2 Page 2 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE Dear members, May is upon us which means the end of Tax Season!!!! In April we were spoiled at Il Cavallino and the food cooked by Chef Marco. The location was very impressive, the hospitality was top notch and the guest speaker just happened to be the Senior Economist for BMO, Sal Gualtieri. This month we will be going to be treated at St. Clair Centre for the Arts. This will be another great opportunity for you to bring a few guests. May will be a very important month for CIBPA. A true opportunity to develop our presence in the area. After the General Assembly meeting at St. Clair, we will be gearing up for the Awards of Excellence on May 21st. The attendance of our members at this event is expected and you will not be disappointed. We finish the month with our annual Golf Day. Again, we need membership to support these events and truly help grow our brand and presence in the Community. Only two months left in our year. Let s make them count. Fino alla Fine!!! On another note, the TSC 2008 Girls soccer team that we sponsor recently went undefeated and won the 2016 Border Stars Tournament in Detroit. Very proud!!!! Also, big congrats to Juventus for winning their 5th straight Scudetto. Hi5tory!!!! Now I just need Italy to win the Euro Cup and the Lions to win the SuperBowl, and I ll be happy!!! Cari Soci, Maggio è su di noi, che significa la fine della stagione fiscale delle Tasse!!!! Nel mese di aprile, eravamo a Il Cavallino con il cibo cucinato da chef Marco. Il business era molto impressionante, l'ospitalità era di prim'ordine e l Economista da BMO, Sal Gualtieri, è stato grande. Questo mese andremo a St. Clair Centre for the Arts. Questa sarà un'altra grande opportunità per voi per portare qualche ospiti. Maggio sarà un mese molto importante per CIBPA. Una vera opportunità di sviluppare la nostra presenza nella Comunità. Dopo la reunione dell'assemblea Generale a St. Clair, saremo preparando per i Premi di Eccellenza per le 21 maggio. Si prevede la partecipazione dei nostri membri a questo evento. Finiamo il mese con la nostra giornata di golf. Anche in questo caso, abbiamo bisogno dei membri a partecipare a questi eventi e veramente far crescere il nostro brand e la presenza nella Comunità. Solo due mesi rimane nel nostro anno. Farli grandi. Fino alla fine!!! In un'altra nota, la squadra di calcio, TSC 2008 Girls, che sponsorizziamo, ha vinto il 2016 Border Stars torneo a Detroit. Ms. PATTI FRANCE, PRESIDENT ST. CLAIR COLLEGE OF APPLIED ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY Ms. Patti France has over 25 years experience in the post-secondary education sector. Over the past decade, she has experienced direct responsibility, at some point, for key College components (Registrar s Office, Human Resources, Student Services, Information Technology Services, Health and Safety, Facilities Management, the formal College interaction with both Unions, primary College interaction with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and all academic issues). Most recently, Patti France was appointed the sixth President of St. Clair College, commencing September 1, As President, Patti France chairs numerous College Committees, including the Senior Operations Committee, which includes members of the Senior Management Team. Ms. Patti France is Vice-Chair of Connecting Windsor-Essex and presently serves on the Board of Directors of Windsor Regional Hospital and also sits on its Finance/Audit and Resources Committee and the Human Resources Sub-Committee. 3 Page 3 MEMBERSHIP SPECIAL EVENTS AWARD OF EXCELLENCE 2016 Guests: A reminder we are growing the Association it s not to late to bring a guest that can be a potential member. They are welcome to attend one of our dinner meetings. Please register your guest by calling or . New Member Applications: Are available on our website Name Tags: Many members have brought them home and forget to return with them. A reminder to leave them at the sign in table name tag case. If the logo on the tags is lost or falls off please leave it with Niva Segatto for repairs. Niva Segatto, Membership Chairperson Board Nominations The Nominating Committee will be accepting nominations for the board. We encourage our Members to get involved with the organization of the Association. The Board can use persons that are committed to doing some work. If you want to have a say or get involved in the way the organization is operated, please put your name forward. Nomination forms are available from the Chair of the Nominating Committee Ms. Sonia Lenhardt. A nominator, nominee and endorsers will be required to fill out a Board of Governors Nomination Form. Forms are required to be submitted to the Chair of the Nominating Committee by the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting on June 7th CIBPA Charity Golf Classic NEW DATE Monday May 30, 2016 Golf Committee is working on the event.
