1 T E000 Net eter Installation Guide Introduction T uses two independent energy meters to monitor the power and energy flow from on-site generation and the grid. It uses these values to calculate power and energy consumed by building loads. Cachelan provides one meter with split-core CTs to facilitate installation. The installer must supply fuses, optional meter enclosure and installation. displays power and energy for generation, grid import, grid export and total loads. An option is available to monitor up to individual loads separately. Status and logs display measured values for identifying grid and equipment issues. Voltage Current To Service Drop Site Preparation is accessed from a browser using data sent over the internet from the meter connected to the site network as shown in fig. Connect an standard cate patch cable between the meter and the building router. The LAN must have persistent high speed internet service to an ISP to provide access to the internet. Alternatively, can be ordered with a G cellular modem for wireless internet connection. In this case, 0VAC receptacle is required to plug in the G modem power dongle. The meter is DIN-Rail mountable with Cachelan supplied DIN-Rail mounting feet. Power Supply: For E000 meter is getting control power from the voltage inputs (voltage range up to V) from terminal L and N. No external power supply is required. If the line-to-neutral grid voltage exceeds, voltage transformer is required to step it down to the meter s voltage range. CT Wiring: The direction of the CTs during installation is very important for correct meter reading. Refer to fig a and b for CT orientation details. Ensure the arrow mark points to the load or generator. Split-core CTs supplied by Cachelan with secondary of mv are clamped on around existing wires inside breaker panel. Power should be off when installing the CTs and wiring the voltage inputs. CT Allocation: The eter has CT inputs. Inputs - are reserved for measuring grid power; inputs - are reserved for generation power (i.e. inverter) and inputs - are for optional individual circuit monitoring. Detailed CTs connection can be found in the CT allocation table in Fig. For typical installation wiring, refer to Fig a for -phase -wire system and Fig b for split-phase -wire system. If the CT allocation table is not correct or it needs to be changed, after the meter is installed and granted internet access, contact Cachelan techsupport at x for remote configuration update. 4 Network Setup The E000 meter will be plugged into the building LAN router or G cellular modem for internet access. By default, each meter is set to DHCP to obtain IP address from the building network automatically. The Status LED is an installation aid and can be used to determine the issue with internet connectivity.
