We are serving 150+ prestigious clients in the UAE, and also export our products to other GCC countries - Kuwait, Bahrain, Doha and Muscat. Our parent company INVENTION STEEL L.L.C, Dubai (Established in 1996 ) is a fully equipped manufacturing facility in the UAE for manufacture of a complete range of Stainless steel anchorages, specialty fasteners, fixing systems for concrete/brick-to brick wall ties, and Natural Stones A complete Stone (fixing) Management Systems. As it is our endeavor to asses needs of the market and provide Quality, Cost Effective and Timely solutions, POWERTRACK STEEL INDUSTRIES L.L.C. was established to cater to requirement of High Quality Cable Management Systems in UAE and other GCC countries, at short lead times to cope with today s fast moving construction sector. 4 INFRASTRUCTURE The facility is housed in a industrial shed built up in excess of sq.ft. with open space of about sq.ft. strategically located in the well industrialized Al Quoz Industrial area. With a known tradition for technological innovation, the facility houses state of art machinery for high-end production. The Precision Tooling has been specifically designed and manufactured in the UK. At the heart of our manufacturing facility stands a CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) Sheet punching press. This is complemented with a full range of sheet metal working machinery including spot, arc,tig welding machine of German make. Our in house engineering design section is equipped with high-end hardware and efficient software packages to support. Measuring instruments is of the highest quality from Germany and is periodically calibrated to ensure dimensional accuracy of products at all times. The facility is manned by competent & experienced personnel at all levels, who, have a Quality Attitude that transforms into Quality Product having its destination to our Valued Customers.

8 CABLE TRUNKING SYSTEM TR Series Cable trunkings are a safe, dependable and cost effective solution for distribution and protection of telecommunication and power cables. Today s modern industrial environment demands the use of complex technologies in efficient applications. Hence, cable trunking has become a vital part of industrial, commercial and utility construction. Cable trunking is a readily available, economical and flexible solution to overcome problems of protected cable distribution. The cable trunking is a closed body steel ducting of 3 meter length placed end to end and joined with coupler plates and round head bolts and nuts. It has a removable cover on the top for easy access to the cables that run through it. The system comprises a complete range of Steel Surface Trunking and complementary fittings conforming to BS Part 1: 1971 (1988) Class 3. It is constructed as return edge trunking system from Galvanized sheet steel conforming to BS EN for maximum protection from atmospheric corrosion. CONSTRUCTION The body comprises a floor and upstanding sidewalls, upper portions of the sidewalls being convergent towards the top opening. The lid comprises laterally-spaced locking clips secured beneath a top plate (minimum one per meter), the clips providing for the lid to lock on to the top opening between uppermost portions of the convergent sidewalls.. Side flanges of the lid are arranged to overlie the uppermost portions of the sidewalls externally. The duct sections are of a shatterproof construction, the body and the lid both being of steel. FEATURES The trunking body is machine formed with inturned flanges for better strength. The lid is equipped with easy fix clamping system secured with slotted round head bolt to be turned at 90º to lock and unlock. Each 3 meter length is supplied complete with one pair of coupling system along with the bolt, nut and washers. All complementary fittings are constructed from galvanized steel to match the trunking. 9 CABLE TRUNKING SYSTEM D3 Technical Data TR Series TRACKX Cable Trunking System is manufactured conforming to British Standard BS Part 1: 1971 (1988), Class 3 SCOPE & DEFINITION The British Standard specifies requirements for all Steel Surface Cable Trunking and associated steel connectors, intended for the protection of cables in electrical installation as defined in the latest BS 4678 Part 1 standard. The British Satandard BS 4678 Part 1 defines Surface Metal Cable Trunking as a fabricated system of metal enclosures assembled together by means of connectors a device for joining together straight lengths of cable trunking in line for the protection of cables. The cross section of Surface Metal Trunkings is normally square or rectangular in construction, one side of which is removable OR hinged. Depending on the application it may have partitions or deviders. The dimensions in the specification are that of the external width and depth of the body only and does not include any projections by way of fittings or accessories such as connectors, fixings, flanges, strengthening angles or stirrups, covers or cover fixings, or earthing continuity strips. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS According to the British standard of BS 4678 Part 1 : 1971 (1988) the surface metal Trunking should be so designed and constructed as to permit the laying in of cables after installation is completed and should give reliable mechanical protection to the cables once the cover (lid) has been replaced. Connectors are to provide reliable mechanical joints to the Metal trunking. Moreover, the cable trunking either with or without cover is to provide sufficient electrical continuity in tune with the requirements of Clause 10 of BS 4678 Part 1 :1971 (1988) standard. CLASSIFICATION OF PROTECTION Reference to the above mentioned standard, Metal cable Trunking and connectors are classified according to the type of corrosion resistance/protection coating applied. Class 1 Electro-galvanized steel sheet having a minimum thickness of Zinc coating of 0.012mm (12 μm) inside outside. Equivalent to BS EN Class 2 Electro-galvanized steel sheet having a minimum thickness of Zinc coating of 0.012mm (12 μm) inside outside.equivalent to BS EN with additional coating of stoved or air drying paint applied at least to the external surface. Class 3 Continuous Hot Dip Galvanized or Pre Galvanized or Mill galvanized zinc coated steel to BS EN (BS 2989) with minimum coating designation of G 275 4

16 STANDARD MATERIAL G 1 Technical Information Cable Management Systems Steel Steel cable trays are fabricated from continuous roll-formed structural quality steel. With roll-forming steel, the mechanical properties are increasingly allowing the use of a lighter gauge steel to carry the required load. This reduces the dead ports and the installers. The corrosion resistance of steel varies widely with coating and alloy. Advantages: Electric Shielding Finish Options Low Thermal Expansion Limited Deflection Aluminum Aluminum s excellent corrosion resistance is due to its ability to form an aluminum oxide film that when scratched or cut reforms the original protective film. Aluminum has excellent resistance to weathering in most outdoor applications. Aluminum cable tray has excellent resistance in many chemical environments. Typically, aluminum cable tray can perform indefinitely, with little or no degradation over time, making it ideal for many chemical and marine environments. Advantages: Corrosion Resistance Easy field Fabrication & Installation Excellent Strength-to-Weight Ratio Excellent Grounding Conductor Stainless steel Stainless steel cable trays are fabricated from continuous roll formed AISI type 304 or AISI type 316/316l stainless steel. Both are non magnetic and belong to the group called austenitic stainless steels. Like carbon steel, they exhibit increased strength when cold worked roll-forming or bending. Several important conditions could make the use of stainless steel imperative. These include long term maintenance costs, corrosion resistance, appearance and locations where product contamination is undesirable. Stainless steel exhibits stable structural properties such as yield strength and high creep strength at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel cable trays are welded using stainless steel welding wire to ensure each element exhibits the same corrosion resistant characteristics as the base metal. A detailed study of the corrosive environment is recommended when considering a stainless steel design. Advantages: Superior Corrosion Resistance Withstands High Temperatures 11

17 STANDARD FINISH 1. Pre Galvanized (Mill Galvanized to BS 2989) (Mill Galvanized, Hot Dip Mill Galvanized Or Continuous Hot Dip Galvanized) Pre-galvanized steel is produced by coating coils of sheet with zinc by continuously rolling the material through molten zinc at the mills. This is also known as mill galvanized or hot dip galvanized. These coils are slit to size and then fabricated by roll forming, shearing, punching or forming to produce pre-galvanized cable tray products. This finish is usually used in normal atmosphere pollutants. In contradiction of what many people think, it can also be used in the presence of moisture as the cable ladder or tray is protected from corrosion by two ways. During fabrication, cut edges and welded areas are not normally zinc coated; however, the zinc near the uncoated metal becomes a sacrificial anode to protect the bare areas after a short period of time. A. The existing layer of zinc which isolate the steel from the effect of the external environment. B. The existing Zinc will also protect the bare exposed steel points, preventing corrosion to occur. The protective lives of the exposed points depend upon three major factors: A. The thickness of Zinc coating, where greater thickness results in better preservation. B. The most exposed points will have a short life span compared to other points. C. Major environment factors like harsh climatic conditions, exposure to chemicals, industrial plants and finally the coastal regions where the effect of salt and moisture will drastically reduce the protective life period. 2. Hot Dip Galvanized after Fabrication to BS 729 (Hot Dip Galvanized Or Batch Hot Dip Galvanized) In this process, cable tray are fabricated from steel and then completely immersed in a bath of molten zinc where a metallic bond occurs resulting in a zinc coating that completely coats all surfaces, including edges and welds. The zinc thickness is controlled by the amount of time each part is immersed in the molten zinc bath as well as the speed at which it is removed. Hot dip galvanized finish can be used in tougher environment for pre-galvanized finishes due to the absence of cut edges or weld points. The layer of zinc which bonds to steel provides a dual protection against corrosion. It protects first as an overall barrier coating. If this coating happens to be scratched or gouged, zinc secondary defense is called upon to protect the steel by galvanic action. Hot dip galvanizing after steel fabrication is recommended for prolonged outdoor exposure and will protect steel for many years in most outdoor environments and in many aggressive industrial environments. 3. Epoxy Coating Epoxy resin offers hard adherents coating which is non-flammable. It has extremely high resistance to corrosion, acids, alkalis and is not affected by salt or moisture. 4. Polyvinyl Chloride Coating (PVC) PVC coating provides electrical insulation to cable trays. It offers good resistance to sea water and sea oil but has poor resistance to organic solvents and is also inflammable. 5. Clear Polyester Coating (CPOC) Clear polyester coated tray is now established as an alternative to traditional post-galvanized tray. Applying a factory coating of clear polyester powder to pre-galvanized steel cable tray produces a system with superior finish and performance with none of the attendant problems of roughness and distortion associated with the post-galvanizing process. Uses of CPOC tray include installation in corrosive atmospheres such as chemical plants, battery rooms, marine environments or general outside use, where post-galvanized or stainless steel systems have been commonly specified in the past. In such installations, CPC tray provides a more cost effective solution to the problems of combining mechanical performance, ease of installation and endurance in hostile conditions. 18 CORROSION All metal surfaces are affected by corrosion. Depending on the physical properties of the metal and the environment to which it is exposed, chemical or electromechanical corrosion may occur. Atmospheric Corrosion Atmospheric corrosion occurs when metal is exposed to airborne liquids, solids or gases. Chemical Corrosion Chemical corrosion takes place when metal comes in direct contact with a corrosive solution. Electrolytic Corrosion G 3 Technical Information Cable Management Systems Electrolytic corrosion is defined as a process of accelerated corrosion resulting in the passing of an electric current between two metals coupled in an electrolytic environment. The metal is attacked below the blue line. The joined metal undergoes no galvanic corrosion, but on the contrary enjoys an effect of galvanic protection. Electrolytic corrosion is very important when choosing the assembly bolts and certain accessories different from the cable way supports. Storage Corrosion Wet storage stain (White rust) is caused by the entrapment of moisture between surfaces of closely packed and poorly ventilated material for an extended period. Wet storage stain is usually superficial, having no affect on the properties of the metal. Galvanic Corrosion Galvanic corrosion occurs when two or more dissimilar metals come in contacts with the presence of an electrolyte (ie. moisture).
