Joining rounds will make an ugly seam up the back of your work. Place marker at end of each round, moving it up as each round is completed. Gauge isn t important for this project, as long as your stitches create a tight fabric so stuffing won t show through. 1

With white cotton and tapestry needle, embroider an X for the mouth and nose. Legs (make 2) With Mint, ch 2 Rnd 1) 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Rnd 2) 2 sc in each st. (12) Rnd 3-9) 1 sc in each st. (12) Cut yarn with an arm's length for sewing. Press piece flat with tail hanging from one corner. Set aside. (see photo 2) Arms (make 2) With Mint, ch 2 Rnd 1) 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Rnd 2) 2 sc in each st. (10) Rnd 3-6) 1 sc in each st. (10) Cut yarn leaving an arm's length for sewing. Press piece flat with tail hanging from one corner. Set aside. (see photo 2) Ears (make 2) With Mint, ch 2 Rnd 1) 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Rnd 2) *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc* repeat from * around. (9) Rnd 3) 1 sc in each st. 3 ---> Finishing the Kitten Stuff body/head piece, keeping body somewhat flat. Using the yarn tail from round 29, whipstitch across the bottom to make a flat seam (be sure to add the face details before sewing seam shut, otherwise you won t be able to attach the safety eyes). Secure with a knot and weave in end. Set aside. Lightly stuff arm. Using the yarn tail from round 6, whipstitch the bottom to make a flat seam. Secure with a knot, weave in end. Set aside. Repeat on second arm. Lightly stuff leg. Using the yarn tail from round 9, whipstitch the bottom to make a flat seam. Secure with a knot, weave in end. Set aside. Repeat on second leg. Don t stuff ears. Using the yarn tail from round 6, whipstitch the bottom to make a flat seam. Secure with a knot, weave in end. Set aside. Repeat on second ear. Using photo at end of pattern as a guide (page 8), thread tapestry needle with mint yarn and sew ears to top of head, arms to the sides of the body, and legs to the bottom seam of the body. Secure all ends with a knot, weave them in. 3

4 ---> Bikini Bra Cups (make 2 ) With yellow, ch 4 Row 1) Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc 1, Sc 3 in next st (this is the top of the cup, photo 3). Working on other side of foundation chain, sc 2. Ch 1, turn Row 2) Sc 3, 3 sc in next sc, sc 3. Ch 1, turn Row 3) 1 sc in each st. Cut yarn, weave in ends before moving on to next step. Trim With Coral, sl st across top edge of each cup. Cut yarn, weave in ends. (see photo 4 and photo 5 for reference) 4

6 Strap With yellow, sl st across the BOTTOM of first cup (photo 6) Ch 3, sl st across the BOTTOM of next cup, ch 30, making sure not to twist ch, sl st into the beginning of strap on first cup (photo 7). Cut yarn, weave in ends. (You can also cut yarn after ch 30 and sew strap to cup instead of sl st) 6

7 Bikini Bottoms With yellow, ch 17. Row 1) Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc to end. Ch 1, turn. (16) Row 2) Sc2tog, sc to last two sc, sc2tog. Ch 1, turn. (14) Row 3) Sc2tog, sc to last two sc, sc2tog. Ch 1, turn. (12) Row 4) Sc2tog, sc to last two sc, sc2tog. Ch 1, turn. (10) Row 5) Sc2tog, sc to last two sc, sc2tog. Ch 1, turn. (8) Row 6) Sc2tog, sc to last two sc, sc2tog. Ch 1, turn. Bikini Bottom Ties With 10 inch yarn tail hanging from slipknot, sl st across the top edge of bikini bottoms. Ch 1, cut yarn leaving 10 inches (yarn tails act as the ties for bikini. I tied mine in bows and trimmed the excess yarn). Repeat on the bottom edge. (photo 8 and 9) 7
