This also makes the tracks easily removable if need. For installation with Bed Mat see page 6. StorageMax Primary Position StorageMax Secondary Position

2 Note: Put Rust Inhibitor or Primer on any holes drilled to help prevent rust. 1. Line up the 48 Tracks so the outside of the tracks are 50 apart. Note: On Ford F150 you will only be able to space the 48" tracks 49 1/2" apart, up against the wheel wells. 2. Now line up the edge of the tracks 6 from the back of the bed. 3. Notice the 5 pre-drilled holes in the tracks - drill a 1/8 pilot hole in each location for the Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws. Also, depending on the vehicle, use the supplied track shims to level the bottom of the track due to the ribs on the bottom of the bed.

3 4. Using the Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws and a Screw Driver, screw down the 48 Tracks. 5. Take the 2 24 Tracks and line them up at the back of the 48 Tracks so they are facing the same direction, and are also 50 apart on the outside. Note: vehicles with shorter beds like the Crew Cab Trucks may need to shorten the 24 tracks, and require new holes to be drilled into the tracks to secure them properly. 6. Take the 3 pre-drilled holes in the 24 tracks and drill a 1/8 pilot hole in each location for the Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws. 7. Using the Pan Head Sheet Metal Screws and a Screw Driver, screw down the 24 Tracks. 8. This step is specific to the follow Vehicles: Ford F150 / Dodge Ram On the back side of the Driver Side, Side Box measure 3 (2 for 8ft bed) in from the left side of the Side Box and mark. Then measure 3 (2 for 8ft bed) up from the bottom of the Side Box and mark. Now drill a 1/8 pilot hole in this location. Repeat this step for the Passenger Side, Side Box. Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra / Ford F250/F350 Lay the Drivers Side, Side Box on its side, so the back section that sits against the bed is down. Now on the bottom section of the Driver Side, Side Box that rest over the wheel well, measure 3 (1 ½ for 8ft bed) in from the right side of the Side Box and mark. Then measure 3 down from the top of the Side Box and mark. Now drill a 1/ 8 pilot hole in this location. Repeat this step for the Passenger Side, Side Box.

4 9. Now set the Side Boxes on the outside of the tracks, up against the inside of the truck bed. Then line the edge of the boxes a ¼ past the edge of the tracks toward the tailgate. 10.Once the side boxes are in place and lined up you will see 2 pre-drilled holes in the side of the tracks by the side box. Drill a 13/64 hole in each of the locations. 11.Using the ½ #10-24 Flat Head Machine Screw, #10 Lock Washer and #10-24 Nut, attach the track to the Side Box. 12.Now using the pilot holes that were drilled into each Side Box as a guide. Mark the bed and drill a 1/8 pilot hole in the bed of the truck. Be very careful when drilling this pilot hole to not go through the outside of the bed. 13.Line up the Side Boxes so the spacing between both Side Boxes is 47 1/8. This measurement needs to be between the Side Boxes where the slide bolt exits the Side Box. (THIS SPACING IS VERY IMPORTANT) 14.Once the Side Boxes are lined up with correct spacing, they need to be attached to the bed of the truck using ¾ or ½ Pan Head Sheet Metal Screw (Screw size will depend on how many shims are used). Depending on the vehicle shims may be need to keep the correct spacing. Use the included shims as needed. (Note: Use double-sided tape to help keep the shims in place) 15.Now slide the Drawer onto the tracks and place the Drawer Deck on top of the Drawer.

5 16.Line up the back of the Drawer Deck with the back of the Side Boxes so you can extend the slide bolts out of the Side Boxes into the bracket on the Drawer Deck. 17.Now you need to slide the Drawer and the Drawer Deck to the back of the cab to install the Slide Bolts. The Slide Bolts keep the unit in place in its secondary position. 18.To install the Slide Bolts you will need to use some of the slide bolt shims to space the Slide Bolt to line up with the receiver opening on the Drawer Deck correctly. 19.There needs to be about 1/8 on each side, between the side of the Drawer Deck and the non-extended Slide Bolt. The slide bolt needs to extend no less than a ½ into the side of the Drawer Deck, more if possible, but do not make the Slide Bolts tight up against the side of the Drawer Deck. Also be sure the Drawer is centered on the tracks. 20.Once you have the Slide Bolts lined up you will need to mark and drill 4 pilot holes to attach the Slide Bolt to the truck bed. To drill the pilot holes you will need a 1/8 drill bit. 21.Now you have the pilot holes drilled you can use the ¾ Flat Head Screws and a Phillips Screw Driver to attached the Slide Bolts to the bed. 22.After the Slide Bolts are installed you can now slide the Drawer and Drawer Deck back towards the tailgate into the units primary position. 23.Your StorageMax installation is now complete. 24.Also, please visit our web site for a demo video on using the product.

6 BED MAT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS PARTS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION Qty. Description 16 #10-24 T-Nut with Prongs 16 ½ - #10-24 Pan Head Machine Screw TOOLS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION Cordless Drill 17/64 Drill Bit Tape Measure Rust Inhibitor or Primer (for holes drilled) 1. With the Bed Mat in the vehicle Steps 1 & 2 are the same as in the previous instructions. 2. Note: the 5 pre-drilled holes in the tracks and drill a 17/64 hole in each location through the Bed Mat for the T-Nuts. You will need to be careful not to drill into the bed, so you may want to put something between the bed and the Bed Mat when drilling these holes. 3. Once the holes are drilled, place a T-Nut in each location through the bottom so the prongs go up into the Bed Mat. 4. Now you can place the tracks back in place and use the Pan Head Machine Screws to secure the 48 tracks. 5. Take the 2-24 Tracks and line them up at the back of the 48 Tracks so they are facing the same direction and are also 50 apart on the outside. Note: vehicles with shorter beds like the Crew Cab Trucks may need to shorten the 24 tracks and new holes will have to be drilled in the tracks to secure them properly. 6. Note: the 3 pre-drilled holes in the tracks and drill a 17/64 hole in each location through the Bed Mat for the T-Nuts. Again be careful - you do not want to drill into the bed. 7. Now you can place the tracks back in place and use the Pan Head Machine Screws to secure the 24 tracks. 8. Now go back up to Step 8 on page 3 in the standard instructions and everything else will be the same from this point forward.

7 CARE INSTRUCTIONS 1. The Drawer Deck has a load limit of 150 lbs evenly distributed. Do not leave loads on top of drawer deck for long periods of time. It can cause warping in the plastic. Also, do not leave loads on top of Drawer Deck when driving as the items may fall or fly out of the truck bed causing damage. 2. Keep the Drawer s Track clean and free of water or debris, with lubrication as needed. Water and debris left in the track for long periods of time can cause damage or the drawer not to slide easily forward or backward. 3. The StorageMax will get very hot when left in the sun for long periods of time, and will soften from the heat. However, the unit will go back to it s original form once it cools off. Take care not to place items on top of the Drawer Deck when the unit is hot. 4. The StorageMax is designed to be water resistant, but not water tight. Trace amounts of water may enter the StorageMax compartments and drain out through drain holes.
