2 These two sets of hats and mittens are worked from seven colors - two hats and four mittens from seven skeins of yarn. The po de Nieve (snowflake) design has classic Fair Isle OXO motifs separated by smaller border patterns. The Ramillete (flower bouquet) design is based on a traditional Scandinavian pattern. INSTRUCTIONS HAT Hem With lor F and circular ndl, and leaving a tail at least 6 longer than needed, cast on 20 sts. Join for working in the round, being careful not to twist stitches. Rise (Note: If desired, place markers every 24 stitches to indicate the hat chart repeats.) Work po de Nieve Hat Chart for 2 rnds. THUB (worked the same for both mittens) Carefully remove waste yarn from thumb, and place sts on the wrist side and on the finger side onto dpns, then pick up additional stitch at each side of the thumb.
