3 Curreny (Deimal Coins) Order 2017 Artile 1 Statutory Doument No. 2017/0055 Curreny At 1992 CURRENCY (DECIMAL COINS) ORDER 2017 Laid before Tynwald: 21 January 2017 Coming into Operation: 1 Marh 2017 The Treasury makes the following Order under setion 5 of the Curreny At Title This Order is the Curreny (Deimal Coins) Order Commenement If approved by Tynwald, This Order omes into operation on 1st Marh Interpretation In this Order the oins (without more) means oins issued by the Treasury of the denominations of 5, 10, 20 and 50 pene and 1, 2 and 5, whih onform to the requirements as to weight, omposition, form and dimension for oins of the respetive denomination speified in the Shedule. 5 Curreny (Deimal Coins) Order 2017 SCHEDULE SCHEDULE THE COINS [Artile 3} PART 1 DESIGNS 1 Obverse The obverse of eah of the oins shall bear (a) (b) the effigy of Her Majesty the Queen produed by Jody Clark for use on the oinage of the Crown Dependenies and the ountries of the Commonwealth; and the insription QUEEN ELIZABETH II ISLE OF MAN and the year of issue. The arrangement of the obverse is shown in figure 1. 6 SCHEDULE Curreny (Deimal Coins) Order 2017 (b) at is lowest point, the denomination expressed as a numerial value and the word Pene, Pound or Pounds (as the ase requires), eah within an ar interseting with the edge of the oin. 3 Reverse 5p oin The reverse of the 5p oin shall bear a depition of Manx Shearwater in flight with elevated wings within an interloking Celti border as shown in Figure 2. FIGURE 3 REVERSE OF 10P COIN 5 Reverse 20p oin The reverse of the 20p oin shall bear a depition of a Viking Longship in full sail within an interloking Celti border, as shown in in Figure 4. 9 Curreny (Deimal Coins) Order 2017 SCHEDULE 7 Reverse 1 oin The reverse of the 1 oin shall bear, standing upon an interloking Celti border, a Peregrine Falon and a Raven (the supporters assigned to the Arms of the Island by Her Majesty s Royal Warrant of 1996), as shown in Figure 6. FIGURE 6 REVERSE OF 1 COIN 8 Reverse 2 oin The reverse of the 2 oin shall bear an image of the Tower of Refuge (built by Sir William Hillary, the founder of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution), with birds flying above it, all within an interloking Celti border, as shown in Figure 7. 11 Curreny (Deimal Coins) Order 2017 SCHEDULE 9 Reverse 5 oin The reverse of the 5 oin shall bear the Triskelion, as depited on the Manx flag and on the Coat of Arms of the Island, superimposed upon an interloking Celti border and with the denomination 5 POUNDS within an ar interseting with the edge of the oin at the uppermost point, as shown in Figure 8.
