Access Pint Why am I lsing pwer t the access pint? Yur cigarette lighter adapter may nt be securely cnnected t the access pint. Verify that the pins n the cigarette lighter adapter are set crrectly. Hw d I hard wire the access pint pwer cnverter t the pwer surce? NOTE: These instructins are fr access pints with part number WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK: Verify that the tractr and pwer cnverter are cmpletely pwered ff befre cmpleting these steps. Intelligent Ag is nt respnsible fr any damage that results frm mdifying WBFM cmpnents. 1. Cut the pwer cnverter s pwer crd immediately befre the cigarette lighter adapter and discard the adapter. 2. Separate the tw wires and strip abut ½ inch f the wire. 3. Cnnect the pwer cnverter wires t a pwer surce the wire with white text n it is psitive, and the wire withut text is negative. Yu may crimp r slder the wires, depending n yur preference. 4. Pwer n the pwer cnverter. Shuld I use the access pint if I have a Gateway 300? N, the access pint and gateway cannt be used tgether. Turn ff the access pint when using the gateway Page 5 f 15

6 Des the ECU s rientatin matter? ECU Intelligent Ag recmmends installing the ECUs facing frward/tward the cab f the tractr s that the LED is visible, allwing fr ptimal cmmunicatin with the access pint. If this isn t pssible, ECUs can face any directin r be munted hrizntally. In certain setups, munting t the frame is ptimal. Ensure that yur munting lcatin allws the auditry hses t reach the ECU. Why dn t I see an ECU during cnfiguratin? 1. Verify that yu are cnnected t the IASBlckage Wi-Fi netwrk in the ipad s Settings menu. NOTE: If yu are using tw tractrs in the same field with separate sets f ECUs, cnnect the ECUs named WBFM2 t the IASNetwrk2 netwrk. 2. Check fr app updates in the App Stre. Yu must be cnnected t a hme Wi-Fi netwrk (nt the IASBlckage r IASNetwrk2 netwrk). If an update is available, dwnlad it. 3. Verify that yu have pwer t yur ECUs and that the red LED is blinking abut nce per secnd. 4. Verify that yur access pint has pwer and that all LEDS except LAN r LAN1 are n. 5. Check fr pssible Wi-Fi interference. a. Discnnect any f the fllwing devices: wireless camera (discnnect bth the cab display and camera n implement), Wi-Fi bster/relay statin, r 2 way radi. b. G t a quiet lcatin: If yu re in the farm yard, drive ut t a field away frm the yard s electrical interference. c. Shut ff all ther electrnics except fr yur blckage and flw mnitr cmpnents. There is pwer t the ECU, but the ECU isn t functining. If the Pwer LED is n: Slw blinking LED (abut ne blink every 3 secnds) 1. Verify that the ipad is cnnected t the IASBlckage r IASNetwrk2 Wi-Fi netwrk. 2. Discnnect and recnnect pwer t the ECUs. 3. Restart the app. a. Duble-click the ipad s Hme buttn. b. Swipe right until yu have lcated the Intelligent Ag app. c. Swipe up n the app s preview t clse it. d. Press the hme buttn t return back t yur hme screen. Re-pen the app. 4. Uninstall and reinstall the ipad app Page 6 f 15

7 Fast blinking LED (multiple blinks per secnd) 1. A firmware update culd be in prgress. If the app says Firmware update in prgress, wait fr the update t cmplete. 2. A firmware update did nt install crrectly. a. Cmpletely clse the WBFM app. i. Duble-click the Hme buttn. ii. Swipe right until yu have lcated the Intelligent Ag app. iii. Swipe up n the app s preview t clse it. iv. Press the hme buttn t return back t yur hme screen. b. Discnnect pwer t the ECU. c. Re-pen the app. d. Re-cnnect pwer t the ECU. Slid red LED 1. Discnnect and recnnect the ECU harness frm the intermediary harness. Make sure that the cnnectin is secure and that there is n dirt impeding it. 2. Plug the ECU int a different harness. It may be an issue with the Wi-Fi mdule. If the Pwer LED is ff: Ensure there is pwer t the harness leading up t the ECU. Why is there a Wi-Fi symbl ver an ECU in the app? Yu have lst cnnectin t that ECU. 1. Check fr pssible Wi-Fi interference. a. Discnnect any f the fllwing devices: wireless camera (discnnect bth the cab display and camera n implement), Wi-Fi bster/relay statin, r 2 way radi. b. G t a quiet lcatin: If yu re in the farm yard, drive ut t a field away frm the yard s electrical interference. c. Shut ff all ther electrnics except fr yur blckage and flw mnitr. 2. Ensure that the ECU Pwer LED is illuminated. If it isn t: a. Ensure that the ECU is plugged in t tractr pwer. If it is n key pwer, the key has t be n. b. Ensure that the cnnectrs are crrectly cnnected n the 3 way splitter. The grey cnnectr shuld g int the grey end f the splitter and the black cnnectr shuld g int the black end f the splitter Page 7 f 15

8 c. Ensure that the cnnectrs are nt damaged and that the leads are prperly seated. d. Check if any wiring has been pinched r cut by flding the implement wings. This may be the prblem if the system was wrking befre mving t anther field. e. Cnnect the ECU wiring harness t a different ECU and see if it pwers n. f. Use a multimeter t verify that the ECU pwer is 9 t 14 vlts. 3. Mve the access pint in the cab r n the implement s that it has a direct line f sight t the ECU. 4. Hard wire the access pint t the pwer surce. Refer t the infrmatin in Hw d I hard wire the access pint pwer cnverter t the pwer surce? Page 8 f 15

9 Flw Why can t I see mass flw r individual flw levels? 1. Restart the app. a. Duble-click the Hme buttn. b. Swipe right until yu have lcated the Intelligent Ag app. c. Swipe up n the app s preview t clse it. d. Press the Hme buttn t return back t yur hme screen. e. Re-pen the app. 2. Check fr app updates in the App Stre. Yu must be cnnected t a hme Wi Fi netwrk (nt the IASBlckage r IASNetwrk2 netwrk). If an update is available, dwnlad it. 3. Ensure that yur ipad has the specificatins belw. App ipad mdel Sftware versin Intelligent Ag ipad 2 r newer ios 9 r later Intelligent Ag Pr ipad 3 r newer ios 10 r later Why am I experiencing a lt f variance in the flw level f the maniflds? Manifld flw variances f up t 10% are cmmn. On large implements, uter maniflds may cnsistently vary by mre than 10%. Verify that primary runs are clear f bstructins. Remve manifld caps and run yur fan t clear any debris. Check fr bstructins at the cart s meter rll. Check fr bstructins at the bttm f the bin. What d I d if the mass flw number is abnrmal? If there has been a recent change in rate, fan speed, r prduct, a different mass flw number is nrmal. If there hasn t, try the fllwing steps. 1. Verify that there is prduct left in yur bins. Flw will be reduced if a bin runs empty. 2. See if there is prduct bridging ver the metering rll. 3. Verify that bin lids are securely latched. 4. Verify that all primary hses are securely attached. Why are there n audible alarms when a blcked run is displayed? 1. Verify that the ipad is nt muted with the side switch r that the vlume is nt turned all the way dwn Page 9 f 15

10 2. Verify that the ipad side switch cntrls vlume. a. Tap Settings n the ipad s hme screen. b. Tap General in the left menu. c. Under Use Side Switch T, select Mute. 3. Verify that audible alarms are enabled in the app s settings. 4. Verify that the flw alarm threshlds in the app s settings aren t set t high. 5. If yu are dual shting, ensure that the app is cnfigured fr tw prducts. Intelligent Ag app: a. Tap Cnfigure. b. Tap Cnfigure. c. Tap n a Primary r Sectin number and select the crrect prduct type. Fr example, seed culd be Prduct A and fertilizer culd be Prduct B. Intelligent Ag Pr app: a. Tap Settings n the left navigatin pane. b. Tap Blckage n the tp navigatin pane. c. Tap Edit ECUs Cnfiguratin. d. Tap n a Primary r Sectin number and verify that the crrect prduct type is selected. Fr example, seed culd be Prduct A and fertilizer culd be Prduct B. 6. Lift and lwer the implement and verify that the wrk switch indicatr in the app changes. 7. Restart the app. a. Duble-click the Hme buttn. b. Swipe right until yu have lcated the Intelligent Ag app. c. Swipe up n the app s preview t clse it. d. Press the Hme buttn t return back t yur hme screen. e. Re-pen the app. Hw d I save which runs are blcked? Take a screensht (press the ipad s tp buttn and Hme buttn at the same time) f either f the screens belw. The screensht will be stred in yur ipad s phts. Take a screensht f the blckage screen (befre shutting ff prduct flw). Tap the Histry buttn and take a screensht f the list f blcked runs Page 10 f 15

11 Sensrs Hw d I install my 90 degree sensrs if I dn t have enugh space fr the seed hses t pint straight dwn? If the seed hse cnnected t the sensr des nt have enugh space t pint dwnward, turn the sensrs s that the hses are parallel t the grund. The sensrs can be munted at any angle between 90 degrees and 270 degrees. Ensure that the hses are nt installed at an incline. Why is the app shwing false blckages? 1. D a crank test t ensure that prduct flws frm each pener. 2. On air seeders, ensure that yu can feel air flw beneath the pener. 3. Ensure that the flw rate is set crrectly in the app s settings page. Cnfigure light prducts, such as canla, flax, alfalfa, and grass, as lw prduct flw. Cnfigure very lw rate prducts such as sunflwers as very lw prduct flw. 4. Verify that ECU prts are enabled and crrectly mapped in the app. Intelligent Ag app: a. Tap Cnfigure. b. Tap Cnfigure. c. Tap n a Primary r Sectin number and verify that the cnfiguratin is crrect. Intelligent Ag Pr app: a. Tap Settings n the left navigatin pane. b. Tap Blckage n the tp navigatin pane. c. Tap Edit ECUs Cnfiguratin. d. Tap n a Primary r Sectin number and tap Prt Mapping. Verify that the cnfiguratin is crrect. 5. Verify that each primary r sectin has the crrect ECU serial number assigned t it. Refer t the instructins abve t access the cnfiguratin page Page 11 f 15

12 6. Verify that yu are checking the right hse. Befre shutting ff prduct flw, take a screensht f the blckage screen (press the ipad s tp buttn and Hme buttn at the same time). The screensht will be stred in yur ipad s phts. 7. Verify that the auditry hse is nt kinked r pinched. 8. Verify that the auditry hse is attached t the crrect ECU prt. 9. Verify that the auditry hse is securely attached t the ECU by pushing the hse nt the ECU prt. 10. Mve the auditry hse t a new prt n the ECU t assess if the prblem is a prt n the ECU nt functining crrectly. Ensure that yu re-assign that run t the new ECU prt in the app (Refer t Step 4 n the previus page fr instructins). 11. If inline sensrs are installed, verify that they are nt installed backwards r upside dwn. The arrw n the sensr shuld pint dwnward. 12. Check if the sensr is clgged. 13. Discnnect the seed hse t check fr buildup n the sensr membrane Page 12 f 15

13 Wiring What is the best methd fr installing the harnesses? Befre cnnecting any harnessing, lay the harnesses n the grund and map ut hw they will be cnnected. When yu start the installatin, start with the ECU harnessing and wrk yur way back t the hitch f the tractr. Refer t the wiring diagrams in the appendix f yur installatin manual. Hw d I use the three way splitter? Match the harness clr t the splitter clr. The grey harness cnnectr shuld plug int the grey cnnectr f the splitter and the black harness cnnectr shuld plug int the black end f the splitter. D I have t run pwer int the cab f the tractr? N, yu can als wire the tractr harness t a 12 vlt battery n the implement r wire it int the 7 pin implement cnnectr. Each ECU draws 110mA Page 13 f 15

14 Wrk Switch Why isn t my wrk switch functining? 1. If the wrk switch indicatr is shwing that it s disengaged while the implement is in the grund and engaged while it is ut f the grund, verify that yur wrk switch cnfiguratin is crrect. Intelligent Ag app: a. Tap Cnfigure. b. Tap Cnfigure. c. Ensure that the Is the wrk switch reversed? setting is crrect based n yur wrk switch methd. Intelligent Ag Pr app: a. Tap Settings n the left navigatin pane. b. Tap Equipment Inf n the tp navigatin pane. c. Ensure that the Wrk Switch Inverted setting is crrect based n yur wrk switch methd. 2. Make sure the wrk switch ECU is cnnected (a Wi-Fi symbl will display ver the ECU n the app if it is discnnected). 3. Ensure that yur ECU serial numbers are set up in the crrect rder. Fr example, yu might have set up the ECUs n the maniflds frm left t right (frm the perspective f standing behind the tractr), but entered them in the app frm right t left. The illustratin belw shws a left t right setup. Intelligent Ag app: a. Tap Cnfigure. b. Tap Cnfigure. c. Tap a primary r sectin number and verify that the ECU serial number is crrect. Intelligent Ag Pr app: a. Tap Settings n the left navigatin pane. b. Tap Blckage n the tp navigatin pane. c. Tap Edit ECUs Cnfiguratin. d. Verify that the ECU serial number belw the manifld number is crrect. 4. Verify that the wrk switch ECU s Pwer LED is illuminated and flashing Page 14 f 15

15 5. Verify that the crrect ECU serial number is selected as the wrk switch ECU in the app. 6. If yu re using the magnetic wrk switch, verify that the wrk switch is installed an apprpriate distance frm the magnet. The magnet can activate the wrk switch up t 4 inches away. 7. Try t cnnect the wrk switch harness t anther ECU Page 15 f 15
