10 About the Artist... Sheri McCulley Seibold grew up among the easels, paints, and brushes of college art departments where her art-professor father taught, and remembers that her earliest goal was simply to create! As a child, Sheri admired licensed artists like Betsey Clark, Holly Hobbie, and Charles Schulz, and dreamed of creating art that would add joy to everyday living, like the pillowcase her mom made her from Holly Hobbie fabric. After earning an art degree, Sheri spent time teaching, having children, and doing design on the staff of a scrapbooking products company. In 2007, she opened her own studio and made her exhibitor debut at an international art licensing show in New York. Since then, Sheri s built Kansas City-based Sheri Berry Designs into a brand that encompasses fabric, holiday ornaments, murals, scrapbooking and crafting supplies, cards, stuffed animals, checks and wallets, and baby clothing and decor. Sheri has created stationery products for C.R. Gibson, holiday-themed scrapbooking products for K & Company, decorative giftware for Macy s, and greeting cards for both American and European publishers. Sheri s work with a diverse range of manufacturers has delighted both handcrafters, who sell products based on her fabrics at etsy.com, and scrapbookers, who print and cut her designs from cartridges created for Provo Craft s sophisticated Cricut Imagine machine.
