The competitive nature of the automotive industry is compelling automotive manufacturers to look inside the car. Therefore, modern car seats evolve into complex high-tech devices with all-round features. They need to be custom-made, individually and exclusively designed, but also have to meet ecological and economical requirements. Safety, comfort and reliability must go hand in hand with lightweight design as well as cost reduction. Car seats contribute decisively to comfort and safety of current vehicles. Being the largest human-machine interface in a vehicle, they make driving and even getting transported possible in the first place. They determine the design of car interiors extensively, and are a crucial contribution to perceived quality of vehicles. That is why development and production of seats are influenced by numerous, often conflicting requirements and restrictions. The engineering level of car seats is continuously extended and perfected and innovation is progressing rapidly. Design and realization of automotive seats are therefore facing major challenges. They require specialists whose competencies must cover in-detail expertise as well as human-centered and holistic thinking. In this 15th edition of the International CTI Forum Automotive Seating, we keep up in exploring and highlighting cutting-edge topics. Once your registration has been received you will be sent a confirmation slip. Registrations can be cancelled (in writing please) free of charge up to 14 days before the event. When a cancellation is made within 14 days of the conference date, half the participation fee will be reimbursed. In the event of cancellation on the day of the conference, or failure to attend, the full fee will be payable. The registered delegate may of course send a substitute at no additional cost.
