1 Instructional Document Genisa Salinas - 7th Neyra Jimenez - 7th Yamilet Novoa -7th Faith Smith - 7th Los Banos Junior High School, CSU, Fresno MESA Center Our alice video game, Hacked Hospital, is about a hospital that gets hacked due to a virus attack. Our main point is to create awareness about antivirus software and how it could help you prevent viruses from your computer and mobile devices. Basic Instructions 1. Start off by clicking on the level you want to play. (It is recommended that you play the levels in order starting from the first level) 2. When the level you selected starts, the button to move on to the next level will disappear, but the Quit Game one will stay. Once you have completed the level the button to move on will appear. In some levels you may need to finish and get a certain score to move on. 3. There is a feature in the game where you can see the definition of key vocabulary of the game. The key vocabulary are virus, and mobile virus. To access these words and their definitions, on the keyboard, click on the letter of the beginning of the word you want to access. You can not access the vocabulary words or their definition while in the middle of the game. However, at the end of each level you will have an opportunity to look over and review the available words and definitions. 4. Throughout the game there will be certain keys to move a certain object. Keep in mind that the keys will not be the same for every movable object. 5. Each level has its own instruction so the instructional document is a bit shallow. Please remember to follow the instructions given as you play the game. Levels Level 1: Just Technical Difficulties - Level one is mostly an introduction about the whole game itself. It begins by asking general questions such as your name, date of birth, and phone number. Just as the people go on with their day the lights turn off and on. The patients are then advised that their have been some technical problems. Two questions are asked which you can either get right or wrong. Finally you go on a little treasure hunt and look for an antivirus which will be useful at the end of the game. Level 2: Hacked a Look Inside- First you will get asked a series of questions. For example, questions like What is your name?, and other questions you might encounter. Then later on in the game, the character will figure out that the room is hacked through a virus and that there is a person on

2 the other side looking at the information the nurse is typing in. The game will end at that. Level 3: The Test - The first thing you will notice is that the button to move on to the next level disappears(it will reappear later). You will be given 30 seconds to find a girl named Charlotte. If you find her before the 30 seconds, wait. You will be asked if you have found her yet. If you haven t you will be asked to restart the game. If you have, then she will begin to ask you a few questions. The questions she will ask you are based on the game and the definitions provided for you throughout it. If you have scored above a, 2, or above the button to move on will appear. However, if you don t you will be asked to restart the level. Level 4: Virus Catch - In this level you will need to will need to use the arrow keys to move. The objective of the game is to catch all of the viruses as if you were the anti-virus software. In order to catch all of the viruses you need to use the arrow keys to move towards the one. Then touch it. Once you have touched one, it will disappear. This signifies that you have captured and ridded of the viruses. Once you have touched all of them, you have finished the game. The game will then tell you how many viruses you catched and your score. Bibliography Alice 3.1, Collisions, Tutorial 0.5, Beginner." YouTube. N.p., n.d. Web. 27 Feb < Alice 3 How-To Guide."
