1 LIQUIDS AND GAS FLOW REGULATORS Proportioatig Electromagetic Valves are desiged to respod to variable power iputs to proportioately regulate the flow of liquids ad gases. Proportioatig Electromagetic Valve For added safety valves are ormally closed (NC) whe de-eergized. They ca also serve as ON-OFF valves. For cotrol fuctios see the -D Driver Module. Flow is cotrolled by icreasig or decreasig the voltage applied to the coil. 4 BULLETIN EM D PULSE WIDTH MODULATED DRIVER MODULES D -D Pulse width modulated -D Driver Modules regulate the power supplied to Regulatig valves based o a referece sigal. Set-poit sigals, 0-5 Vdc or 4-20 ma, iput are employed to cotrol the output pulse width modulated voltage at a fixed frequecy ( 30KHz) ad amplitude. Icomig power to the valve coil is applied ad discotiued for predetermied periods of time by a low loss solid state switchig elemet. As icomig power is applied, eergy i the iductive coils icreases ad whe it is discotiued eergy stored i the coil maitais the magetic flux level required to hold flow at the cotrolled rate. This cycle takes place may thousads of times per secod. The wide rage of power iput features coveietly accommodates 12 to 32 Vdc sources.
