2 Don Knox, CPP, CITRMS Don is a Security and Crisis Management Analyst with Caterpillar. Don coordinates various aspects of Caterpillar s global security program including crisis management, travel security, risk intelligence and executive protection. Previously Don was part of State Farm Insurance s Corporate Security and Emergency Management Team. Don also worked in retail loss prevention for Best Buy as well as security and crime prevention for the Illinois State University PD and Peoria Park District PD. Don is past Chair of the Crisis Management and Business Continuity Council and current Vice Chair of the Houses of Worship Security Committee. Don is a graduate of Illinois State University and is a CPP and CITRMS.

3 Basil Steele, CPP Basil Steele is the Sr. Manager for the Nuclear Security Program Office in the Security Systems and Technology Center at Sandia National Laboratories. Basil Steele joined Sandia National Laboratories in June of He served as a manager for video assessment technology in the security systems area and in 1986 was promoted to department manager of the Intrusion Detection Systems Technology division, which included exterior sensors, interior sensors, video technology, image processing, and control & display systems. In 1996, he became Program Manager for the Department of Energy Security Program. In 2001 Basil became the Sr. Manager for the Department of Defense Weapons Security Program Office which included all DoD physical security projects and Defense Program funded R&D.

4 Loretta Woodward Veney, CPP Loretta is a security management professional with more than twentyeight years experience in the industry. She has managed operations for both contract and proprietary security organizations. In 1998, Loretta created Superior Training Solutions, a company focused on development and performance improvement. She teaches security courses for all levels of security personnel to ensure they improve their skills in current positions, as well as develop skills for future positions. She is also a Security Management professor for several universities. Loretta has served many roles in ASIS at the Chapter, Regional and International levels, including a six-year term on the Board of Directors. Loretta received her CPP in 1992 and holds a BA in Political Science and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice/Forensic Science.

5 Leslie Cole, CPP, CST Les is a security professional who owns and operates his own security consultancy Leslie Cole Associates. Les has a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and training in 53 areas of Public Safety from 23 institutions and organizations. Has served as a liability expert in approximately 1,100 cases and in the process has testified or deposed in over 600 cases in 25 States and DC. Les is a CPP and CST (Certified Security Trainer). A member of the Quarter Century Club of ASIS, he is also past Chair of both the Crime and Loss Prevention and Educational Institutions Security Council.

6 Ray Van Hook, CPP, CIPM Ray is a Security Manager for Labs and has over 20 years of security and safety experience in health care institutions, museums, convention centers, commercial real estate and entertainment venues. He has experience with major construction projects, video surveillance/monitoring, access control, security alarm systems, emergency planning/management and business continuity. Ray is a CPP, CIPM (Certified Institutional Protection Manager) and received his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Lewis University. He is past Chair of the Museum, Library and Cultural Property Council and founding member of the African American Security Executives.

7 Chiquita Leak Chiquita is an author, speaker and export marketing consultant. She is president of Safety & Security Export Solutions, a security research and export marketing consultancy firm that specializes in assisting clients achieve market entry, expansion and long term business success in Africa. Previously Chiquita co-founded St. John Security, an electronic security firm in West Africa. As Managing Director she coordinated the company s marketing and training. Her fifteen-year security career began in retail loss prevention and store management in the US and the UK. Chiquita has served in multiple positions with the IOBSE including 1 st Vice President and Media Relations Chairperson and is responsible for coordinating the annual IOBSE networking reception. She has also served as Executive Councilor and Media Relations Coordinator for World Security Federation.
