4 The KODAK Unique Lens is a customized progressive designed for smooth visual performance. The front and back surfaces are smoothly synchronized. All visual corrections are combined and applied to the back surface of the lens using state-of-the-art technology. This gives patients smooth gradation of power, gentle binocular balance and near vision performance. Sophisticated geometries are the backbone of the design philosophy. The result is a broad field of view, clear distance area, instant adaptation, quick, clear object recognition in the periphery and visual quality comparable to a single vision lens. Lenses can be manufactured to tolerances up to 1/100 th of a diopter. The technology behind KODAK Unique Lens automatically customizes the design for the patient s frame selection which includes customization of the length of the intermediate portion of the lens. This ensures the best overall visual performance for any b measurement, large or very small, down to a 13mm fitting height. Important ordering information: Since KODAK Unique Lens is a customized progressive, we do not fabricate it at our lab. The lens is outsourced and produced by Signet-Armorlite. They will need the following information in order to produce the job. If any of this information is missing, a callback to the customer will be necessary which will create an unnecessary delay. Frame information: Manufacturer, name, eye size, bridge, A, B, ED measurement, frame type: zyl, metal, grooved or drill. The frame should accommodate a minimum 13mm fitting height to the bottom of the eyewire and 10mm to the top. If the lenses are being ordered uncut then a shape must be selected from the special Signetek frame shape chart. This chart may be faxed to the customer. Anti-Fatigue Technology-KODAK Unique Lenses with Anti-Fatigue Progressive Technology are available to presbyopic patients who experience eyestrain or eye fatigue associated with prolonged near-viewing tasks. The patented Anti-Fatigue Progressive Technology assists the normal binocular function of a patient's eyes by incorporating base-in prism in the reading area of the progressive lens design.
