1 SECTION P NEEDLEWORK, DRESSMAKING, LACE, QUILTING, KNITTING, CROCHET, RUGS Convenor: Mrs Lilian Barry M : Stewards: Kate Punshon, Christine Woodman, Priscilla Argent, Meg Chabrel, Rosemary Simpson, Margaret Uylaki NO ENTRY FEES APPLY TO THIS SECTION NO PRIZE MONEY EXCEPT FOR JUNIORS ENTRY FORMS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE SECRETARY, PO BOX 713 STRATHALBYN 5255 BEFORE 4pm MONDAY 24th SEPTEMBER 2018 A separate entry form is required for each section Judging will take place on Sunday ALL EXHIBITS MUST be delivered to the Show Hall on Saturday 29th Sept between 10am 2pm No Exhibit is to be removed before 4:30pm on Show day. Ribbons and Prizes can be collected after 4:00pm on Show day from the Needlework Convenor in the Show Hall CONDITIONS OF ENTRY ] Exhibitors must abide by the Rules and Regulations of this Society (refer to the rules in the front of this book). ] An Exhibit which has previously won a prize at a Strathalbyn Show will NOT be accepted. ] An Exhibit must NOT be worn or used and must be clean (Except for Class 14, items made from recycled material) ] An Exhibit must NOT be more than two years old. ] A limit of 3 entries per person per class. ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE THE WORK OF THE EXHIBITOR Names must be pinned on the back of all exhibits along with Class Number (for easy removal by Convenor). These above conditions will be strictly enforced

2 SECTION P1 HANDMADE LACE Donated by Strathalbyn Lacemakers Group 1.1 Any Torchon Technique Handmade Lace article either wholly made or edged with lace 1.2 Any Handmade Lace article, using any technique 1.3 Non traditional article any piece no greater than 20cm SECTION P2 EMBROIDERY Donated by South Coast Embroiderers Guild 2.4 Any handmade article using a surface embroidery technique 2.5 Any handmade article using a counted embroidery technique 2.6 Any other embroidery article, not included elsewhere EMBROIDERY DEFINITIONS :- Surface embroidery refers to all those hand stitches worked freely across the surface of the fabric without the necessity of counting the threads; including using ribbon, thread, wool etc Counted embroidery refers to handmade articles which are worked by counting the threads of the fabric; including cross stitch, long stitch and tapestry
