3 NDR6 OPTICAL TRANSCEIVER RS3/4/485 & Optic Fibers (-40 to 74 C ) Industrial Range Data Transceiver for optical links up 50 km. Configurable RS-3, RS-4 o RS-485 to or 4 wires. Speed transmission up to Mbps. Links over or fibers. Multimode MM or Singlemode SM. Mechanical formats for rack (PAWAL) and Standalone/ DIN Rail. NDR6 devices allow links over optical fiber as standard EIA/TIA/RS-3, 4 and 485 over and 4 wires, with distances up to 50km over SM and up to 0km over MM. Designed for Plug and Play verifying a correct functionality and data transmission and reception through light signal. NDR6 family is designed for work on loop adding redundancy to the installation also can work in point to point communications with or without redundancy and as repeater module, depending of model. When ring communication is break-down on fiber line, this device will trigger the alarm relay coming also displayed in the master one.

5 Point-to-point installation with redundancy Point to point configuration with redundancy is like a rong formed by two devices. The head device needs to be configured as master (switch 4 on). When ring communication is break-down on fiber line, this device will trigger the alarm relay coming also displayed in the master one. Installation as repeater module For repeat nodes configuration, all modules have to be set-up as slave (switch 4 off). The node where the fiber communication is lost will trigger the alarm relay. Point-to-point installation For point to point configuration, all devices will setup as slave (switch 4 off). The node where the fiber communication is lost will trigger the alarm relay. *In all cases, if the alarm relay connects and disconnects randomly, it means that the fiber link is at the attenuation limit. This will be noticed in the affected node-module loosing the link signal and triggering the alarm relay.
