Sew point of neck to body at shoulders. Use black wool to embroider eyes, nostrils and dorsal cross. Collar Use crochet hook to make chain of 12 sts. Fasten off leaving length of yarn at each end. Cut separate length of yarn and thread through end sts. of chain. Put round neck, pull ends together and tie in knot. Cut end to form tassel. Tail Cut 3 pieces of wool approx 6 ins long. Twist together tightly and fold in half to form cord. Bind round 1 inch from fold to prevent it coming undone. Ears (make two) Cast on 3 sts. P. 1 row. Next row: inc. in first 2 sts., K. 1 = 5 sts. Beginning with P. row ST-ST 3 more rows. Cast off. Fold each leg in half and sew up as for front legs. Please attach a CE label to your knitted Mini Woolley by making the label into a loop and sewing into the seam of one of the back legs. Stuff and sew to body. Attach tail to body and trim to required length. Use black wool to embroider dorsal cross to body. This is a great pattern for anyone who stock piles left over odds and ends of wool as each donkey takes very little material and is also very quick to make.
