1 INTERIOR: INSIDE APARTMENT IN THE MORNING Lola is busy putting away records on the shelf in the living room which has a recliner, a coffee table, and a flat 65-inch television. Rachel walks in with her boyfriend Kyle, dropping her things on the floor. Hi, my name is Rachel and this is my boyfriend Kyle! (STARES AT KYLE IN A LOVEY DOVEY WAY) Hi, my name is Lola! (LIFTS EYEBROW UP AND DOWN, CHECKING OUT LOLA) Hello Lola! (SHOUTS ANGRILY) Kyle! Anyway, there are two bedrooms. You can pick which one you want. (WALKS INTO THE BEDROOM) Thanks. C mon Kyle and help me unpack. Fine whatever, I m going to miss you Lola! (SHOUTS ANGRILY) Kyle! KYLE SCATTERS INTO THE BEDROOM AS HE SHUTS THE DOOR BEHIND HIM MAKING LOLA JUMP. That s one complicated couple! CUT TO:
2. 2 INT.THE APARTMENT TWO MONTHS LATER IN THE AFTERNOON. LOLA BLUSHES... I can t believe we ve been living together for 2 months. I know, it seems like just yesterday I was seeing your beautiful face when I walked through the door. RACHEL WALKS IN ON KYLE TRYING TO MAKE A MOVE ON LOLA (SHOUTS TO THE TOP OF HER LUNGS) Kyle! What are you doing?!?! (SAYS SARCASTICALLY) What, I can t watch a movie with a friend, mother? (STANDS UP) Maybe I should go. Maybe, you can sit right back down! (SITS DOWN) Whatever! (RACHEL IS CALM THEN RAISES HER VOICE) Now Kyle, honey could you please explain to me what you were doing!?!? I was trying to know her better... (RACHEL GETTING PISSED OFF AND SCREAMING LOUDER) By trying to make a move, you disgust me.
3. (STANDS UP) Ummm its not my fault that Kyle thinks I m prettier than you! (TAKES OFF HER HOOPS AND THROWS IT ON THE COUCH) Okay, thats it! RACHEL CHARGES TOWARDS LOLA BUT KYLE HOLDS HER BACK (SHOUTS) Kyle, don t touch me! RACHEL PICKS UP HER THINGS OFF THE FLOOR, MARCHES INTO HER ROOM, AND SLAMS THE DOOR. (CALLS SO RACHEL CAN HEAR) So damn rude! (SWINGS DOOR OPEN AND CHARGES TOWARDS LOLA AGAIN) What, what? Fight me right now! (PUSHES RACHEL) What s your problem?!?! (GETS IN LOLA S FACE) Push me one more time and that little pretty face of yours won t be so pretty anymore, try me! Ladies, ladies, calm down you don t have to fight over me... (TAKES OUT PHONE, AND STARTS RECORDING) World star, two hot chicks fighting over me!!!! Shut up Kyle, and put that phone away! Fine, I m sure if it was you having boys fighting over you, you would ve gotten excited!
4. (YELLS AT KYLE) Shut up! KYLE SITS DOWN SPEECHLESS (CALMS DOWN) I thought we were best friends, Lola. Well, you thought wrong... (OPENING THE DOOR) (You know what if you guys love each other so much maybe I should just get out of your hair. I ll stop by tomorrow morning to get my things. (WALKS OUT) Serves her right, right baby... (SAYS SADLY) Sure I guess. 3 EXT: IN THE PARK, IN THE AFTERNOON CUT TO 2 YEARS LATER Kyle and Lola are a couple now; ever since Rachel left, Kyle has never been the same. Kyle and Lola are going for a walk in the park, and they bump into Rachel. Babe, is that Rachel over there? Let s go say hi! No, no, no, please no! LOLA IS ALREADY WALKING OVER TO MEET HER SO KYLE HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO FOLLOW HER Rachel, hi! RACHEL TURNS AROUND AND SEES LOLA BUT IGNORES HER SO LOLA GRABS KYLE S HAND AND WALKS OVER TO HER
5. I don t think you heard me, I said hi! Oh, I definitely heard you, I just don t like you. KYLE COMES OUT FROM BEHIND LOLA AND CATCHES UP WITH RACHEL Is that really you Kyle? (TEARS ROLL DOWN HER EYES) RACHEL GETS UP TO HUG KYLE, EVER SINCE RACHEL LEFT KYLE SHE S NEVER BEEN THE SAME EITHER. KYLE AND RACHEL HUG FOR A REALLY LONG TIME UNTIL LOLA BREAKS IT UP. Calm down Lola,we re just trying to catch up! (IGNORES RACHEL AND CONTINUES TALKING TO KYLE) It s been so long, I ve missed you so much. Me too, how could I ever forget about you? KYLE AND RACHEL HUGS AGAIN FOLLOWED BY TEARS FROM BOTH OF THEM (TRYS TO PULL KYLE AWAY BUT HE HAS A STRONG GRIP ON RACHEL) I think it s time for us to go babe. (CONTINUES TALKING TO RACHEL) Maybe we should meet up for coffee sometime! Great, how about this Friday at 3! Great, I ll see you then! LOLA HAS A SHOCKED EXPRESSION ON HER FACE, TOO SUPRISED TO SPEAK
6. (HUGS KYLE ONE MORE TIME AND KISSES HIM ON THE CHEEK) It was great seeing you Kyle! 4 INT: BACK AT THE APARTMENT IN THE EVNING (SCREAMING AT KYLE) You were flirting with her Kyle, what is wrong with you? She s just a friend, we were just catching up! I don t want you talking to her! (SCREAMS AT LOLA) I decide what I want to do with my life, okay. Let s end it at that, I m meeting her Friday and that is my final decision. (PISSED OFF, YELLING THEN CALMING DOWN) Whatever, fine, fine! 5 INT: FRIDAY AT THE COFFEE SHOP We haven t done this in forever, this is so nice! I know, so how s it been going? It s been going good, I feel like I ve done a pretty good job of keeping myself together. Me too. (SMILES AND RESTS HAND ON TABLE, RACHEL RESTS HERS ON TOP OF HIS) The truth is I never stopped loving you!
7. RACHEL LOOKING THE OTHER WAY, STARTS TO CRY SO SHE PICKS UP HER THINGS AND LEAVES.KYLE BREATHES HARD,PAYS FOR THE COFFEE AND LEAVES. 6 INT: BACK AT THE APARTMENT AFTER NOON How did it go babe? Okay, I guess...she ditched me! Looks like she never changed, its such a shame! But, something s up. She was acting very jittery, like she was being stalked. You don t know anything about this, do you Lola? Of course not, babe, what kind of person do you think I am? (LOOKS AT LOLA SUSPICIOUSLY NOT BELIEVING A WORD THAT CAME OUT OF HER MOUTH) Okay, I m going to go change, I ll be right back. WHILE KYLE CHANGES HIS PHONE FALLS OUT OF HIS POCKET AND HE REALIZES HE S MISSED 6 MESSAGES FROM RACHEL SAYING "MEET ME IN THE PARK RIGHT NOW, IT S SOMETHING IMPORTANT ABOUT LOLA!"KYLE WALKS OUT OF THE BEDROOM ABOUT TO WALK OUT OF THE FRONT DOOR LOLA INTERRUPTING HIM. Where you going babe? I m going to meet up with Rachel. Why and where? Don t worry about it. (WALKS OUT THE DOOR)
8. (FUSTRATED) Damn it! 7 EXT: IN THE PARK, IN THE AFTERNOON I m so glad you could make it, we have to go somewhere secret, we can t be out in the open like this. Follow me! KYLE FOLLOWS RACHEL INTO A TREEHOUSE. KYLE DOESN T REALIZE THAT THEY BUILT IT TOGETHER WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE KIDS What s so important you need to tell me about Lola? 1, I am sorry for ditching you at the coffee shop, and 2, I have a perfectly good explanation for it. And that is... It was Lola, she was standing outside the coffee shop with a knife in her hand threatening to kill me, so I had to leave; and ever since we met at the park 4 days ago, I ve been receiving threatening letters. (SURPRISED) What, are you serious?!?! Would I lie about this? That explains why she was acting so suspicious and asking so many questions. (NODS HER HEAD)
9. Lets get out of here! Good idea! Once they reach to the bottom they see Lola with a bunch of buff men surrounding her. How did you find us? Oh, I have a tracking device in your phone. You re out of your mind, you were always jealous of me and Kyle. You couldn t stand seeing us a couple! You re right, but you don t have the whole story right Rachel Brown or Kyle Johnson! Wait, I never told you my last name! Me neither! You guys really tricked yourself into remembering that didn t happen. Lola Nordoff, is that really you from elementary school!? Yes it is, remember the parson nobody liked, the nerd of the school! Oh yeah, I remember you, you asked me out and I said no. Then later that same day, Rachel asked me out and I said yes. Later that same day, you said you would hunt me down forever!
10. (GULPS) Perfect, you do remember me! Remember the first day we "met" I paid the landlord 50 bucks to put me in the same apartment with you guys. TO BE CONTINUED...
