1 Electroic motor protectio relay Type CET 5 - overview CET 5 - A motor protectio system The CET 5 provides umatched capabilities for the protectio, moitorig ad cotrol of idustrial motors. Suitable for all ratigs ad voltages, ew features expad the capabilities to lie voltage moitorig, power moitorig fuctios ad exteded RTD fuctios. CET 5-D-40V Expadable fuctioality Pluggable optio cards ad additioal modules allow future expasio to be accommodated withi the mai uit. Additioal I/O capacity, commuicatio cards (etwork cotrol ad moitorig) ad voltage iput cards ca easily be added to provide features matched to the applicatio requiremets. Networkable techology CET 5 optio cards Plug-i commuicatio cards ad I/O capability allow the CET 5 to become part of a etworked cotrol system. Both DeviceNet ad Modbus are catered for, while up to 5 iputs ad 7 outputs ca be cofigured for warig, trippig ad cotrol. A 4-0 ma aalogue output ca be cofigured to sigal a actual value icludig load curret, thermal capacity, RTD temperature, motor power or power factor. 1 chael RTD scaer The CR1D-5 RTD scaer optio coects to the CET 5 basic uit usig a sigle, oise immue fibre optic cable (up to 500 metres distace). The RTD scaer ca be mouted close to the protected motor allowig shorter sesor cable to be used. CR1D-5 RTD scaer Differet types of sesors ca be used icludig platium, ickel or copper RTDs. Set poits for warig ad trip ca be programmed. Use of existig curret coverter modules The CET 5 curret measuremet uses the coverter modules CWE 4 (for the previous versio CET 4) which makes retrofit easier. The CET 5 is also perfectly desiged to protect both medium ad low voltage motors. Iterposig curret trasformers ca be 1 A or 5 A secodary. The optio for core balace CT gives sesitive earth fault protectio.
