Growth waves The 2016 METSTRADE show will be the 29th edition of an exhibition that continues to go from strength to strength. Having successfully navigated the turbulent waters in which the maritime sector recently found itself, this year is set to top even last year s record in terms of exhibitors and visitors. Country Pavilions The 2015 event featured an impressive total of 18 Country Pavilions. Organised by RAI Amsterdam in association with ICOMIA, these pavilions are the first port of call for exhibitors who are members of the different marine industry associations represented by ICOMIA. Winning a DAME is the ultimate honour for companies and innovators, and all nominations for the award are seen as trendsetters for the next generation of product development. Boat Builder Awards Launched in 2015, the Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement are organised by METSTRADE and Time Inc. Ltd, publishers of International Boat Industry magazine (IBI). It increases the engagement of boatbuilders with the METSTRADE experience and the marine equipment supply community. The six award domains were chosen specifically to highlight crucial areas for suppliers. There are three stages of innovation: to devise an innovative product or solution; to produce it in a high standard; and then to design and present it in a way that assures long-term success.
