verses will als be based n the NKJV. We will als prepare a test based n the KJV if given 45 days ntice befre the test date. Final Exam: The exam will be cnsistent with the practice test placed n ur website. Schedule: Bible Search final exam day will begin at 10:00 a.m. Structure And Rules: Due t the needed preparatin time t set up the test and testing facility we request that all participants are registered by February 15 th, Remember the verall bjective is t study and grw in Gd s wrd. When ur yuth study the Bible, all f us are "winners"! This prgram is nt abut wh is "first". Wrk n teaching the yuth t help their fellw peers t grw in knwledge and t rejice with thse wh rejice. Thus thse wh d nt d well n the exam are nt t be made t feel "unspiritual" r less intelligent. Further we must als nt make thers that chse nt t participate in Bible Search feel unspiritual. We must acknwledge the effective wrk f existing prgrams in the hme and the cngregatin. Any child f kindergarten age thrugh high schl is allwed t participate. Teachers are free t use any methd f teaching they chse in preparing students fr the tests. Hwever we want t encurage cmprehensive learning that fcuses n the text and nt just the memrizing f answers. In rder fr the examinatins t fair t all students anyne with access t the tests befre the testing perid must nt discuss r reveal the cntents f the tests t students r their teachers. The divisins are as fllws: Kindergarten 2nd grade 3rd 5th grade 6th 8th grade 9th 12th grade All students will receive a ribbn f participatin regardless f their scre. Time alltments fr each test will be as fllws: Objective Testing: 40 minutes Memry Testing: 30 minutes Mre time can be alltted based n advance request. Objective Test Administratin: Age Divisins Kindergarten thrugh 2 nd grade Bth the questins and answer chices will be read alud by the test administratr. Each student will have a cpy f the exam and ptential answers (A, B r C) with each chice clearly labeled fr every questin. Students will chse their wn answer by circling their chice. Time restraints fr each questin will be bserved. 3rd thrugh 12th grade Testing Methd Students will take the exam n their wn; the test questins WILL NOT be read alud. The test will be timed. Respnses will be recrded n a scan-trn sheet t expedite grading. Multiple Chice Matching Scripture Memry Test Administratin

Given the difficulty f accurately and cnsistently assessing an ral memry exam, it was decided that this wuld be eliminated fr K-2 nd. Hwever, we encurage yu t reward this age grup with yur wn testing prcedure at yur hme cngregatins. We will include 2 nd graders wh desire t take the 3-5 exam. Secnd-graders will need t be held t the same standards as grades 3-5 fr legibility and accuracy. 6th thrugh 8th grade 9th thrugh 12th grade Registratin Grading Participants MUST register fr this exam. The Scripture Memry prtin will be administered, graded, and awarded separately frm the individual exam. Memry verses will be based n the NKJV, hwever we will als prepare a test based n the KJV if given 45 days ntice befre the test date. If KJV was requested 45 days ntice befre the test date specify at registratin fr KJV, because the NKJV will be default. Pints will be deducted fr misspelled, misplaced, r incmplete wrds. This may appear t be harsh r extreme but in rder t be bjective, cnsistent, and fair we must adhere t a rigid standard. Nte: credit is given fr misspelled wrds just nt full credit. Test Example Gen _:1 In the the and the. General Cmments When we sing praises t Gd we will sing as cmmanded in Cl 3:16 and Eph 5:19, we will nt add clapping r ther additins nt authrized in the wrd f Gd. Please ensure that all attendees dress in a manner apprpriate fr Christian values. Objective questins are nt in any particular rder. Each questin is independent f any ther questin. In all cases, WORD DEFINITION n the part f the administratr will NOT be allwed. Fr each exam, students will be prvided with pencils (extras available) and a cpy f the test (ne cpy fr each student). They will als be given a desk and place t write. This shuld g withut saying, but it is imprtant t emphasize that under n circumstances will cheating f any kind be tlerated.

Please make certain that all parents f participating students are furnished with a set f guidelines. Please encurage them t read the rules. We want the parents t be aware f the testing prcedures PRIOR t their children s participatin.
