3 Tina Knowles-Lawson Businesswoman, Fashion Designer, Art Collector and Philanthropist Tina Knowles-Lawson is a Fashion Designer who has been featured in a slew of publications including Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Harper s Bazaar, L official, InSyle and Sports Illustrated. Tina was a designer and stylist for the superstar group Destiny s Child, designing original garments for the group s tours, for magazine shoots and for television appearances, including the VMAs, BET Awards, and the Grammys. She has also designed for Beyoncé s tours and television performances, including the Academy Awards. Tina, along with her daughter, Beyoncé, created three very successful clothing lines: House of Deréon, Deréon which range included shoes, handbags, lingerie, hosiery, a kids line and bedding and the Miss Tina line, which sold exclusively at Walmart. The line boasted fit and fashion at an affordable price. She has hosted a show on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) and has shown her fashion on top television shows, including Good Morning America, The View, the Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Hollywood Access Live, Tyra and Ellen. Tina designed costumes for a number of hit movies including Dreamgirls, Pink Panther, Austin Powers in Goldmember, Obsessed and Cadillac Records. Passionate about her philanthropic endeavors, Tina, her family and Destiny s Child member Kelly Rowland along with St. John s Church have built and established a center for young people known as The Knowles-Rowland Center for Youth located in Houston, Texas. In addition, the Knowles family established The Survivor Foundation in 2005 and co-sponsored the building of a transitional living center for individuals in need of temporary shelter and housing in Houston, Texas named Knowles-Temenos Place Apartments. In 2010, Tina partnered with Beyoncé to create the Beyoncé Cosmetology Center at Phoenix House in Brooklyn, New York as a resource to empower women while providing them the life skills that would give them hope and a means of support after leaving the center. She has received many awards including the prestigious Ace Award, the International Global Leadership Award and the Golden Hanger Award. In 2011, Tina was honored by the University of Houston as part of their Living Archive Series and in 2014, by the Texas Women s Empowerment Foundation (TWEF), in both instances for her philanthropic work and achievements in business.

4 A natural teacher and adviser, she makes time to speak regularly at schools and mentors young women. She was one of the faces of Miss A Meal, a program founded by Rudy and Juanita Rasmus to eradicate poverty in the Houston area. She has appeared in public announcements for Goodwill and supports their efforts to employ and empower people in need. The author of Destiny s Style, her 2002 book from Harper Collins, she is currently working on her second book. With her husband, actor Richard Lawson, she is in the process of opening a theater in Los Angeles. Marilyn Booker Managing Director, Head, Urban Markets Group A Morgan Stanley veteran of 23+ years, Marilyn Booker serves as Head of Morgan Stanley s Urban Markets Group. In addition to running a traditional wealth management business, Marilyn also focuses on the urban community and teaches financial education programs all across the country. Prior to establishing The Urban Markets Group, Marilyn was the head of Diversity, Work-Life, EEO and Human Resources Policy for Morgan Stanley. Marilyn is an attorney by training, who has practiced in the areas of criminal defense litigation, municipal finance, corporate bankruptcies and corporate restructuring. A native of Chicago, Marilyn received her B.A. magna cum laude from Spelman College and her J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology-Chicago Kent College of Law. Marilyn is a former trustee of the Morgan Stanley Foundation, a member of The Morgan Stanley Benefit Plan Administrative Committee and a former member of the Morgan Stanley Residential Franchise Risk Committee. She is a former board member of the New York Urban League and a member of the Executive Leadership Council. She is also a former board member of the Arthur Ashe Institute of Health and the Michael J. Berkeley Foundation and has served as Co-Chair of the legendary Apollo Theater s Women s Committee. Marilyn testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations at its hearing on Diversity in the Financial Services Sector. She also appeared on ABC World News Tonight in a segment on Women and the Workforce and was featured in a CBS MarketWatch Weekend segment highlighting Morgan Stanley s Emergency Day Care Program.

5 Marilyn was recognized by Savoy magazine as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America, was recognized by Uptown Professional as one of the 100 Top Executives in America and was honored by the Mt. Sinai Hospital Center for Multi-Cultural Affairs as a Diversity Champion. Marilyn was also selected by the Network Journal as one of the 25 Influential Black Women in Business, was selected by Harvard College Black Men s Forum as its Woman of the Year and was honored by the United Way Pipeline Crisis, the Association for Black Women Attorneys and the Brooklyn, New York, Weeksville Heritage Center. Marilyn was recently honored by the LadyLike Foundation of Los Angeles as its Woman of Excellence and was also the keynote speaker for the Wharton Whitney M. Young Conference. She received the Woman of Distinction Award from the Greater New York Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, spoke at the Harvard Law School BLSA 2017 Spring Conference and was the main stage speaker on Finance and Rebuilding Wealth in Urban Communities at the Living World Christian Center Missions and Marketplace 2017 Conference. Marilyn also has her Series 7, 9, 10, and 66 licenses. The proud parent of three lovely children, Marilyn s interests are golf, tennis, playing the piano and making a difference in the lives of others.
