2 Series DJA3000 up to 4 Bands Thank you for choosing the Series DJA3000 Cellular Communications Jammer. The Series DJA3000 consists of several models of medium to high power Cellular Jammers. The model DJA3040 provides up to 4 frequency bands, each with 40W and total output power of 160W. The model DJA3120 provides up to 4 frequency bands, each with 120W and total output power of 480W. In order to ensure that you are familiar with the operations of the DJA3000 Jammer, this manual provides details which includes introduction of product, warning notices, installation and operation guidelines and system settings. Once Jammer is switched on, user should maintain a minimum distance of 4 meters between body and antenna.

3 PREFACE This manual covers installation and operating instructions of DJA3000. Please read it carefully before start of operation. Introduction DJA3000 High power cellular jammer is a white noise transmitter, which prevents communications between mobile phones and cellular base stations. Safety Guidelines Please read further before using the unit. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in reduced product performance. In case of concerns, please consult manufacturer or re-seller. Handling & Transportation As a result of its heavy weight, please take particular care while handling the unit. Always place it on a stable horizontal surface to prevent sliding. Safety Distance When the unit is on, almost all RF power radiates from the area perpendicular to its top cover. Do not activate the unit for continuous operation if there are persons or obstacles at a distance of less than four (4) meters (open space) from antennas. Connecting Antennae Antennae must be installed before turning on power. Under no circumstances should you operate the unit without antennas fully connected.

4 Open Panel Do not open any of the unit panels unless instructed by manufacturer. Environmental Conditions and Usage The unit has been designed to outdoor use, however it is recommended not to expose it to direct sunlight, high temperature or other extreme weather conditions. Fuel / Chemicals The unit may operate near refueling points to minimize hazards of cellular phones transmission. Do not activate the system near fuels of chemicals without the approval of experienced personnel. User s Property It may be illegal to interface with communications equipment outside user premises. Medical Equipment Do not activate the unit in hospitals, clinics or near operating medical equipment unless specifically approved for usage by local authorities. Aircraft Do not activate the system on board an aircraft without specific approval of Aviation Authorities.

7 Output Power Controls There are four groups of dip switches which are used to control RF output power of the DJA3000 Jammer corresponding to but not limited to the Cellular Technology transmission listed: CDMA - 851/869MHz ~ 894MHz GSM - 925/936MHz ~ 965MHz DCS MHz ~ 1990MHz 3G MHz ~ 2170MHz Each set of dip switches has an output power of 31dB and is adjustable in steps of 1dB. Note: Dip Switch factory default settings are set for maximum output power - all 5 are in off (down) position. As user turns dip switch to on position (up), output power is reduced Fig 1.2. 9 System Components System components consist of remote control unit, main enclosure with shield package, AC/DC converter, power cable and antennae cables. The next paragraph provides a brief description of all components. Remote Control Unit The remote control unit may power the unit ON/OFF. Connectors There are Four (4) RF (N) connectors, which are used to connect two (2) directional antennae and one (1) power supply input connector for VAC. Antennae Cables Two (2) 10 meter antennae cables are included. Antennae There are two (2) directional antennae each with two sockets. 10 Characteristics of Interference Theoretical Principles Wireless communication is effectively completed by ensuring greater carrier signal density to a certain noise density ratio during communication between Cell Tower Base Station and Mobile Telephone. An identical frequency distortion signal is used to increase the ratio of noise frequency (NF) signal to carrier frequency (CF) signal for shutting off the communication between the base station and mobile phone. The output power of jammer is provided. The shield radius in the application of free space is confirmed according to the receiving signal lever from base station and free space attenuation in pass through. The formula given below confirms the shielding radius in a comparison table of distance vs. pass through. It is based on carrier receiving power from base station, output power of jammer as well as gain of antenna. System Block diagram Fig 1.5

11 Calculating Jamming Radius Coverage G: Gain of Jammer Antenna L1: Attenuation (loss) in pass through L2: Attenuation (loss) based on topography and weather W: Average output power of jammer X: Average Carrier output power of base station 12dB 32dB 6dB -26dB -75dB Fig 2.0 In The Formula: Gain of antenna G less attenuation (loss) in transmission signal L1 less attenuation due to topography and weather L2 equals average output of Jammer = W G L1 L2 = W If for example, carrier output power X is measured at -75dB and DJA3000 Jammer output power W is -26dB after subtracting attenuation of equipment, cables and environmental obstacles, then we calculate: Jammer output W (-26dB) less Carrier output X - (-75dB) = Y 49dB The resulting number is used in a formula: Y/6=Z or 49/6=8.2 or rounded off to 8 Radius is calculated as 1 x 2 8 =Radius in meters or 256m So the assumption is that the working radius coverage of the Jammer is in the order of 256 meters. User may also measure with Nokia 8250 (GSM) or Motorola C510 (CDMA) cell phones. To see the signal parameter Press*# then press the "OK" key 3 times. Testing Base Station Carrier Output Power 1. When your mobile is in Network monitoring state, your mobile will be show following: 2. When your mobile phone is waiting status, it will be show following: RxL: shows receive signal strength (unit: dbm), range is -110~0; when it is -100, nothing appears. Rxpwr: shows power level of mobile phone when user is calling; range is 0 ~19. It is showing "XXX" when it is waiting status. TS: Time Slot, TS=0 ~ 7, TS 0 is use to BCCH. RQ: Rx Quality, RQ=0 ~ 7.the smaller RQ, the better Rx Quality. It is showing "X" When your mobile phone is waiting status. TA: Time Advance. It is showing the distance between mobile phone and base station. The formula is TA 500 = X meters

13 How to use field strength test software The following information is provided in calculating field strength test software: Step 1: prepare cable line, Nokia 8250, software and computer; Step 2: Connect Nokia 8250 with computer using cable; Step 3: Install software in your computer; Step 4: When installation is completed, there will be open a window, click "Net monitor" if the choice is execute mode or if data display mode, then select "data display mode") Step 5: disconnect cable between Nokia 8250 and computer. It will show some modes in your Nokia Step 6: Test field strength. Step 7: Please record the result which shows on Nokia device; then send with data to Dante Security technical support at support@dantesecurity.net. A returned will be provided with needed information on field strength of installation.

14 Start of Operations Unpacking the Unit Carefully open the package and keep for any needed future shipment. Check whether components appear to be in good condition. Should any damage be apparent, please contact authorized reseller. Installation Connecting Components In order to connect system components, RF cables are used to link the equipment with antennae - see top view - installed on the N connectors on top of DJA3000. After connecting the RF Cables between unit and antennae, a power cable plugs unit into an electrical outlet. Note: be sure to connect all the antennae first before the power supply is switch on. Power Source The system includes an auto ranging VAC power input source. Connect power cable to the unit and main supply. There is an internal fuse with a value of 6.3A. Switching on Jammer After RF and power cables have been installed, turn on the unit by using two (2) ON/OFF switches located on front panel or by using remote control buttons. When the LED lights on the front panels turn green the unit has been activated. Jammer factory default is set for maximum output power. Remote Control Remote Control unit may be used to turn ON/OFF DJA3000 Jammer. Please refer to Remote-Control connector. Activate the DJA3000 Jammer The jamming capability of the DLA3000 unit takes effect immediately. There is a wait time of seconds before mobile phone screen displays "NO SERVICE". Switching off Jammer To turn off the DJA3000, switch the ON/OFF switch to off position on jammer or via remote control unit; the jammer ceases to function.

15 Installation of Antennae The two (2) directional antennae should be installed at the edge of the shielding area as shown below. Note: To improve jamming coverage efficiency, install the unit with antennas in vertical position meters Fig meters Note: Be sure to connect all the antennae first before the power supply is switch on. Please do not take off antennae when the machine is working. Antenna shall be used vertical to the ground, working more efficiently. Please do not install unit in areas of moisture, heat, high voltage and high magnetism. If the jammer does not turn on please contact the distributor or reseller.

Install bracket to the antenna using the M10 x 25mm machine screws, please note to adjust the tilt frame according to the application - see drawing on left. 2. 17 Troubleshooting Problem Possible Solution After unit is switched on, power LED does not light up 1. Please check cable connection to power source 2. Try to operate jammer using remote control unit After Jammer is switched on, power LED lights up, but unit does not interfere on one frequency band 1. Please ensure that antennae are well connected with respective cables. Check connections at N connectors on jammer. 2. Try again and note that no obstacles stand between antennae and area that requires interference. After Jammer is switched on LED lights up but unit does not interfere with any of the frequency bands Repeat steps above Jammer can only be switched on from main switch 1. Please ensure that remote control unit is well connected. 2. Disconnect remote control unit and open its cover. Check the fuse and replace if necessary

18 Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) Q: What affects the performance of the Cellular Jammer? A: The surroundings such as buildings, hills, etc. Additionally, the closer the Cell Tower Base Station is, the lower the output power requirement for the Jammer to effectively block the signal. Will jammer interfere with other electronic equipment from operating in normal condition? A: No. Because the electromagnetic signals generated by jammer are employed in frequency bands regulated by the government and interfere only on cell phone network communications. Q: Is jammer harmful to the human body and cell phone? A: The intensity of electromagnetic signal transmitted by jammer is in compliance with the national standard of environmental electromagnetic wave health. The signal emitted by the jammer is relatively small and does no harm to the human body according to test results. This jammer equipment only interferes with the receiving capability of cell phones. It makes the normal connection between cell phone and base station impossible. Therefore, no damage will occur on the cell phone itself. Q: Is there any difference of distance between using jammer indoor and outdoor? A: Yes. Generally speaking, the outdoor signal is greater than the indoor signal. The shielding effect of jammer is reduced outdoors. In any installation, whether indoor or outdoor, the effective distance of interference depends entirely on the surrounding area, including the distance between different base stations, positions of installation etc. Q: Does the jammer have the same effect to GSM cell phones and CDMA cell phones? A: CDMA Technology provides greater capacity of resisting to signal interference than GSM technology. So the interference effect of Jammer on GSM cell phone is greater than on CDMA cell phone. Q: How is the operation of Jammer affected by temperature of enclosure after working for an extended period of time? Does the rise in temperature cause damage to the equipment? A: The Series DLA3000 Jammer design is based on conductivity of heat via heat sink attached to the metal enclosure.
