1 Channelized The AFL Channelized Cell Enhancer is a twoway on-frequency repeater for operation where the user requires sufficient selectivity to respond to a single channel. This is generally the case where the user is operating within a shared frequency band, where it is not possible to coordinate the geographical location of systems operating on adjacent channels. Units are available to meet the requirements of all international mobile communications systems including SMR, APCO25, P25, I-DEN, AMPS, PCN, PCS, GSM, CDMA and 3G cellular. The Channelized Cell Enhancer incorporates selectivity modules that utilize crystal or surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters to achieve the 12.5, 25kHz, 80kHz 200kHz, 1.25, 5MHz (others available) bandwidth channel spacing as employed in digital systems. This will incorporate either 1 to 12 pairs (uplink and downlink) of channel modules with frequencies and bandwidths programmed to achieve the specific requirements of the customer s network. Remote configuration is possible through AFL s remote control and monitoring system. Small signal low noise and high power Class A amplifiers from the latest AFL range are selected to give a high performance and an economic solution for all relevant applications. Key Features Permits rapid selection of frequency when operating in a closely spaced channel environment Only re-amplifies specific channels and channels can be disabled if required Remotely configurable via the CEMS software Automatic gain control is included to protect the system against operational saturation caused by close mobile working Available in 19 rack mount or in an NEMA 4 enclosure for wall mounting AFL Product Overview Page 4 of 32 Date: 16/09/05
