4 Biographies: Nicola Mendelsohn CBE Nicola is Vice President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa for Facebook. In addition, she is currently the co-chair of the Creative Industries Council and was the first female President of the IPA. In 2015 she was awarded a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for services to the creative industries in the UK. Martin McDonnell Since 2000 Martin has built several successful businesses delivering best in class 3D visualisation and interactive digital presentation. His business Soluis recently won Innovate UK s IC Tomorrow competition to develop augmented reality (AR) software. He is a recognised thought leader in the development of shared immersive solutions for business. Lisa Pan Lisa worked as a presenter in CCTV and Beijing TV where she interviewed leading entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. She then became an angel investor. She founded Koala Fund in 2012 and CMC Fund in She is currently the president of Shanghai Zhongji enterprise group and director of Fukong interactive entertainment and Jagex game entertainment. Carlos de Arriba Carlos is Business Development Lead for EMEA at Facebook Oculus, working with operators, retailers, enterprises and other partners to grow the VR category. Prior to Facebook, Carlos held several senior positions within Samsung Electronics in Korea and London, including Head of Connected Offerings and Head of B2B. Toby Coffey As Head of Digital Development, Toby is responsible for the creative and technical development of the digital interfaces between the National Theatre and its audiences, including online, UX, cross-platform, app development, digital publishing, interactive installations, AR, VR, 360 films, transmedia and documentary production. Gina Fegan Gina is Director of Culture for Zhong Ze Culture Investment Holdings Ltd and the China UK Culture Group. She is responsible for film production in the UK and China, and creating an investment pipeline in the entertainment industries. She is on the advisory committee for Digital Hollywood, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and a member of BAFTA. Fiona Kilkelly Fiona leads on Creative Industries at the Knowledge Transfer Network, the UK s innovation network, supported by Innovate UK. She is founder of Immerse UK, a new, cross-sector network for organisations that are interested and invested in how AR and VR can help drive productivity, social and economic growth. Susanna Dinnage Susanna was appointed President and Managing Director of Discovery Networks UK and Ireland and Chief Content Officer, International in October She is responsible for the management and strategic direction of Discovery s business in the market and for leading the International Content Group. Sarah Golding Sarah is CEO and Partner of CHI & Partners, one of the UK s leading advertising and communications agencies. In March, Sarah became President of the IPA. She is an active member of WACL and for the last five years has been voted by Campaign magazine as one of the industry s top 10 account people. Matthew Drinkwater Matthew works at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, where he heads up the Innovation Agency. He has overseen some of the most groundbreaking developments in Augmented and Virtual Reality that London Fashion Week has experienced. Matthew was named amongst the Top 15 people in UK tech by BBC3. Charlie Redmayne Charlie was appointed CEO of HarperCollins UK in He first joined as Group Digital Director in He left in 2011 to set up Pottermore, JK Rowling s digital publishing business. At the start of his career he founded and ran the media buying company, RCL Communications, and entertainment business Blink TV. Tim Bleakley Specialises in media brand building and turnarounds, with first-hand experience of leading businesses through private equity consolidation and exit. Tim has held senior roles in TV, radio and outdoor. He led the Ocean Group through an MBO backed by LDC and LDC's equity sale in 2014 to Searchlight Capital. Katie Grayson Katie has over 18 years experience as an interactive producer and executive producer. In 2009 she became one of the first agency producers to use a realtime game engine to create a commercial animation project. At Inition she has produced virtual reality projects for clients across all sectors. Fred Schmidt MBE Fred has spent 30 years in the entertainment and technology industry across the USA and Europe. He is director of International Affairs at Capital Factory and manages Touchdown Austin, a soft-landing program for foreign companies seeking to expand into the US market. Fred is Co-Founder/CEO of a group of innovative retail businesses. Matt Morgan Matt has 15 years experience in the media industry. He joined UM in 2005, working across Microsoft, MasterCard and Bacardi. He has since held various digital and strategic roles and returned to UM in 2017 as Managing Partner after three years as EMEA Strategy Director for IPG Mediabrands.

Previously at Proximity, during which time the agency won over 200 international and national awards. She is passionate about doing the right thing by consumers and creating brand experiences that start with consumers lives not a media channel. Tanya Samuel MBE Tanya is co-md of Future Fact, which specialises in creating entertainment formats that promote the convergence of television, mobile devices, digital and 360, developing ideas that are interactive, immersive and socially responsible. She ran regeneration initiative (New Deal for Communities) and was awarded an MBE for services to the community. Ruxandra Dariescu Ruxandra has spent almost 2 decades heading up successful global product teams in a variety of industries at Convergys, FICO, Wolters Kluwer, easymarket and Inatech Glencore. At Spirit AI, she is the product manager of Ally, an AI product dedicated to safeguarding online communities against abusive behaviour, grooming and other unwanted activities. Adam Collins Adam s been creating integrated campaign work for over a decade. Starting out at Razorfish he picked up awards for the BHF and NSPCC. He was named NABS Centurion of the year 2015 before joining R/GA as Associate Creative Director where he s been driving inventive creative work across accounts including Guinness, Magnum and Rexona. Adrian Leu Adrian is CEO of INITION, a cutting edge, immersive media company. Adrian has spent the last 20 years in different media, software and advanced technology companies, from small start-ups to large public companies in positions ranging from Head of Innovation to CTO to MD and sometimes also as an investor. Russ Shaw Russ is the Founder of Tech London Advocates and Global Tech Advocates groups of 5,000 senior leaders in the tech community, created to champion and accelerate the growth of London s technology sector. He was appointed a London Tech Ambassador for the Mayor of London in 2014 and was also Chairman of the Marketing Group of Great Britain. John McVay John is Chief Executive of Pact. He has been involved in programme since John is currently Chairman of the Creative Diversity Network, Chairman of the UK s digital single market campaign and is the UK rights spokesperson for the Creative Coalition Campaign. Tim Hollingsworth OBE Tim is the Chief Executive of the British Paralympic Association. He also served as Secretary General for ParalympicsGB at the Rio 2016, Sochi 2014 and London 2012 Paralympic Games. Tim is a Board Director of the Youth Sport Trust and the National Paralympic Heritage Trust. He received an OBE in Peter Oborn Peter was elected as a trustee and board member of the RIBA in 2011 and serves as Vice President International. He is also appointed Built Environment Expert by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and is elected Vice President Europe by the Commonwealth Association of Architects. Matthew Frank Matthew is CEO of TRX (TheRightsXchange) an online deal-making tool that allows buyers/sellers of TV content to transact more quickly and efficiently. It s backed by Sky Ventures and Channel 4 and went into live beta last August in Asia and CEE, with the rest of the world due to follow this year. Andy Payne Andy is an experienced video games entrepreneur of 33 years working with many top global studios & publishers. He is a board advisor at Boss a Studios and a founder of GamesAid, AppyNation and games charity, Special Effect. He is also a founder of the UK Crowdfunding Association and chair of The British Esports Association. Ed Parham Ed joined Space Syntax as an Associate in October 2006, and was made Associate Director in He became a chartered Architect in 2005, with particular experience in the masterplanning and retail sectors. During his time at Space Syntax, Ed has worked on a wide range of projects with a geographical focus on China and the Middle East. David Flynn David is Co-founder of Youngest Media, a global entertainment studio creating, producing and distributing formats across TV, digital video and apps and games. Productions include innovative dating series Game of Clones. Previously as CCO at Endemol Shine Group UK, he created and executive produced BAFTA winning The Million Pound Drop. Imre Jele Imre is an expert in game design, AI mechanics, procedural content, narrative, cross-media and audience engagement. He s known for promoting innovative and collaborative creative approaches. He s Co-founder and Creator-in-Chief of Bossa Studios winner of multiple BAFTA and other awards, creator of Surgeon Simulator and Worlds Adrift. Peter Runacres Peter joined Argent in He is part of the commercial team and is managing delivery of Google s UK headquarters at King s Cross. Peter works closely with the Google project team on the design and delivery of this 1 million sqft building. Peter s background is in Architecture. He has worked in the UK, Asia and the Middle East We are expecting as much change in the next 20 years as in the preceding 60.

6 Euan Mills Euan is an Urban Designer with 15 years experience working in the built environment industry. For the last five years he has worked in City Hall s planning team providing design advice to the Mayor of London. He has recently joined Future Cities Catapult as their Urban Design and Planning Lead. Caroline Norbury Caroline is the founding Chief Executive of Creative England and dedicated to championing the creative industries. Creative England invests in and supports creative ideas, talent and businesses in film, TV, games and digital media. Caroline also sits on the board of Crowdfunder as a non-executive director. Tim Davie Tim has been Chief Executive of BBC Worldwide since His posts at the BBC included Director of BBC Audio & Music and Director of the BBC s Marketing, Communications & Audiences division. In April, 2017 Tim was appointed to the new BBC Executive Board. He is the Chairman of Comic Relief, Trustee of the Tate and Trustee of the Royal Television Society. Haiyan Zhang Haiyan is a designer, technologist and maker of things. She is Innovation Director at Microsoft Research Cambridge. Inventing cutting-edge technology to enable new Connected Play experiences. She is also Co-Founder and Design Lead for the innovation platform, OpenIDEO, with over 50,000 users worldwide solving challenges for social good.. Steve May-Russell Steve is a leading Industrial Design and Innovation Consultant and the Managing Director of Smallfry. Steve has represented the creative industries on the UK Trade & Investment s bi-lateral partnerships in the Far East and is regularly invited to speak to international audiences on Innovation and using Design to develop brands. Sean Murphy Sean heads up Evidential, a leading expert witness company who are pioneers in the use of Electronic Presentation of Evidence (EPE) in the Criminal Justice System. Evidential was chosen in Creative England s Top 50 tech disrupt companies 2017 with Sean being chosen as one of ten Future Leaders by Creative England. Miles Galliford Miles is CEO and founder of Beatroot Music, a web-based platform created to help record labels, music publishers and anyone who manages a large catalogue of songs to compete in the digital world. Beatroot automatically generates metadata, e.g genre, era, BPM and sentiment, for songs and captures this data in shareable web service form. London Contemporary Ballet Theatre Company Founded in 2015 by Artistic Director, Rose Alice, LCBT is committed to bringing original, innovative and thought provoking performances to audiences globally. It is at the forefront of contemporary ballet in the UK and is a proud advocate of equality and human rights movement internationally. June Sarpong MBE June is an established TV Presenter, who has enjoyed a 20-year career, in which she has become one of the most recognisable faces of British television, as well as being one of the UK s most intelligent and dynamic hosts, equally comfortable interviewing politicians, celebrities and members of the public. Annie Warburton Annie is Creative Director at the Crafts Council, where she leads on exhibitions, education, innovation and research. She has led artist and creative development as CEO of ArtsMatrix and Creative Skillset, working with government, the BBC, Channel 4 and the British Fashion Council. Sarah Ellis Sarah is an award winning producer currently working as Director of Digital Development for the Royal Shakespeare Company to explore new artistic initiatives and partnerships. In 2016 she was awarded The Hospital Club and Creatives Industries award for cross industry collaboration for her work on The Tempest. Nicolas Pickaerts Nicolas Pickaerts is the Ecommerce Director of MATCHESFASHION.COM, the global luxury-shopping destination for men and women. Renowned and respected for the relationships it builds with clients and the partnerships it builds with brands, MATCHESFASHION.COM offers a modern edit of over 450 established and new generation designers. Imogen Heap Imogen Heap blurs the boundaries between pure art form and creative entrepreneurship.
