2 This Software works with the following Scanners: - OS OS12000-V - OS OS12002-V - OS OS15000/zeta Known Issues When OS 12 is started, the initialization of OCR may take several minutes depending on the network connection. During that, the splash screen remains on the monitor of the PC. This only happens during start up of the software, but does not affect further operation any more. In very rare cases, such a behavior may also occur during initialization of the PDF components. please stay patient if starting OS 12 takes a moment more! Perfect Book for OS12002-V is not available yet. New/changed Functions: Revision: 2317 General OmniScan: Update Manual (German, English, Turkish [not latest manual version]). The characters?<>*"/\:; must not be used in file names. Bugfix Print with Ctrl-P works correctly again. Separate dialogue for book cradle settings in OmniScan to set up pressure of motorized book cradles, opening degree of glass plate where this is supported, book cradle function buttons). Saving of Express Mode jobs now works in Windows 7 the same way as under Windows xp PDFs also can be created from files with not unicoded characters (tmp environment variable must indicate the drive where job is saved). Glass plate/book cradle drivers in signed forms (also supports W 8.1 when the time comes). Manual opens when? button in book cradle is pressed. Display of Jobinfo (if such an info is saved) also when a new job is selected manually (not only Express Mode). You can save up to 10 functions as hotkeys (similar to function buttons in Advanced book cradles). Book cradle interface: Support of OT180 H50E, OS12002 Advanced Plus, OS15000 Advanced Plus and OS 12002V. SelectSidesOnCradle works with all book cradles which have release buttons in the book plates. Warning before opening of glass plate when glass plate is opened with button in toolbar. Control Panel (and OS 12000/12002 book cradle): If the last part oft he glass plate is closed manually, correct setting for color profile is selected (with glass plate). Changed text in Installer for glass plate driver now glass plate/book cradle Interface Driver. Support Clear Button as Rescan where no rescan button is available. Start Scan On Glass also with OT180-H35. Filters/Tools Support of further barcode types: 'Patch Code', 'PDF417' and 'QR-Code'.

4 Also filterstacks with filters which are no longer available can be loaded (from old jobs). Stamp for Center, Above, Right and Left. Paperwhite: if in one color channel black point and white point are not found, the information will not be used in other color channels either. Book curve correction: Contrast values now in promille; default for OS12002 increased from 250 to 500, OS added to the list of scanners. Job Completion OCR with new IRIS engine, now directly in 64 Bit New output format option in OCR ihqc (searchable and not searchable) PDF/A-1b also for individual (single) pages (JobCompletionCopy). Jobcompletion Multipage now also can use file names which cannot be translated from Unicode to Multibyte. Copy in job completion with change of format PDF with JPEG 2000 corrected. In batchmode, no scanner drivers will be loaded so batch mode also runs when scanner is switched off. Metadata Error report if metadata is missing with info what is missing if it is not defined, not an environment variable and not an implicit metadata. Calculation of average brightness of an image as metadata and possibility to export this information. Tools: ShowIP added to Omniscan Installer. Scanner: OS During light adjustment light is switched on every 90 sec timeout only after 15 min instead of 2 min. Default resolution 32 Bit: 300 PPI, 64 Bit: 400 PPI. Bookcopy Bits saved in OS12002.ini so that they can be communicated in DiagFile. PerfectBook 3.0 available (sw based). ROI available. PerfectBook 3.0 can be forced on even if camera based PerfectBook is available.

5 Sw based PerfectBook and camera based PerfectBook can be licensed separately. Serial no. can be read from Mess.kal Serial no. of Kamera.ini(s) and calibration is written into.ini file. Display of white reference area: click to upper border works without limitation. No overflow of position. 3D Shading re-aktivated. Firewall handling can be switched off. Starting from Firmware 10, grey high resolution re-activated. Always BGR-RGB swap except with TWAIN. Time between right click and calibration increased from 3 sec to 9 sec (similar OS12000). Slider instead of Output Raw Image with 2 additional levels. Georef is kept during Firmware Update. Live image shows minimal and maximalen brightness and scale. Scan modes 200, 300, 400 and 600 PPI Scan counter will also be reset to 0 in.ini file i fit is reset. OS Distortion problem in some ROI levels solved (OS A1). Logging of Debug notices in DriverSettingsPath. Support of ne focus drive OS and OS A1 with focus spindle pitch instead Timeout for light reduced to 2 minutes. Notice that during grey balance calibration that brightness values must be set in ascending. When scan bidirectional or ROI is switched of, scan head will return to 0 position before next scan. TWAIN Interface: gets available color depth from list instead of first value only (some TWAIN drivers need this information to select all color depths). Virtual scanner Bugfix Unicode use. File saving independent of operating system. Resolution of image will be used as new scan/scanning solution. File name in Unicode and according to settings path. 7 The software update needs to be performed by a trained service engineer. Depending of the scanner type, a scanner firmware update may be required. If required, Omniscan will show a message. The required firmware for the particular scanner is included in the Omniscan installer.
