Product introduction The LED slim panel light is a new addition to CLD s range of LED panels, with a lifespan of hours and designed to fit directly into existing standard 600 mm x 600mm suspended ceilings and recesses. A robust aluminium construction providing even light dispersion, low heat output and no UV or IR. The 9 mm slim body has a nice finish of frame. The panel provides a uniform light output with no dark zones and has an isolated driver for instant connection. The panel is dimmable using 1-10V protocol. UK Mains Voltage Test and Dimming Original measurements were taken in our factory and were conducted usually at V. To provide the most accurate values for the electrical parameters we conducted a series of measurements in real time. Each tube was connected to mains voltage and linked to a high-end power meter. The measurements obtained are the relevant values for active power (P), reactive power (Q), apparent power (S), input current (I) and power factor (PF, not cosϕ) when the products are used with UK voltage. 9 Dimming using the DIM MCU from Osram In order to adjust the lighting levels based on natural light available the panels can be dimmed using the 1-10 V method. We have tested the behaviour of our 48W Slim Panel when dimmed using the rotary dimmer control from Osram when supplied at 240 V. The wiring diagram for connecting one panel is presented below, but several panels can be connected to one control unit. The variation of the main parameters of one panel based on the value of the 1-10 V control voltage can be followed in the graphs below. Please note that the driver of the panel has been designed so that even for the smallest control voltage the panel will not be switched off. 10 Dimming using the LEDSMMA motion sensor The LEDSMMA motion sensor is an advanced motion switch that turns on the light based on movement detection and turns it off after a pre-selected hold-time period. The product also includes a built-in daylight sensor for switching or dimming lights when natural light is available. The sensor is capable of dimming the panel using the 1-10V protocol. The wiring diagram for connecting two panels is presented below, but more panels can be connected to one sensor. The variation of the main electrical parameters of the two panels based on the stand-by dimming level selected can be found in the below table.
