MODEL SERIAL NUMBERS T206H T thru T , T , T thru T , T thru T , T thru T , T , T thru T The Model T206H airplanes that have replaced the 10865B Oil Cooler after May MODEL T206H SERIAL NUMBERS T thru T REASON NOTE: Authorized Service Facilities must check all spare oil coolers to make sure the serial numbers that follow are removed from spares B Oil Cooler, Serials 1276 thru 1411 Textron Aviation was notified by a supplier of non-conforming material in a specific serial number range of the 10865B Oil Coolers. If the 10865B Oil Cooler has a suspect serial number, the oil cooler must be replaced. DESCRIPTION This service letter provides instructions to inspect the 10865B Oil Cooler for serial numbers 1276 thru If the oil cooler has an identified serial number, the oil cooler must be replaced. COMPLIANCE MANDATORY. This service letter must be accomplished at the next 100-hour or 12-Month (Annual-type) Inspection from the date of receipt, whichever occurs first. CONSUMABLE MATERIAL TOOLING No specialized consumable materials are required to complete this service document. No specialized tooling is required to complete this service document. 2 MANDATORY SERVICE LETTER ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS 1. Look at the airplane maintenance log to determine if the 10865B Oil Cooler was installed or replaced after May A. If the 10865B Oil Cooler was installed or replaced after May 2014; the oil cooler must be inspected for suspect serial number, go to Step 2. B. If the 10865B Oil Cooler was not installed or replaced after May 2014, go to Step Prepare the airplane for maintenance. A. Make sure that the airplane is electrically grounded. B. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position. 3. Remove the left upper and lower cowls as necessary to access the oil cooler. (Refer to the Model 206 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 71, Cowls - Maintenance Practices.) 4. Look at the placard on the 10865B Oil Cooler and record the serial number. Installed Oil Cooler Serial Number Serial Number: NOTE: The serial number to look for will be type-printed on a placard next to the words Serial No.. If the oil cooler assembly has vibro-etch numbers, these are not the serial number for the oil cooler assembly. If the type-printed placard is missing or not readable, you should assume the oil cooler is suspect and replace the oil cooler. A. If the serial number is listed in the table that follows, go to Step 5. B. If the serial number is not listed in the table that follows, go to Step 7. Oil Cooler Serials That Must be Replaced Oil Cooler Serial Numbers 10865B 1276 thru Look on the 10865B Oil Cooler for a placard next to the nameplate that states Inspected per Passed. NOTE: The placard will only be on a suspect oil Cooler that was inspected and tested by the supplier. The supplier will add the placard to the oil cooler prior to reintroduction into the supply chain. The placard will probably not be installed on a suspect oil cooler that was never changed A. If there is not a placard with Inspected per Passed next to the nameplate, the oil cooler must be replaced, go to Step 6. B. If there is a placard with Inspected per Passed next to the nameplate, go to Step Replace the 10865B Oil Cooler. (Refer to the Model 206 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 79, Oil Cooler - Maintenance Practices.) A. Make sure any air shrouds that were removed, are installed. B. Do a leak check of the oil cooler connections. 7. Install the removed cowls. (Refer to the Model 206 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 71, Cowls - Maintenance Practices.) 8. Return the removed 10865B Oil Cooler to Textron Aviation. 9. Make an entry in the airplane logbook that states compliance and method of compliance with this service document. Page 2 February 7, 2018

Eligibility: Parts Coverage: Labor Coverage: Credit Application: Airplanes identified within the serial number effectivity of this service document must have active Airframe warranty coverage on the original issue date of this document and the coverage must be active on the day the work is accomplished. Textron Aviation-owned and Textron Aviation-authorized Service Facilities, operators, or other maintenance facilities may submit a claim for the parts required to accomplish this service document as defined in the Material Availability section of this document. Textron Aviation-owned and Textron Aviation-authorized Service Facilities rated to perform maintenance on the specific model of Cessna Aircraft may submit a claim for the labor necessary to accomplish this service document as defined in the Labor Hours section of this document. After this service document has been accomplished, a claim must be submitted to Textron Aviation within 30 days of the service document completion. Claims for compliance of this service document are to be filed as a W4 type claim.
