Currently, Mr. Telang is the Chairman of Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Limited, Kennametal India Limited and TEMA India Limited. His prior job before Tatas was with M/s Larsen & Toubro Limited for three years. He has been conferred the covetted Distinguished Alumnus by both the institutes in their respective golden jubilee years. He joined the house of Tatas through the prestigious Tata Administrative Service in 1972 and retired in June 2012 after four decades of meritorious service as the Managing Director (India operations), Tata Motors Limited.
