Feed the cable for the right grip, labeled Right Hand Contact, up through the right handlebar tube. e. Feed the cable for the left grip through the hole in the user s right side of the mast and through the hole on the user s left side, then feed it up through the left handlebar tube. f. Select a left side grip (b), differentiated from a right side grip (c) by two screw holes. Place a rubber gasket (d) into the left half of the contact grip, and position on the left handlebar. g. Position the small white wire out in the slot at the top of the left half of the hand grip (the side closest to a user standing on the pedals). 12 7. Adjust arms (optional) Note: Before completing this step, plug in and ride your elliptical cross trainer for a few moments to get a feel for the arm motion. If the reach of the arm motion feels right (as it will for most users), proceed to step 8. If the reach is too long or too short, carefully follow these steps to shorten or extend the reach by approximately 1.5 inches: a. Locate the rod end link that connects to the black bar (pivot) inside the machine. The black bar has three holes in it with the rod end link attached through the center hole with a 6mm hex key bolt and a 13mm nut. A spacer separates the black bar and the rod end link. b. While supporting the arm, remove the 13mm nut from the 6mm hex key bolt and carefully ease the bolt from the center hole in the black bar. To extend the reach of the arm, re-insert the bolt in the hole closest to the front of your elliptical trainer. To shorten the reach, re-insert the bolt in the hole closest to the user end of the machine. Make sure that the spacer remains in place between the rod end link and the black bar, with the pocket side of the spacer toward the rod end link. c. Replace the nut and tighten. This connection must be very tight. d. Repeat for the other arm. Should you have any questions or concerns in making this adjustment, please contact your local service provider or contact Octane Fitness Customer Service at OCTANE4, ext Place top cover a Align top cover (C) on top of main housing. Hold the back edge (near the mast) in place and shift the front edge forward until it settles into position. b. While still holding the back edge in place, press firmly on the bottom edge of the front of the cover until it snaps into place. You will feel and hear it snap into place as the plastic bracket on the inside of the front bottom edge clips onto the steel tube at the front of the main frame. c. Secure the top cover to the frame using 2 Phillips screws with washers (M). Press here Steel tube Hold here Secure with screws 12

13 9. install mast boot a. Place the rubber mast boot (I) around the mast (B), covering the open ends of the stationary handlebars. b. Tuck the ends of the mast boot (I) into the channels in the access panel (D) just below the stationary handlebars. 10. Adjust levelers a. Adjust all four levelers to make sure the product sits flat on the floor. For a lower step up height, screw the rear levelers into the rear stabilizer bracket. Then level the machine using the front levelers. b. Tighten the leveler nut against the frame for each leveler. Note: CAUTION: If you move your Q47e/Q47ce, you may need to adjust the levelers to make sure your product is level with the floor. If the unit is not level, it may not function properly. 11. Plug in product a. First, insert the plug into the product, located just below the right roller track. Next, route the cable toward the wall outlet. You can run it under the product to avoid seeing it or tripping on the cable. Ensure that the cord will not be pinched and become damaged. Plug the product into the wall. Note: There is no need to turn off your product your Q47e/Q47ce was designed with an intelligent sleep mode a virtual off button. This eliminates the need for an on/off switch. When your product is in sleep mode, it uses very little power. Unplugging your elliptical will not harm or erase My QuickStart profiles. 13
