2 When assembling and using this product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to the equipment. Please read all the instructions prior to assembly and use. Some parts may contain sharp edges. Wear protective gloves if necessary. At least four or more people are recommended for a safe assembly. Keep all children and pets away from assembly area. Begin assembly no less than 6 feet (1.8 m) from any obstruction such as a fence, garage, house, overhanging branches, laundry lines or electrical wires. Install on level ground. The pergola cannot be permanently staked or attached to concrete floors or platforms. The pergola is intended for decorative and sunshade purposes only and is not meant to withstand inclement weather, including high winds, rain and snow. The pergola's canopy is water-resistant, not waterproof, and may leak during exposure to precipitation. Check all nuts and bolts for tightness before and during use. Keep all flame and heat sources away from the pergola's material. The pergola's fabric meets cpai-84 specifications for flame resistance, but is not fireproof. The fabric will burn if left in continuous contact with any flame source. The application of any foreign substance to the pergola's fabric may render the flame-resistant properties ineffective.

4 Assembly: STEP 1: Insert pillars F and G into foot base I, line up the bolt holes and screw bolt N tightly. STEP 2: Line up the bolt holes on rope support H and pillar G and screw bolt Q tightly. STEP 3: Join front cross tube D to the T-troughs on pillars F and G and screw bolt L tightly. STEP 4: Join back cross tube E to the T-trough on the upper end of pillar F and screw bolt L tightly. STEP 5: Insert the beveled end of mid pole A into the center square-trough of front cross tube D. STEP 6: Line up the bolt holes and screw bolt O tightly. STEP 7: Insert the opposite end of mid pole A into the square-trough of back cross tube E, line up the bolt holes and screw bolt O tightly. STEP 8: Join the beveled end of side pole C to front cross tube D, line up the bolt holes and screw bolt M tightly.
5 STEP 9: Join the opposite end of side pole C to back cross tube E, line up the bolt holes and screw bolt M tightly. STEP 10: Join the beveled end of pole B to front cross tube D, line up the bolt holes and screw bolt M tightly. STEP 11: Join the opposite end of pole B to back cross tube E, line up the bolt holes and screw bolt M tightly. STEP 12: Push the idler pulleys of mid pole A and side pole C toward back cross tube E. STEP 13: Spread the pergola's fabric J as shown. STEP 14: Slide the round tubes of the canopy fabric J through mid pole A's pulley-eyes. Connect the narrow end of each tube to the next. Repeat six (6) more times.
6 STEP 15: STEP 16: Line up the round tubes and canopy fabric J to the Move cover fabric K to the rear of the pergola, line up pulley-eyes of side pole C and screw bolt P tightly. all the bolt-eyes and screw bolt O tightly. STEP 17: STEP 18: Pull canopy fabric J as shown. With canopy fabric J properly extended, tie the rope to rope support H.
