To General Education Students will learn and develop scrapbooking techniques in order to create scrapbook pages. They will be able to take their cherished pictures and create an acid free pictorial history which will be preserved for their posterity. B. To Major/Program The student planning to pursue a career in scrapbooking will develop techniques which will help them be successful. Some of these techniques include page layout, journaling, use of templates, cutting tools, embossing, cropping photos, and computer applications of scrapbooking. C. Other This class provides a relaxing atmosphere where students can learn from the instructor as well as from each other. Beginning Scrapbooking I 1

2 Goals: 1. Attain a basic understanding of the methods and techniques used in scrapbooking. 2. Use supplies to create scrapbook pages. Description: Textbooks: Supplies: The student is introduced to the methods and techniques of modern scrapbooking. The student will learn how to develop quality page layouts through paper selection, cropping photos, journaling, use of stamps, embossing, incorporation of computer generated images and text, and templates, along with many other scrapbooking techniques currently being used in the scrapbooking industry.
