3 Scalable tool to support different levels of performance testing Propsim FE is a scalable tool that provides a feature set from single channel fading emulator to an integrated test solution for wide range of standard defined RF-test cases. Test system components and equipment such as interference and AWGN generators, switching boxes, circulators/duplexers and attenuators are conventionally used to build complete test systems/connections. Propsim FE integrates these in one box and consequently achieves excellent system calibration accuracy. Propsim FE is an extensive fading and interference emulation platform for demanding link performance testing of wireless systems. With a wide range of options Propsim FE can be modified to many different configurations based on different customer needs and purposes of use. This flexible platform design allows system configurability with adjustable fading emulation performance and test case connectivity resulting to the most efficient test system solution. 4 Ease of use Ready made RF Test Case Connections Comprehensive library of ready made test cases including standard channel models, C/I and S/N settings simplify the system configuration substantially. These predefined test case templates allow fast and easy creation of new standard based test environments and test cases. Versatile user interface with graphic elements enable easy creation and modification of any channel model or test configuration. Fading channel characteristics and test connection parameters like C/I or S/N are controlled and modified easily using these elements also while performing the tests. Propsim FE s channel model editor enables particular and diverse adjustment of channel parameters. With the impulse response display Propsim FE provides profound and accurate information of the channel characteristics. All this data is also available for later processing to verify test results and DUT behaviour against instant channel states and S/N or C/I ratios. Propsim FE with full remote control (GPIB/LAN) compatibility with other Propsim products form a unique R&D test entity that enables friendly parallel usage of different Propsim products within same laboratories/projects. Versatile user interface with graphic elements: All test case and fading channel parameters can be adjusted from the integrated user interface or remotely via GPIB or Ethernet.

5 Simplify Your WCDMA or GSM Pre-Conformance Test Setup Improve Test System Calibration Accuracy Propsim FE offers a complete solution for GSM/WCDMA and CDMA RF test cases including noise and interference signal generation as required in conformance test specifications. Integrated components together with internal interference sources enable running GSM/WCDMA or CDMA pre-conformance tests with connection to communication tester and DUT. Propsim FE s configuration for such tests complies with e.g. TS34.121, TS25.141, TS51.010, TS TIA/EIA and IS-95/97/98/2000 standards. As the full test case connection is provided internally in one box the calibration accuracy is improved and only very simple calibration is needed. Due to fully digital implementation the C/I and S/N accuracy is taken to extreme limits and repeatability in the measurements is clearly improved.
