1 PIERO DELLA FRANCESCA: IN THE HEART OF ITALIAN RENAISSANCE TOUR 3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS: Day one: Rimini / Urbino Rimini, arrival with own means. In the early afternoon meeting with the local guide, english speaking or in the selected language. Guided tour of the two faces of Rimini: on one side the Roman town on the Adriatic sea, with ots openair museum between the Arch of Augusto, the historic Flaminia and Emilia roads, Tiberio Bridge and the House of the Surgeon (Domus del Chirurgo); on the other side the middle-ages town, with the paintings of Giotto and the painters of the school of Rimini in the thirteenth century, the Castle, Temple and Malatesta s valleys painted by Piero della Francesca. In the Tempio Malatestiano can be admired one of the most famous paintings of the artist: the fresco of Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta praying in front of St. Sigismondo (Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta che prega davanti a San Sigismondo). In the late afternoon transfer with own means to Urbino and accomodation at the hotel with Welcome drink. In the evening a taste of local typical product with selected wines of the area will be offered, and afterwards will be performer a private chamber concert and/or a music action painting by the artist Giuliano Del Sorbo in an exclusive location in Urbino. Overnight. Day two: Urbino / Sansepolcro / Monterchi / Arezzo Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with a local guide, english speaking or in the selected language. Guided tour of the town that, though is a small village, has an outstanding role in art history, having been one of the most creative and admired courts of the Renaissance. Entering the streets and buildings of the old town, it is still possible to notice the perspective perfection that inspired many works by Piero della Francesca, including the Flagellazione and the Madonna di Senigallia, still hosted in the Ducal Palace. Visit of the Marches National Gallery, integrated in the beautiful setting of the Ducal Palace itself. The visit continues in the Church of San Bernardino where Federico da Montefeltro was buried. Free time for Lunch. After lunch, transfer with own means to Sansepolcro, hometown of Piero della Francesca, where the artist was born, lived for some time, and died. Meeting with local guide, english speaking or in the selected language and visit of the Civic Museum, where some masterpieces of Piero are still preserved, such as the Resurrection, the Madonna della Misericordia, San Giuliano and San Ludovico; in these works the harmony of the streets, the elegance of the palaces and inside of the churches are perfectly recreated by the artist. Walk of the middle-ager part of the village, passing the house where he was born, and the Romanic Gothic Cathedral. Transfer with own means to Monterchi, meeting with local guide, english speaking or in the selected language. Monterchi is an intimate middle-ages village in the most hidden and untouched Tuscany, among parish churches and castles, where it is said the
