2 Our business concept is to design and develop innovative, fun, unique and colourful products that stimulate children s learning, imagination and role-play. Our products are designed by Petra Rigby Jinglöv (mother of Oskar and Ellen) and made of soft padded fabric with beautiful attention to detail. They have been carefully designed with children in mind and are all tested and loved by children all over the world. While some of our products are suitable for younger kids, most of them are designed for kids three years and older. All oskar&ellen products are handmade by women in sewing studios in the Philippines. We do not mass-produce and therefore each product is unique in itself. Our production is ethical and mindful of the environment. We pay regular visits to the sewing studios in the Philippines and have a close partnership with the staff whom we have known and worked with for more than twelve years. We believe that quality is always better than quantity. 3 Zoo Animal Book Choo choo! Join in the fun and adventure on the animal express. A fun, colourful and educational book. Name the animal, peeka-boo, learn colours, who is in the next carriage the games are endless. The lion, elephant, zebra, giraffe and monkey are all attached with strings for safe play. 4 Dinosaur Book Dinosaurs are very popular with kids; with this book one may learn the proper name (embroidered on each page) of the 6 different dinosaurs by matching the colour of the dinosaur to the correct colour on the Velcro. The book folds open to show a landscape of mountains, volcano and greenery. 5 Goodnight Book A wonderful book, which will help create a comforting moment to your child s bedtime routine. The little Bear/Bunny is going to bed but must first tidy up his room by putting away the toys, take a bath, put on pyjamas, drink his milk and brush his teeth. Care Instructions We recommend hand wash 40 degrees C for all items except the baby quilts, which are machine washable. Please iron your product with low heat or steam and your product will look great. Production / Country of Origin All oskar&ellen toys are handmade (hand sewn and by sewing machines) by three manufacturers / sewing studios in Manila in the Philippines. Each studio has approx. 30 employees and all employees are paid a fair wage imposed by Philippine Law. The working environment and conditions of the artisans are friendly and they have access to drinking water, fans and toilets. Mobiles are allowed to be used during work. The continued orders placed by oskar & ellen provides job security and income stability for the workers at the studios. Materials All products are made from cotton, poly cotton, polyester, rayon, sometimes felt. The fabric is different for each product and is imported to the Philippines from Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and USA. Safety Our products, where applicable, adhere to European standards for toy safety EN and the Directive 2009/48/EC and therefore carry the CE mark. We feel that it is important to stress that although our products are made of fabric it doesn t mean that they are suitable for babies. The majority of the pretend play and activity playbags are suitable from age 3 years and above. The age around 3 6 is an age where the child is enjoying role-play and imaginative play and therefore this is the age when we believe the child will enjoy our toys the most. 60
