3 JMS STAFF Dave Myers President Dave Myers is the Owner and President of Jim Myers & Sons. Dave received his formal education at UNCC with a degree in Business Administration. He joined the family business in 1980 and was responsible for manufacturing and field service activities, and in 1992 he transitioned to managing JMS engineering and projects. Dave became the President of JMS in 2005 with responsibilities of overseeing all departments. He is a current and active member of WEF, AWWA, WWEMA (Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association), and CEMA (Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association). During his tenure, Jim Myers & Sons has grown to be a nationally recognized designer and manufacturer of Municipal Water and Wastewater Treatment Equipment. Jim Brettman Senior Application Engineer Jim Brettman has been with JMS for 9 years and serves on the sales side of the business as a Sr. Application Engineer focusing on the JMS Delta-SEPARATION product line, Bio-HANDLING, and Eco-AIR. He has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee and worked in various positions with Exxon Co. for 12 years. After locating to Charlotte, Jim ran his own business for seven years as a rep for industrial wastewater treatment equipment and systems. Jim is proud to have worked closely with Dave Myers in closing the largest single sale by JMS to date, the Boston Deer Island Delta-SKIMMER (scum pipe) project. Jim says, I thoroughly enjoy working with a Company that embodies integrity, quality, and service as its mantra, and working with our Reps to increase the sales of JMS products. Joann Scherf Sales & Marketing Coordinator Joann Scherf has been with JMS for nearly 3 years as Sales and Marketing Coordinator, reporting to Kerry Dissinger. Her formal education resulted in a BS degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Columbia University, New York, NY. Her past work experience includes various sales and marketing responsibilities in the chemical (flocculants) and pigments industries. In her own words, I hope to use my many years of experience to make a contribution to the JMS/Rep Companies Team success. Troy Rives Aftermarket Parts Specialist Troy has been with JMS for one year serving as a Customer Service and Field Service Technician. Having performed field service startups and repair services on new and existing equipment has given him experience with all types of JMS equipment, including flocculators, material handling, and actuators. Prior to coming to JMS, Troy was a warehouse manager and inside salesperson for a company supplying Hydraulic, Pneumatic & Power Transmission Components. Kerry Dissinger Vice President Kerry Dissinger has been employed by JMS for the last 10 years, and currently holds the position of Vice President. Prior to receiving a BS degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Kerry served for 3 years as a US Army Paratrooper stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He also served 6 years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Kerry s nearly 20 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry includes 10 years at Brentwood Industries where he was mentored by the esteemed Dr. McDowell. With his strong background in the water and wastewater process, particularly sedimentation, he is focused on continued growth and innovation, holding several active patents for JMS products. One of Kerry s favorite sayings is: It s not about ideas; it s about making ideas happen. Greg Hyde Product Manager Material Handling Greg Hyde recently joined the JMS Sales and Marketing Team as Product Manager Material Handling. Greg has over 30 years of experience in material handling systems, having held high level engineering, sales and business management positions with large full line conveyor manufacturers. Greg will report to Kerry Dissinger, and be responsible for overall support and growth of the JMS Bio-HANDLING product line. Outside of work, Greg is a founding member of the Jammin 4 Water (Water Charities Fundraising Inc.). In regards to his new position, Greg says, JMS has a rich history in design, quality and material handling. I m excited to be part of this great team and look forward to guiding the Bio-HANDLING product family for long-term growth. Josh Franks Senior Application Engineer Josh Franks is a Sr. Applications Engineer and has been with JMS for 11 years. Over this time, Josh has had the opportunity to assist our reps in selling equipment from the Mega-TREATMENT, Bio-HANDLING, and Delta-SEPARATION product lines. Currently, he focuses on the Bio-HANDLING and Mega-TREATMENT product lines. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University and is a licensed P.E. in North Carolina since In Josh s words, I have enjoyed working with many of you over the last decade, and hope we can continue to grow together in the decades to come. Sam Myers Application Engineer Sam Myers joined the JMS team in March of 2017 initially concentrating on internal and external communications, marketing, and sales support. He has since transitioned to a Product Management and Applications Engineering role for the JMS Eco-AIR (Low Profile Cascade Aerator) and Mega-BEARING (High Performance Bearing System) product lines. Sam is a graduate of the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina where he received a BS in Business Administration (Finance and Business Management). Prior to JMS he worked at a commercial real estate brokerage firm. Sam is the third generation of the Myers family to join JMS.
