2 Apache County Joe Dedman Sheriff Dedman grew up in the Navajo community of Nazlini, Arizona. Nazlini is about 15 miles north of Ganado in Northeastern part of Arizona. His mother passed away when he was young and he suddenly had to take on added responsibilities. Sheriff Dedman is the third oldest of three sisters and one brother. As a young man, Sheriff Dedman learned the value of hard work and became a caring family member. As a high school student, he managed to earn money which he used to buy clothes or goodies for his siblings. All that would prepare him for his 27-year career in law enforcement a career that would often put him among dignitaries such as U.S. President Bill Clinton, U.S. Vice President Albert Gore, U.S. Senator John McCain, and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson. He supervised their security during their visits to the Navajo Nation. Sheriff Dedman began his career as a police communications operator and went onto the police academy where he trained to become a Navajo police officer. He went onto the State of New Mexico to become a certified peace officer. Once he received that certification, he went onto to get certified in Tucson, Arizona. When he received his Arizona certification, he returned to Navajo. For the next two years, he worked for the Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety and was stationed in Crownpoint, New Mexico patrolling the area. Sheriff Joseph Dedman Jr., is married and has three children, and two grandchildren. He can often be seen riding his 1995 Harley Davidson around Window Rock area.
3 Cochise County Mark Dannels Sheriff Mark J. Dannels is a 29 year veteran of law enforcement. He holds a Master s Degree in Criminal Justice Management from Aspen University and is a Certified Public Manager from Arizona State University. He has over 3000 hours of law enforcement training in his portfolio. He attended Disney s Leadership and Executive Training programs and is a graduate of the Rural Executive Management Institute. He began his law enforcement career in 1984 after serving a successful tour in the U.S. Army. He progressed through the ranks with the Cochise County Sheriff s Office to the position of Deputy Commander after working numerous specialty assignments and leadership roles. He was instrumental in the creation of the Southeastern Arizona D.U.I. Task Force and the Special Operations Unit. He was instrumental in proposing and being awarded over 1 million dollars in grant funding to assist the Sheriff s Office. He was appointed by former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano to the D.U.I. Oversight Commission and later elected to the position of Chairman. In 2008, he retired from Arizona law enforcement to accept an opportunity to serve as the Police Chief for the City of Coquille in Oregon to build upon his leadership base. During his tenure as police chief, Sheriff Dannels was instrumental in solving a decade old murder case involving a local teenager that help restore community trust. Additionally, he revitalized professionalism and standardization within the department. During Sheriff Dannels time in Oregon, he volunteered every 3 months and worked as a reserve deputy sheriff for the Cochise County Sheriff s Office by flying back to Arizona to fulfill his commitment and required hours. After a successful endeavor as Police Chief, Sheriff Dannels moved back to Arizona in 2011 to rejoin the Cochise County Sheriff s Office to pursue his goal of being sheriff.
4 Coconino County Bill Pribil Sheriff Pribil has over thirty-seven years of experience in law enforcement and service to the community. He began his career with the Coconino County Sheriff s Office in Sheriff Pribil is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a bachelor s degree in Police Science and a master s degree in Public Administration. He also is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation s National Academy, the National Sheriff s Institute, and the International Chiefs of Police Leadership in Police Organizations as well as many other professional classes and seminars. Sheriff Pribil is a member of professional organizations including the FBI National Academy Graduates Association, National Sheriff s Association, National Corrections Association, National Jail Association, and the Western States Sheriff s Association. He serves on the board of the Coconino County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, Citizens Against Substance Abuse (CASA), the Governor s Alliance Against Drugs, the Coconino County Meth Task Force, the Northern Arizona Metro Drug Task Force, the Coconino County Juvenile Court Community Advisory Board, the Arizona North Region Homeland Security Advisory Council, and the Arizona Public Safety Communications Commission.
5 Gila County Adam Shepherd Adam completed 27 ½ years with the Sheriff s Office before retiring to run for the office of Sheriff. During his career, Adam served as patrol deputy, criminal investigator, narcotics task force agent, patrol sergeant, and patrol lieutenant. He was serving as the county s Undersheriff at the time of his retirement, a post that oversaw all field operations and was third in the succession of command for the office. Adam is a graduate of NAU with a Bachelor s of Applied Science Degree in Public Agency Service (BASPAS) with a major of Public Agency Administration, Summa Cum Laude. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command. Adam has obtained training to become a trainer for the Sheriff s Office to train other personnel in various aspects of the Office such as: General instructor, Firearms instructor, FATS instructor (discrimination shooting), Baton instructor, Public safety diver, Field Training officer, Search and rescue coordinator, Incident command system, also Administrator and Computer instructor for GCSO UNIX system to name a few. Adam is married to a lovely woman, Jessica, for 26+ years. They have three wonderful daughters, Vanessa, Lori and Nicole. The girls have grown up and moved out on their own being productive individuals in their communities. Adam and Jessica also have two beautiful grandkids of whom they love very much.
6 Graham County Preston PJ Allred Preston J. Allred (P.J.) was raised in Thatcher, Arizona. He attended Thatcher High School. He married Cammie Johnson of Pima, Arizona. They have 5 kids. P.J. graduated from Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy on July He worked for the Arizona Department of Corrections, the Safford Police Department for over 20 years and has been the Graham County Sheriff for the past 4 years. He enjoys spending time with his family doing family events and cattle ranching.

8 La Paz County John Drum Sheriff John Drum was born in Long Beach, California and spent a large portion of his childhood in Venezuela. His family returned to Long Beach, California where he graduated from Long Beach High School and later married his high school sweetheart, Bunzy. After being Honorably Discharged by the United Stated Army, he worked with his family business and during this time he attended the Long Beach City College where he earned a Degree in Police Administration and Supervision. After graduating from the Los Angeles Police Academy and obtaining his Peace Officer Standards and Training, Basic, Intermediate and Advanced P.O.S.T. Certificates; he joined the Los Angeles Police Department where he trained in many areas while moving through the ranks which consisted of: VICE, Investigation of Auto Theft, Burglary, Robbery, Homicide, Law Enforcement intelligence Unit (LEIU) and Narcotics Investigations and eventually retired as a Detective Supervisor. He then moved his family to Parker, Arizona in 1983 where he was hired as the Parker Magistrate Judge for the Town of Parker and held that title for six (6) years. He then was elected as the La Paz County Parker Justice Court Judge and retired from that position after 12 years of service. While serving as Judge for Parker Magistrate and La Paz County Judicial Court, he completed an Arizona College of Law at University of Arizona and Arizona State University; completed the Judicial School of Arizona and because he was a mentor judge for the State of Arizona, he trained newly elected judges. In 2008, he was elected as a La Paz County Board of Supervisor and served one (1) four year term. n November of 2012, he was elected as the Sheriff of La Paz County and took office on January 2, He has many years of Law Enforcement and Judicial experience and looks forward to providing the best service to the citizens of La Paz County. He is especially looking forward to meeting and working with the agencies throughout the State of Arizona to help provide the best possible law enforcement for the people.
9 Maricopa County Joe Arpaio Sheriff Arpaio has been the Maricopa County Sheriff since After serving in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953, and as a Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas, NV, police officer for almost five years, Arpaio went on to build a federal law enforcement career and a reputation for fighting crime and drug trafficking around the world. He began his career as a federal narcotics agent, establishing a stellar record in infiltrating drug organizations from Turkey to the Middle East to Mexico, Central, and South America to cities around the U.S. His expertise and success led him to top management positions around the world with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). He concluded his remarkable federal career as head of the DEA for Arizona. In 1992, Arpaio successfully campaigned to become the Sheriff of Maricopa County. Since then he has been reelected to an unprecedented five 4-year terms. During his tenure as Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arpaio has consistently earned high public approval ratings. On a personal note, Sheriff Arpaio and his wife Ava have been married for over 54 years and have two children, both residing in the Phoenix area. The Arpaios have four grandchildren.

11 Navajo County Kelly KC Clark Sheriff Kelly KC Clark has been with the Navajo County Sheriff s Office since He attended the Northland Pioneer Reserve Academy in 1987 and graduated in July of He then worked as a reserve deputy until hired full time in April of 1989 where his first post of duty was patrol deputy in Winslow AZ. Since that time Sheriff Clark has had assignments in patrol throughout Navajo County. Sheriff Clark has worked his way up through the ranks serving as Patrol Sergeant, Sergeant over multi agency Narcotics Task Force Major Crimes Apprehension Team (MCAT) and as Lieutenant supervising Criminal investigations inclusive of Medical Examiner Investigations, Internal Affairs, MCAT. Sheriff Clark is a graduate of the FBI National Academy 220th session, as well as The Drug Unit Commanders Academy facilitated by the Drug Enforcement Administration in Quantico, VA. Sheriff Clark has served in numerous leadership positions throughout the State of Arizona to include President of the Arizona Narcotics Officers Association, President of the Arizona County Attorney/ Sheriff s Association, as well as President, Arizona Sheriff s Association (for 3 terms). Sheriff Clark was named Sheriff of the Year by the WETIP foundation. Sheriff Clark was appointed by the Governor of Arizona to the Northern Regional Advisory Committee for Homeland Security and now serves as the Chairman, Appointed by the Governor as a Commissioner on the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission, Serves as a member of the sub-committee for Budget and Finance for the Arizona High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) as well as Executive Board member. Having been a career Cop Sheriff Clark was elected Sheriff January 1, 2009 and is in his currently serving his seventh year as Sheriff in his second term.
12 Pima County Clarence Dupnik A veteran of over 50 years in local law enforcement, Clarence W. Dupnik has served as the Sheriff of Pima County, Arizona, since his appointment in February County voters endorsed the choice nine months later by electing him to his first four-year term and ratified that decision by re-electing him six additional times. Born on January 11, 1936, in Helena, Texas, he was raised in Bisbee, Arizona, and later attended the University of Arizona in Tucson. He graduated from Keeler Institute in Chicago, the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville, and the Urban Affairs Executive Institute at M.I.T. He joined the Tucson Police Department in 1958, and subsequently was promoted through the ranks from Patrol Officer to Major in charge of Field Operations. He left TPD in 1977 to accept the position of Chief Deputy with the Pima County Sheriff's Department, a job he held until his appointment as Sheriff by the Pima County Board of Supervisors 2½ years later. Clarence Dupnik remains active in many professional, civic, and fraternal organizations, including the National Sheriffs Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He has been the long-time Arizona representative with Operation Alliance. He is a board member of the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission, the Arizona Law Enforcement Officer Advisory Council, and the Arizona Peace Officers Standards & Training Board. He is an advisory board member of the National Narcotics Interdiction System as well as an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Tucson.
13 Pinal County Paul Babeu Sheriff Babeu won his first term in Sheriff Babeu is originally from Massachusetts, where he served as Headmaster & Executive Director of DeSisto Private Boarding School. He was frequently recognized for his effectiveness in personnel management and fiscal abilities. He also served in local government as a city council member and four years as Berkshire County Commissioner. Sheriff Babeu served for over 20 years in the Army National Guard, entering as a Private/E-2 and retiring with the rank of Major. During his tenure he served a tour in Iraq and spent 16 months deployed in Arizona as a Commander with Operation Jump Start (OJS), Southwest Border Mission. Major Babeu commanded over 700 men and women on the United States border with Mexico, reducing illegal entries by 94%. Sheriff Babeu started his law enforcement career as a Police Officer for the City of Chandler, AZ. He graduated from the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy as the #1 overall police recruit and voted by his fellow officers as the class exemplary officer. Sheriff Babeu has been awarded two Life Saving Medals in the performance of his duties as a Patrolman. Sheriff Babeu s education includes an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement, Bachelor s Degree in History/Political Science and a Master of Public Administration, Summa Cum Laude.
14 Santa Cruz County Tony Estrada Sheriff Tony Estrada was first sworn into office on January 1, Sheriff Estrada was born in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, immigrated with his family as an infant and grew up in Nogales, Arizona. He started his law enforcement career as a dispatcher with the Nogales Police Department and worked his way up through the ranks, retiring as a captain in Over the years, Estrada has been active in organizing law enforcement responses to the increasing drug trafficking in the border region and is a staunch advocate of improved officer training, utilizing advanced technology and keeping abreast of the ever-changing needs of law enforcement. Some of his accomplishments include overseeing the construction of the new Sheriff's Office and detention center, helping the county implement the 911 response system, expanding the Santa Cruz County Metro Task Force, establishing the School Resource Officer program in Rio Rico and establishing substations in Rio Rico and Tubac. Estrada is an active volunteer in many community based organizations including the Nogales Rotary, United Way of Santa Cruz County, the Boys and Girls Club, Way of the Heart Promotora Institute and the Nogales Elks Lodge.
15 Yavapai County Scott Mascher Sheriff Mascher is a 28-year Yavapai County Sheriff s Office veteran. After three years of being a Reserve he joined the Sheriff s Office as a full-time paid Certified Deputy in He worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Patrol of the Verde Valley, Camp Verde and Sedona areas prior to their incorporation. Sheriff Mascher is one of the founding members of the multiple agency drug task force known as P.A.N.T. He promoted through the ranks, supervising both field operations (patrol) and criminal investigations (major crimes and homicides) as a sergeant and lieutenant. After 25 years, he retired at the rank of Commander in charge of the Law Enforcement Services Division. Upon retirement he determined he may not have accomplished all his goals within the law enforcement professional and after receiving several offers in various forms to continue in his career, Sheriff Mascher accepted the position of Chief Deputy back with the Sheriff s Office. As Chief Deputy, he was directly responsible for improving the state of readiness of the entire Yavapai County Sheriff s Office, both Law Enforcement and Detention Services Divisions. On June 3, 2011, the Yavapai County Board of Supervisor unanimously appointed Scott to the position of Sheriff and in November 2012, running unopposed, he became the elected Sheriff of Yavapai County. Scott has a Degree in Administration of Justice; is a graduate of the FBI National Academy; the State of Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy, is a Certified instructor in Ethics in law Enforcement, Homicide Investigations, and Use of Force, along with being a certified FAA pilot.
16 Yuma County Leon Wilmot Leon N. Wilmot began his career in law enforcement in 1985 as a reserve for the Yuma County Sheriff's Office, while assigned to the H&HS, Crash Fire Rescue Unit at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. Wilmot was hired by the Sheriff s Office as a full time deputy in 1987, after completing four years of service in the United States Marine Corps. Wilmot s first job as a public safety deputy was the start of a 27 year career of public service. In 2009, he was appointed by Governor Jan Brewer to the Arizona Department of Homeland Security Regional Advisory Council for the South Region. On July 1, 2012, Wilmot was reappointed by the Governor to this position. Wilmot s law enforcement education is expansive--graduating from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in 1994, the FBI National Academy in 2000 and the Drug Enforcement Administration Supervisor s Course in In addition, in 2007 he attained the Professional Development designation through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Wilmot is also a graduate of the Arizona State University receiving his certification as a Certified Public Manager. Leon Wilmot is married to Ruth Wilmot and one of his hobbies is restoring old cars. His most recent project was the restoration of a 1929 Model "A", Model 290A standard police vehicle.
