1 Fun with Zoe and Magic Pilot Season Episode 4 A Day with Uncle FunBuck
2 We are going to open the show with this scene. You are going to see a mail man walking down the street and turn up the sidewalk to Zoe house. While the mail man is walking up the sidewalk, Zoe is going to be on the front porch waiting for the mail man to come. Zoe will see him, stand up and ask the mail man do you have it today? Show Opening And the mail man looks up, see s Zoe on the front porch and stops, then he looks down into his pouch, shuffles through his mail, and he will find a letter with a picture of Uncle FunBuck on it. The mail man will pull the letter out, hold the letter up, and asks is this what you are looking for? Zoe will say It s here! It came! My show is here! My show is here! The mail man will give the letter (with a DVD in it) and Zoe says thanks and then turns and runs into the house.
3 When the child gets into the house, she starts to yell to his Mom Mom!!! Mom!!! It s here!! My show came today!! You will see the child run through the house and we will film her coming into the kitchen and finding her Mom, yelling It s here! It s here! My show came in the mail today! Then Mom will say That s great Field! Go get your Dad and lets watch it. Zoe runs through the house yelling for her Dad my show came Dad! Come watch it with us. Go get your Dad and let s watch it We will film the whole family getting together on the couch in the living room. Then Zoe puts the DVD in the player and hits start. Then the camera will zoom into the TV and then my theme song and show opening will occur.
4 Meet and Greet We will have Zoe and parent come over to Buck s house, and what we are going to film is Buck on the front porch sitting on a rocking chair. Buck will be reading a book about magicians on the front porch when when Zoe and the parent walk up the steps. Buck puts down the book, says hi to Zoe and parent, and Buck asks Zoe if she likes magicians. Zoe says yes and Buck says, well then, I have quite the surprise lined up for you today. We are going to go on an outing to a place where I ve never been before and I reeeaaaalllllyyyyyy think you are really going to like it. Buck then turns to the parent, OK Dad, we will see you when we get back. And Buck and Zoe walk down the steps and across the yard, where they wait to meet Tank. When Buck and Zoe reach the side yard, they will stop, Buck will look down at Zoe and ask are you ready to meet Tank and Zoe will shake her head yes. Buck will say OK. I ll call him and Buck turns his head toward the garage, puts his fingers up to his mouth and makes two quick whistles. Then Buck turns his head back down to Zoe and says here he comes!.
5 Then we see Tank pull out of the garage, driving on his own, turning up the driveway and pulling up to Buck and Zoe. Zoe will be filmed with a jaw dropping expression after seeing a real micro bus drive all by himself! Tank pulls up to Buck and Halle and parks. Buck introduces Zoe to Tank Zoe this is Tank and Zoe will say hi Tank. And Buck will say Tank, this is Zoe and Tank will ring his bell 2 times. Then Buck says it s time to get Grump and Buck walks to the front of Tank and yells GGGRRRRRRUUUUMMMMPPPPPP. Then we see Grumps feet wiggle. Then I turn to Zoe and says I don t think Grump heard me. Will you help me yell for Grump. Zoe says sure and we both holler for Grump GGGGRRRRRUUUUUMMMPPPPP then we use the footage we already have of Grump getting up, going to the door, coming out of the door and walking over to Buck and Zoe.
6 Buck says hi to Grump and introduces him to Zoe, and Buck asks will you drive us on our outing? And Grump says yes. Grump goes around to the drivers side of Tank and gets in while Buck and Zoe walks around to the sliding door. Buck says Tank, can you open your door for the lady? and Tank opens the front door. Buck says not that door Tank and closes it, and says the side door Tank and then the side door opens. Buck says Thank you Tank. Then Buck turns to Zoe and says lets see how you measure up. Stand up here and Zoe backs up to the door jamb. She measures up. If the child is below 40 inches, I will ask Tank for a booster seat. If the child is taller, we will just buckel her in, close the door, and once Buck is in and strapped in, Buck will say lets roll. Then the quad copter will take off and show us driving down Lowell Avenue on our way to Ft. Knox. Off on an Outing The next scenes are of Tank driving through the neighborhood and arriving at Bearno s pizza on Taylorsville Road. Buck and Zoe get out of Tank and head into Bearno s Pizza while Grump heads back to take a nap.
7 Buck and Zoe enter into Bearno s and the restaurant is completely full. Buck looks inside to see if he can find Christy. No sign of her for a few seconds, and then we see her behind the counter getting some drinks. She looks over and she see s Buck and she waves at Buck. Buck looks at Christy. Christy looks at Buck. Buck makes the signal and runs his finger down his nose just like they did in the movie The Sting. Christy see s the signal, and she reaches up and gives the signal back, running her finger down her nose, signaling it s go time. Christy leaves the drinks she was getting, picks up two menus and walks over to Buck and Zoe and says follow me. Buck and Zoe follow Christy into the restaurant and around the corner. After we turn the corner, Christy says just stand behind me for a second, would you please? Thank you and we see Christy do her thing. On the wall, there is this old fashioned cigarette
8 ashtray. Christy pushes down on the lever, and the dish opens up. Christy takes her fingers and sticks them down the ashtray and she pinches up some magic dust. She pulls her hand out of the ashtray, then she looks at her fingers and then she holds her hand up and she flicks the magic dust. Then we see a gigantic P O O F. And then when all the smoke goes away, we see everyone in the restaurant frozen. People have their forks heading for their mouths, people taking a drink out of their drink, people talking to each other, but all frozen in time. Then we hear someone talking. So Christy grabs some more dust, walks around the corner and we see one table that the magic dust didn t hit. There is a mom, dad and kid at the table, and the mom looks up and notices everyone in a frozen state and says honey. Something really
9 weird it going on and right before the dad can turn around, Christy flicks some dust on them and they are frozen before you know it. Christy turns around and walks back towards Buck and Zoe and says, let me get the door for you, and Christy clicks on the ashtray lever 3 times, and a magic door pops open. The door swings open and Buck and Zoe walk into the doorway and Buck says thanks Christy! See you soon! and Buck and Zoe disappear behind the door. Christy pushes the door closed behind them, walks over and pushes the lever down one time, and all of a sudden everyone is back to normal. Buck and Zoe enter into a secret room and it is pitch black. You don t see anything. You can only hear things. I am going to make it seem pretty mysterious and spooky. Buck says Don t move Zoe, it s been a while since I ve been in here but you need to be ready for anything. When you get in behind the magic wall, you have to wait. One time I had to climb up a rope ladder, another time I had to slide down a slide, but something always lights up in the magic wall and that is where we need to go Just then, a light comes on and it is at the bottom of some stairs (the bottom of the stairs where madam Zelda sits will be all black, then Monty will turn on a light and we can see. Buck and Zoe walk down the steps and when we get to the bottom, we pull the hanging beads to the side and we hear BBBUUUCCCCCKKKKKK come from Monty the Magician. Buck shakes
10 Monty s hand and Buck introduces Monty to Zoe. Monty asks Buck and Zoe to sit at the table. Monty says How s Tank. I love that Micro Bus! Buck says Tanks fine. He s outside. Monty says good to know, good to know while looking up mysteriously. Then Monty turns to Zoe and says If Buck brought you here, that means you are interested in becoming a magician, is this right? and Zoe says yes. I do. Monty says that is just great! Do you know what a magician does? and Zoe says I think so. Monty says well, there are many types of magicians. Do you know what kind of magician you want to be? and Zoe says I m not sure. Monty says how about this. There are six different types of magicians. Let s look into the crystal ball and I ll show you all six the different types and you can decide which type you like the best. Then we all look into Monty s crystal ball and we see: the first type: The Stage Illusion Monty tells Zoe that a Stage Illusion is for magicians that perform on a huge stage for large audiences. They usually have assistants and they perform magic with large objects such as a coffin or a cage. Popular Stage magicians are David Coperfield and Siegfried & Roy. The second type is the Escape artist or Escape magician. These magicians deal with a unique ability to escape from confinement. Some magicians escape from straightjackets, some magicians you put handcuff s on and they escape from the handcuffs, some magicians you tie
11 up in ropes and chains and they set themselves free magically, and some even escape from inside a tank of water! Harry Houdini is the greatest of the Escape magicians. The third type of Magician is the Mentalist Magician. Mentalism magic deals with the mind or mental magic. It has become very popular and the magician magically makes people think things or do things that they don t even know they are doing. The most popular type of Mental magic is hypnotizing. The fourth type of Magician is the Street Magician. These magicians usually perform on a sidewalk for people passing by. They perform their magic with items that the people give them and they are completely surrounded by people on the sidewalk. The fifth type of Magician is the Stand-up magician. It usually involves props such as a Magicians hat, rabbits, doves, ropes and scarves. They are the most fun to watch because you think you know EXACTLY what is going to happen and then the magic leaves you baffled as to how they did it! The sixth and Final type of Magician is the Close-up Magician. These magicians usually perform very close-up to the audience and it makes the magic more personal. It generally requires the use of cards, coins and everyday items such as rings, clothes, and cigarettes. Then the camera backs away and Monty explains to Zoe some magicians can do many types of magic. Some magicians concentrate only on one type of magic, and some magicians are good at all types. What I m trying to say is that you don t have to be limited to any one type. Did you like that? Monty says. And Zoe says yes with a smile. Do you still want to become a magician? asks Monty and Zoes says yes again with a smile. Then Monty says That is jjjjjuuuusssssttttt great. In order for you to become a magician, you must first take the Brotherhood of Magicians oath. This oath, should you proceed to take it, allows you to only share your magic with other magicians and never tell anyone else your magic. That is a very important part of being a magician. Do you think you can do it? Zoe says yes. Monty says great. It s easy to take the oath, and once you do, you turn into a true magician. And then a fun thing happens once you learn your first magic trick, the magic starts to flow out of you, and the magic you perform gets better and better and better and the smiles you make get bigger and bigger and bigger! True magicians keep coming up with new magic tricks all the time. You will know if you are a True Magician. The magic just keeps coming to you. Some magicians have to work hard at the magic and some don t. But what I am going to do for you is
12 after the oath, I m going to teach you the best magic trick that you can perform for you parents and your friends, and if you do it right, THEY WILL BE AMAZED! Monty asks Are you ready to take the oath? and Zoes nods her head. Monty says raise your right hand and repeat after me I Zoe.I Zoe..Do hereby swear.do hereby swear.to honor and hold true.to honor and hold true.the oath of the magician.the oath of the magician.and to release to no one.and to release to no one.the origins of illusion.the origins of illusion. Well done Monty says. Congratulations. You are now a full fledged magician! Zoe smiles. Then Monty shows Zoe a magic trick that she can learn and go home and perform for her parents. Monty gets to pick the magic trick. ( I m not sure what magic trick Lamont can teach, but it should be a very simple one. Something that the kids at home can see and learn and then perhaps even try it on their parents and siblings. I m sure Lamont will find a great magic trick to teach.)
13 When it comes time to leave we get up to say good bye, and then Monty says to get out, just go to the top of the stairs and you will find the door. Have a safe trip home and say hi to Tank for me. We say thank you and bye-bye. Buck and Zoe start walking up the steps, but the door never comes. They keep walking up. And they keep walking up. And they keep walking up. Finally after what seemed like forever, they come to the door. And when they open it, they are not at Bearno s pizza any more, they are on the roof of a building down town! Where in the world are we? Buck asks trying to figure things out. Next thing you know, the door behind them closes! oh no Buck says, rushing over to see if it is locked. And it is. So
14 Buck and Katy are up on this roof and they are looking around for a way down, and they find a scaffold. They get on the scaffold and go down one floor and into a window. Once they climb into the window, they move over to an elevator. Then they get on the elevator, but the elevator only goes up. Then they get out on another floor, walk around the corner and see a firepole. They head over to the firepole and Buck and Zoe slide down the firepole, and when they get down they are in a firehouse. They land and then they start walking away throught the fire house and they run into Chief and Captain that were in the Field and the Firehouse episode and they say hi. Buck asks if he can use the firehouse phone and he calls Tank and Grump. Grump answers the phone in Tank and then they come and pick up Buck and Zoe to take them home.
15 When Tank arrives, he pulls in front of the North Oldham fire department and guess what, Quint is there. Quint rolls out and honks his horn to say Hi to Tank. Beep Beep ba beep beep goes Quint and Tank answeres Beep Beep with his horn! We get into Tank and we head home. The show ends after we pull in Uncle FunBucks house and we meet Zoe s Dad/mom and Buck signs off the show. Types of magic
