OFDM is oe of the key techologies which eable o-lie of sight wireless services makig it possible to exted wireless access method over wide-areas. Multicarrier modulatio is such a pla, to the poit that trasmits the iformatio by isolatig the serial high iformatio rate streams ito various low iformatio rate parallel iformatio streams. Orthogoal Frequecy Divisio Multiplexig (OFDM) is a sort of multi-trasporter balace, which partitios the accessible rage ito various parallel subcarriers ad each subcarrier is the adjusted by a low rate iformatio stream at various carrier frequecy. Compared to covetioal approaches the 4th geeratio Log term evolutio applicatio has better spectral efficiecy i terms of accuracy ad high data rate, the 4th geeratio Log term evolutio approach is formed by the collaboratio of OFDM ad MIMO. Although OFDM has may advatages over FDM but it suffers from iter carrier iterferece ad iter symbol iterferece whe multiple carriers are used ad due to this iterfereces loss of Orthogoality happes, i order to overcome these iterfereces usage of cyclic prefix has became madatory. But usage of cyclic prefix shows huge egative impact o badwidth efficiecy as the cyclic prefix approach cosumes early 20% of badwidth ad BER performace too affected. I this paper a ovel wavelet based OFDM model is preseted which is maily iteded to provide good Orthogoality ad better spectral efficiecy usig various modulatio techiques, the uique thig i the usage of wavelet based OFDM is it does ot eed ay spectral efficiecy ad absece of the cyclic prefix icreases badwidth efficiecy whe badwidth icreases simultaeously spectral efficiecy icreases. Fially the usage of the wavelet based OFDM shows improved BER over covetioal FDM commuicatio model. The simulatio results idicates the usage of wavelet based OFDM i place of DWT based OFDM i LTE ad fially the compariso betwee wavelet based OFDM ad DFT based OFDM. Most of the researchers termed 21 st cetury as Commuicatio area due to the high ed techological advacemet i this area which makes commuicatio fast ad reliable [2]. The itese research classified commuicatio ito two categories a) wire based commuicatio b) wireless based commuicatios. Wire based commuicatios is cosidered as most useful tool i world wars to covey iformatio from oe ed to aother i 1940 s ad optical fiber plays a crucial role i wire based commuicatio mechaism ad after completio of war the domiace of Uited States of America (USA) ad Uio of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) over the world makes the research o commuicatio so fast that i two decades commuicatio research grows from daily life commuicatio to satellite M. RELATED CONTENT Chael 2.1 OFDM ad its Orthogoality I orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig commuicatio model the sub carrier used are orthogoal to each other. The Orthogoality helps i employig the overlappig betwee the sub carriers i the respective frequecy domai [4]. The accuracy of commuicatio model is based o how effective the badwidth is used ad this is techically termed as spectral efficiecy or badwidth efficiecy, the acquired badwidth efficiecy is free of Iter carrier iterferece ad the absece of Iter carrier iterferece (ICI) is maily because of usage of Orthogoality i orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig [5]. The iput radom sigal data rate streams (high) are coverted ito data rate streams (low). The importat aspect i the OFDM block diagram is the modulatio techique which modulates the low data rate streams i parallel way ad this parallel stream give iput to the IFFT block which trasforms the frequecy data to time data before it reaches the chael. Addig the cyclic prefix acts as the guard iterval ad the reverse of trasmissio is accomplished at receiver ed [6]. The iput data (digital) is geerated by biary source geerator as show i below figure ad the biary data is modulated with modulatio approach such as BPSK, QPSK ad QAM with several differet costellatios [8]. The serial to parallel performs the task to covert the serial data to the parallel mode i N various sub streams. The these various sub streams are modulated through the IFFT modulatio block. S/P Coverter The IFFT block i the block diagram i desig to trasform the frequecy to time domai for obtaiig the delay related issues at the chael ad the guard iterval amed CP is iserted to tackle the issues like ICI/ISI [9]. The OFDM symbols are iitialized i the time domai which has specified legth before givig it to the chael the the operatio is performed i the iverse directio to remove all the operatios which are performed ad gets the output as OFDM sigal i MIMO format. 3. PROPOSED METHOD AND ANALYSIS 3.1 OVERVIEW OF PROPOSED METHOD Rem CP High speed commuicatios has became part of huma daily lives to trasfer the data from oe etity to aother etity hassle free. The data rate (commuicatio speed) plays a crucial role i high speed commuicatios ad the promiece of data rate ad its requiremet as specified by Iteratioal Mobile Telecommuicatios Advaced project (IMT- Advaced). The revolutio of high data rate commuicatios iitialized i the year 1998 by the evolutio of 3GPP ad i the latter years the research work of 3GPP has bee carried out o revolutioary project amely Log term evolutio (LTE) to show the immese importace of two etworks amely Radio access etwork(ran) ad core etwork. O the other cotrary the 4G applicatio based o 3GPP etwork was far more advaced tha covetioal 3GPP i terms of data rate ad efficiecy ad these two reasos makes 4G more advaced. I order to make the access of 3GPP ad 4G applicatio possibility i real time sceario a advace commuicatio model is required ad compared to all commuicatio methods. The orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig is oe of the techiques employed i Log term evolutio for better data rate by ehacig it with appropriate parameters [11]. The 21 st cetury is treated as era of advace commuicatio systems by iteratioal stadards as the applicatios like 4g are approved by iteratioal telecom uio (ITU) ad simultaeously the speed i the 4 th geeratio is clearly specified i the IMT ad 4GPP which are established i the At iitial research the 4GPP starts workig the microwave sigal etwork applicatios like Radio access etwork ad core etwork ad latter o the 4GPP starts workig to meet the great data rate i log term evolutio project the the existece of OFDM came ito lime light which provides high data rate ad great spectral efficiecy [12]. The usage of the multi carrier approach has bee the revolutioary idea to meet the practical requiremets usig high speed commuicatios. The usage of multi carrier has two importat advatages i the area of the high speed commuicatios as follows (1) Geerally i covetioal approaches whe compared to the orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig the ehacemet techiques usage plays a importat role to remove the impact of oise ad oise related cotets o the sigal, but o the other ed the ehacemet techiques usage dramatically icreases the ru time complexity. But i the multi carrier approach there is o eed of ehacemet techique ad the absece of ehacemet techique help to improve the performace. High data commuicatios (2) The sigal fadig has bee a uresolved issue i most of sigle carrier based commuicatio techiques, although umber of approaches has bee reported i the literature but oe ca meet the practical requiremet. Aalysis of the high speed commuicatio sigal by usig Fourier trasform, Discrete Fourier trasform ad fast Fourier trasform has ot yield the desired results accordig to the practical requiremet. multipath propagatio of the sigal i the OFDM which is based o DFT results i the loss of orthogoality, the loss of orthogoality shows huge impact o the commuicatio sigal. The drawbacks amely ICI ad ISI are the results of the loss of orthogoality. There is miute differece betwee two iterfereces ICI ad ISI, as ICI occurs at differet subcarriers which belogs to differet sigals while comes ISI it occurs totally differet whe compare to ICI, as ISI happes at the same subcarrier at the successive symbols. 3.4 ANALYTICAL APPROACH OF PROPOSED METHOD The proposed aalytical framework compares the OFDM system performace based o wavelet with the traditioal OFDM system with various log term evaluatio modulatio techiques. I order to calculate the wavelet based OFDM system i this proposed we make use two wavelets amely as follows (a) Haar wavelet (b) Daubechies2 wavelet NOTE: I our proposed method the successful trasmissio of the sigal is doe by usig the Additive white Gaussia oise chael/ Data Ecodig Pilot Sychroiz atio Modulatio Removig Cyclic Prefix IFFT Addig Cyclic Prefix Geerally the sigal aalysis is doe by coefficiets of sigal ad i wavelets also the sigal aalysis is doe by usig the wavelets coefficiets i terms of both frequecy ad time domai. The wavelets basis fuctio localizatio plays a importat role i aalyzig the sigal i reliable way ad i this basis fuctios are localized i both time ad frequecy domai. Whe compared to the Fourier trasform the elemetary elemets i wavelet waveforms are ot sie ad ot cosie as i Fourier trasform. 5 The covetioal orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig (OFDM) has a basis set which is orthogoal i ature which is formed by usig the siusoids of the discrete Fourier trasform. I traditioal orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig (OFDM) approach the siusoids of the DFT is correlated with the respective iput sigal ad this correlatio is doe with the each ad every siusoidal basis fuctio. Here the siusoids which are used to correlate with iput sigal are the sub carriers of orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig (OFDM) itself. I order to meet the practical requiremet ad to accomplish the task i fast way, i OFDM fast Fourier trasform (FFT) usage ad iverse fast Fourier trasform (IFFT) is ecouraged. The mai advatage of the fast Fourier trasform usage is it completes the task i less umber of computatios whe compared with traditioal approaches. Cyclic prefix (CP) is geerally occupies aroud 20% of the badwidth meas it is copy of selective part of symbol. As log as the delay spread of chael remais i the limit of the cyclic prefix there would ot ay loss of orthogoality i the OFDM sigal. For log term evolutio LTE) applicatio the data related to differet users i the dowlik sceario is multiplexed i the frequecy domai ad this all process is termed as the orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig (OFDM). Geerally the drawbacks like PAPR occurs i the orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig (OFDM) due to radom ature of the costructive approach of additio of subcarriers. I order to overcome the problems above metioed a power liearizatio techique ad a poit amplifier eeds to compress the abormal power fluctuatios ad all this process is doe at the base statio(bs). But i practical all this equipmet icreases the cost so the usage of SC FDMA approach is ecouraged i order to reduce the PAPR ad all this happe because of the presece of the sigle sub carrier. Although sigle carrier has far more advatages over its traditioal approaches but it too suffers from drawback. I sigle carrier itroductio of ICI is happes at the uplik sceario ad i order to remove it a low complexity equalizer is required but the SC FDMA ot sesitive to the parameters like Doppler shift ad frequecy offset. 3.6 WAVELET BASED OFDM SYSTEM MODEL The usage of wavelets has potetial to replace the traditioal discrete Fourier trasform (DFT) ad the followig aalysis proves the importace of wavelets over traditioal discrete Fourier trasform (DFT) i detailed way As traditioal discrete Fourier trasform (DFT) takes more time to accomplish task i both frequecy ad time separately but i wavelets both frequecy ad time domai sigal aalysis is accomplished joitly. The mai advatage of the wavelets over traditioal discrete Fourier trasform (DFT) is multi resolutio aalysis where the respective iput sigal is decomposed ito frequecy compoets for the accurate aalysis with differet resolutio matchig to scale. 6 The wavelet trasformatio has a iovative system with lot features oe such feature is wavelet filter by usig this system ca be desiged as required. Oe more advatage of wavelets over covetioal approaches is geeratio of the multi resolutio sigal. Wavelets has good orthogoality ad the localizatio of the sigal is doe i both time ad frequecy domai simultaeously. Because of the uique ature of the wavelets the power related to the ISI ad ICI ca reduce dramatically. To reduce the impact of ISI ad ICI i the system the usage of CP is used which literally cosumes the 20% power which shows adverse effect o the spectral efficiecy. The usage of the wavelets reduced complexity O[N] whe compared to the Fourier trasform complexity O[N log2n]. The system desig of the wavelet based OFDM system is simple while compared with the DFT based OFDM mechaism. The absece of the cyclic prefix gives more badwidth efficiecy i the wavelet based OFDM tha traditioal DFT based approach. The iput sigal i the wavelet trasformatio is passed through various filters ad latter the sigal is decomposed ito low pass sub bads ad high pass sub bads will form whe the sigal is passed through the filters. The wavelet trasformatio approach divides the iput ito below the highest frequecy ad above the highest frequecy, the high pass filter starts aalysis o the iput sigal ad remove the all frequecies which are localized at the below half of the highest frequecy. Simultaeously the low pass filter aalyzes the sigal ad removes the all frequecies above the level of highest frequecy. The two mai advatages of the wavelet decompositio are as follows (a) The wavelet decompositio halves the time resolutio of the sigal (b) The resolutio i terms of the frequecy are doubled ad it repeats till fial I wavelets processig two types of coefficiets obtaied, iitial coefficiets are termed as detailed coefficiets which are obtaied through the high pass filter ad latter coefficiets are termed as coarse approximatios which are obtaied through low pass filter with processig i terms of scalig process. The umber of levels used i the recostructio process should be same as umber of steps performed at the decompositio step 3.7 PROPOSED DISCRETE WAVELET BASED OFDM SYSTEM MODEL (1) I traditioal approaches we make use DWT ad IDWT ad the covetioal approaches are replaced with DWT ad IDWT. (2) The mai advatage of the proposed method is absece of the cyclic prefix which icreases the badwidth efficiecy. Before performig the modulatio step data is coverted ito decimal form. Ecodig IDWT Iterleavi g Carrier mappig Modulatio Pilot isertio The proposed work maily utilized two high trasform techiques amely DFT ad DWT based OFDM system model by usig differet modulatio approaches i differet coditios. The differet modulatio techiques used i the proposed work are used for the Log term evolutio applicatio which is used for the 4G high speed commuicatios are QPSK, QAM i differet levels like 16 QAM, 32 QAM, ad 64 QAM etc. The umber of modulatio techiques are used for both uplik ad as well as for dowlik commuicatio. The importat poits belogs to differet modulatio approaches are as follows DWT awg chael Demappi g Pilot sychroi zatio (1) The commoly used Quadrature Phase Shift Keyig (QPSK) has oe commo drawback over other modulatio approaches. Geerally Quadrature Phase Shift Keyig (QPSK) does ot have capability to carry the trasmitted data at great speed levels. The trasmitted data is decoded at the receiver ed. 4 SIMULATION RESULTS AND ANALYSIS Although lot of progress has bee made i the past to desig the distortio less high speed commuicatio mechaism by removig the commoly eruptig drawbacks but still the BER aalysis i differet trasform based OFDM system ad the performace aalysis of the by usig Matlab as source of medium i applicatios like LTE i the Discrete Fourier trasform (DFT) based OFDM ad Discrete wavelet trasform based OFDM system model is still cosidered as cocered area i the field of high speed commuicatios. Deiterlea vig Demodula tio (2) To evaluate the performace aalysis of each ad every commuicatio model with respect to some performace evaluators amely peak sigal to oise ratio, i practical sceario geerally whe good quality of peak sigal to oise ratio is detected the obviously usage of modulatio techiques which are higher i level are preferred over Quadrature Phase Shift Keyig (QPSK) (3) As may research works opts for higher level modulatio approaches over Quadrature Phase Shift Keyig (QPSK) the certaily Quadrature Phase Shift Keyig (QPSK) does ot require high PSNR value. To evaluate the stability ad reliability of the DFT based ad DWT based OFDM i our proposed work, differet values of PSNR are take ad the recorded aalysis are passed through Additive white Gaussia oise (AWGN) chael. The simulatio process are followed as follows (1) Cosider P trasmitter, Q receiver ad a high equipped chael amely Additive white Gaussia oise (AWGN) chael are cosidered for the simulatio process iitially. (2) The orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig which is based o Haar, db2 ad 64 QAM has better performace almost similar i terms of statistics related to BER whe the modulatio used is QPSK 5 CONCLUSION As the world move i to the future, there is a risig demad for high capacity, high performace ad high bit rate wireless commuicatio system to itegrate wide variety of commuicatio services. To icrease data rate of wireless medium with higher performace, OFDM (orthogoal frequecy divisio multiplexig) is used.
