1 CENTAURS Tactical Cellular & RF Jamming System System Overview
2 Index i. General Description of the System ii. System components iii. Cellular Jamming iv. Wideband Responsive Jamming v. IMSI Catcher vi. Vehicle Armor Level B7
3 General Description of the System The Centaurs was designed to provide comprehensive solution for various scenarios. The main scenario is to provide as a state of the art Convoy jammer that allows any number of people in the convoy to conduct regular voice calls and send data. Total system output power is over than 3,000 Watts and covering the entire 20-6,000 MHz RF Spectrum as it includes up to 26 Tactical Channels. The system incorporates multiple subsystems in order to provide complete solution. Sub systems include high-level car armoring, wide-band RF jammer, High power cellular jammer and multiple band cellular IMSI/IMEI catcher. The wide-band RF jammer serving as a complete, high-level, jamming solution against RCIED. These units include cutting-edge technology for maximum protection. The active cellular jammer units, delivers very high output power of 500W per band. This unit was designed to achieve extremely high jamming distance in a rush-cellular environment. The system support jamming for all cellular generations including 2G, 3G and 4G. Last sub-system serves as IMSI/IMEI catcher and cellular control. More detailed information can be found in the next pages.
4 High Power Cellular Jammer This system was designed to create an effective, long distance cellular networks jamming. It is based on advanced digital cellular receiver and highly-effective digital programmable cellular jammer. The receiver scans the area for cellular control channels and the information is displayed on the integrated LCD, from the strongest channel to the weakest one. The displayed information includes the cellular channel number and its level in dbm. Consequently, relevant information is sent to the programmable cellular jammer and the jamming process is executed. The user can set the level detection for each cellular band, hence filtering long-distance irrelevant cellular signals. This assures an even higher jamming efficiency, as the jammer blocks only the required and nearest channels. The system supports UPLINK and DOWNLINK jamming simultaneously, although the user can choose to shut down each band separately. High gain directional antennas are an integrated part of the system, which ensure a high receiving sensitivity on the one hand and a longer jamming distance on the other hand. In order to reduce possible system interference to other electronic devices, each band is filtered with high-quality and selectivity band-pass-filter. The output power of each band is monitored and can be set automatically or manually by the user. Each power amplifier is protected against high VSWR and high temperature.

8 General Description Wideband Responsive Jammer The main operational scenario for this system was for blocking RF-based initiations of RCIEDs. The system is comprised of two main RF blocks: An SFDR Software Defined Radio A DDS & TxDAC Based Jammer During normal operation, the system "listens" to the predefined spectrum and collects the RF atmosphere in the protected bands. The collected data is analyzed in real time and its output contains the frequency measurement, the signal's characteristics and the RF signal level. Once any signal inside the protected band is classify by the system as a threat, the jammer takes action and transmits a white-noise signal that jams the communication between the receiver and the transmitter. This transmission lasts for several milliseconds and then returns to reception mode, continuing to monitor the designated spectrum. The user defines the threshold level for receiving signals to be jammed. Scanning time is fast enough to jam DTMF based initiated RCIEDs. The minimum channel step is 10 KHz and the maximum step is 1MHz. The user can also define the number of channels to be monitored and jammed whenever the RF energy level is greater than the set threshold. The instantaneous bandwidth is 40 MHz based on a digital filter. AM & FM demodulators are integrated as part of the system and can be used for real time listening purposes. Special Features Jamming Methods Active/Responsive Jamming Distance Over 250m Response time ~ 10mSec Adjustable Jamming cycle- between 1mSec to 100mSec

12 General Description IMSI Catcher Our IMSI catcher was designed to detect the IMSI's and the IMEI's present and active in the designated area for 2G, 3G & 4G Phones. This capability enables the device's operators to identify possible threats. The device acts as a "false" mobile tower, thus registering the IMSI numbers active in its vicinity as they attempt to attach to it due to strong signal strength. The device's case allows for tactical mobility and flexibility. It is lightweight, compact, and easy to handle. Furthermore, the unit's long internal battery life allows it to function freely for up to 4 hours between charges. The system supports up to 4 GSM and 5 UMTS bands. The user can easily detect all active IMSIs and IMEIs and block transmissions. Moreover, by composing a "white list" of numbers never to be blocked, the device automatically scans and intercepts all non-white listed numbers. System Features By using relatively low RF output power, the system enables the coverage of large areas. Up to 5,000 cell phones on "white list" Lightweight Software Define Radio (SDR) enables great flexibility and future upgrades Easy-to-use management system The system can be installed within a Pelican case. One of the system's most valued features is it's on-screen alert when a previously marked IMSI/IMEI enters the perimeter. Applications Prisons Military Units Special Police Units Governmental Facilities Law Enforcement Agencies

14 General Description Car Armor Level B7 The vehicle is protected according to protection level B7 including all sidewalls, doors, pillars, roof, floor, front bulkhead (firewall) and rear barn door. Ballistic steel being used consists of tested 6 mm. armored bulkhead with ballistic glass as separation between passenger cabin and cargo compartment. Fully armored vehicle - front to rear. All passenger doors are fitted with 100% overlap system, which provides maximum strength retention to prevent penetration through doorposts & pillars. Transparent armor is bullet resistant glass with polycarbonate film, virtually eliminating the spalling effect. The passenger cabin is protected with a combination of ballistic steel according to protection level B7 for all sidewalls, doors, pillars and roof, front bulkhead and rear door(s). Edges and seams are armored by utilizing an overlap design system, which minimizes gaps, preventing penetration, and composite materials for reducing weight on the additional armor Floor armor Floor is fitted with "Ballistic Carpet" to protect occupants against fragmentation from simultaneous detonation of 2x DM 51 German ordnance hand grenades or equivalent (i.e. US M-67). Roof armor The roof is designed to defeat 2 x DM51 hand grenades detonating at the same time. Roof protects against 30-degree angle shots in accordance to European Standard level B7. Fuel tank armor Fuel tanks are protected with ballistic steel against 2 x DM51 hand grenades detonating at the same time. Protection is done with ballistic steel (only for Petrol). The battery and the ECU in the engine compartment are protected with ballistic steel according to protection level B7.
