General product information: roduct Description: It generates a variable output voltage and frequency required to run an AC motor over a range of desired speeds. The HD5L (Elevator Controller) comprise of an input 3-phase diode rectifier, brake, DC link capacitors, a switch mode power supply (SMS) and an IGBT inverter stage. It also provides a braking mechanism to dissipate power when the motor slows down or is brought to a halt. The SMS supplies all the control circuits within the drive. A range of input/output connections is provided to enable the user to control the motor from a variety of control sources and to monitor the behavior of the drive. The AC voltage, usually of fixed frequency, supplied to the drive is rectified by a diode rectifier and smoothed by the DC bus capacitors to create a DC voltage. The inverter stage then converts this DC voltage back into AC having specific voltage and frequency, as required to drive the motor. The inverter is controlled by pulse width modulated (WM) signals that are derived from a microprocessor control circuit. The r.m.s. voltage of the fundamental of the output can be up to but not exceed the input voltage. Exploded view

Technical Considerations : The Elevator Controller is an Inverter for building-in class II equipment use within BDM (basic drive module) to adjust the speed of motor. The Elevator Controller consider as a OVC III input mains supply, the instruction installation should indicate as below drawing:

All tests are carried out by the representative models HD5L-4T011. The Elevator Controller shall be combined with external breaker for installation, both sample are simulated

The earth conductor cross-section and connection path through the product is shown as local wiring regulations state, calculation according to of IEC and user manual. For installation, commissioning and maintenance, must be appeared below minimum safety information in manual: Before installing, running-in and maintaining the HD5L (Elevator Controller), must read through the User Manual carefully. In addition, do not installing, running-in and maintaining this HD5L (Elevator Controller) until you have fully understood safety precautions. Hazardous voltage and electronic shock exists on each circuits and interface when HD5L (Elevator Controller) is powered up or running and Checking and maintaining can only be done after AC power is cut off and wait for at least 10 minutes. Only a trained and qualified professional person / qualified electrical engineer can installing, commissioning and maintaining HD5L (Elevator Controller). Maintenance personnel should take off all metal jewellery before carrying out maintenance or internal measurements. Suitable clothes and tools must be used. The maintenance can only be done after ensured that the charge indicator inside HD5L (Elevator Controller) are off and the voltage between power terminals (+) and (-) is below 60Vdc, 35.4Vpk. Location for use Indoor, preventing from direct sunlight, no dust, corrosive, flammable gases, oil mist, water vapor, dripping or salt etc, not install at the combustible, explosive, corrosive gas and liquid location. Operation altitude Less than 3000 meters. Vertical installation on a strong support with fire-retardant material. Make sure adequate cooling space for HD5L (Elevator Controller) so as to keep the ambient temperature between Install at where the vibration is less than that 5.9m/s 2 (0.6g), and the peripheral device, protective device should configure according manual then evaluated as relation standard requirements again in end system.
