Here in the south of Kyoto Prefecture, as a unifying theme, we used t he Kizu River which runs through each of the six towns and villages that jointly run a general hospital. The paintings convey the strength and healing warmth of hands while stained glass brings together the crests of the hospital, towns, and villages. These media are effectively used at the entrance to the hospital to combine reassuring integrity with beauty. 8
