1 Design Technology from now on will be integrated to focus on Product Design, where all the streams of DT (resistant materials, graphics, electronics, textiles) are embedded together. So you will be expected to be able to work across all streams in a given project. In Year 7 you will be working on improving your design skills either as mini tasks or projects.

8 A font is a particular size, weight and style of a typeface. Script typefaces are based upon the varied and often fluid stroke created by handwriting. Step 3: Pinning Step 1: Creating your template Draw your desired shape onto paper with a pencil. Cut out using paper scissors. Remove the paper template from your appliqué fabric. Pin the appliqué fabric on to your background fabric. How to Applique Step 2: Cutting out your appliqué Pin your paper template to your appliqué fabric and cut out using fabric shears. Step 4: Stitching Using hand embroidery stitch around the edge to attach the two pieces of fabric together. TIP: Stitch on slow speed to ensure you have more control of your fabric.
